  1. 1000, I hope.  :yuck:
  2. The Lifetime Benefactor membership, along with at least one upper and lower combo, I may have to look for a second job to support my TGO fix.   Is there a rough guesstimate as to when this may go down?

  4. Made you look. :yuck: Someone on Facebook found this ad that they saved on an external hard drive. Those were the days, eh?
  5. "A wise man once said, never discuss philosophy or politics in a disco environment." - Frank Zappa

  8. The Dixie Chicks have toured or played with the Eagles during several shows since Natalie's comments. I know they played several dates together back in 2007, and both toured together with Keith Urban 2010.    Taken from Wikipedia:   Taken from The Boot:      While not at the actual show, during an autograph session prior to a show in a foreign country. Taken from Scoop:       So, to be fair, it's not beyond impossible to hear live bashing of the president at an Eagles show. By supporting the Eagles via their quite high ticket prices, you are helping at least part of the Eagles support the Democrats. You may even get to hear him praise Obama himself.  :usa:    We all have the right to whatever opinion we choose, but to single out the Dixie Chicks while continuing to support countless other "artist" who share similar views as the Dixie Chicks is something I don't quite understand. A good portion of those in the entertainment industry support those with ideals that differ from our own, and a great many have not been afraid to openly express them. Unless we're going to burn our radios and televisions, never go see another movie on the big screen, etc., singling out one person/group for having a differing opinion simply doesn't make sense.
  9. Yeah, she definitely didn't consider her fanbase. At least partly due to what you mentioned about NASCAR, I no longer have any interest in going to a race or watching it on television. As a damn yankee who grew up racing, it saddens me to see what they are doing.
  10. I was more or less playing devils advocate, not insinuating I am interested in taking on the government in some sort of physical altercation. While you would consider "taking your country by force", others would consider it taking back their country. As I've said before, the masses are far to spoiled and scared to put up any real kind of fight. The chance of a significant altercation is well below zero percent, in my opinion.
  11. The sooner we let them to kill each other, the better off we'll be.
  12. At which point did George Washington and his men cross the line from mere advocates for ones rights, to a full-blown extremists? And before he was elected as Commander in Chief, when each colony had their own militia? Is a second Revolutionary War completely out of the question, because we now have the right to vote? If not, which one of us has the authority to determine when and where that time has come? What if those of us on the right become so outnumbered by the leftists, voting no longer matters? Again, who makes the call? When and where? The term "extremists" gets thrown around a bit too loosely, in my humble opinion. As we've seen in these so-called "lists of extremists" published by the .gov, just about all of us on this forum have long been labled an extremist.
  13. Making political comments on stage, in general or in song, is very common. I'm a fan of 60's and 70's classic rock, and I've seen and heard countless recordings where a great deal of time was spent on making political statements, via speech and song. If she/they walked on stage and began bashing Obama, most of you would likely be singing a different tune. Pun intended. While my and Natalie's views are polar opposites, I respect her right and courage to voice her opinion. I don't know her personally, but just like I couldn't bring myself to hate any of your for sharing opinions that differ from my own, I don't share the same level of disdain for her as many of you obviously do. Based on her many interviews I've seen and heard, I believe she is a good person, just a bit misguided. Ok, maybe a lot misguided.
  14. Thanks for the recommendations, fellas. Unfortunately, they were a couple hours too late. It was a last minute decision, so didn't allow enough time forth suggestions to come rolling in. We went to Shoguns. It was close to where we were going, but I'll definitely pass on them for another option in the future. It wasn't horrible, but they were cheap with the ingredients you're paying for. While I wasn't expecting to find the next Sukiyabashi Jiro in Clarksville, I have found some pretty damn good sushi in some very unsuspecting cities. We'll try another when we visit Clarksville next time.
  15. None taken. :D
  16. Where? Address or rough directions from 24 would be great.
  17. His Youtube channel. Just what you'd expect.     http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPgOS81sbK1tk54r5eetqhA
  18. He has been put on paid administrative leave.
  19. I know this may not be a time for funny stuff, but remember that picture you posted a while back where you and your dog looked ot have been in some sort of explosion?
  20. Holy smokes! Glad it wasn't any worse. I don't currently reload, but I do appreciate you sharing your story. I would have never thought about the possibility of static electricity causing an issue.    Here's to hoping for a swift recovery.
  21. I agree. In my opinion, if the black community wants to be viewed in a more positive light, they first need to begin by promoting the idea that it's perfectly acceptable - even encouraged - to become someone other than those often described in hip-hop and rap lyrics.
  22. Being white, I generally don't make a habit of searching out racism, but anything is possible. The subject rarely crosses my mind, unless someone brings up the topic. Like you, I have a difficult time believing they encounter racism nearly as much as they perceive. I've had this discussion with my sister and others on many occasions.
  23. Out of sight, out of mind. ;)

  25. She performed that song on The Howard Stern Show a while back. Sounded pretty good. While I didn't agree with her opinion of Toby Keith's song, she was spot on about Bush. He is a douche.
