1. I thought the 4473 lists receivers as "other." They are neither pistols nor rifles. is that not correct?
2. Metallica is my favorite band of all time, so this isn't an easy choice. At this very second, I'd say: Favorite album - Ride the lightning Favorite song - For whom the bell tolls   That could change at any given moment. Mood depending.
3. A couple of the guys from the Howard Stern show were invited to a sneak preview, and they said the camera positioning and 3D work was amazing. Of course, they were talking about the "concert portions" of the show. They didn't get much into the entire plot.
4. Just purchased my tickets. You can pick your seats, and I think I got the best seats in the house.
5. I know there are other metal fans hanging around here. Anyone else looking forward to this? I'll be there on the 27th.    Link in second post.
6. They're saying the dead shooter was a military contractor from Texas.
7. I've heard about the supposed terrorist training camp in Dover, TN, but nothing more than speculation.
8. The Pentagon believes there has been a loss of life.
9. For the record, I've built a couple without all those tools. The link was to give you a general idea. There are a ton of videos on YouTube, showing and explaining how to build an AR. That's what I used as a guide to build mine. I watched several, until I found one that had good camera skills and did a good job of explaining the process. I would suggest you watch some. Once you get all the parts laid out in front of you, it can be a little intimidating. It's not very difficult. Just take your time. Word of caution: be very careful with the tiny springs. They've been known to shoot across the room, never to be found again.
10. He said AR, not AK.
11. Here's a good link. http://www.itstactical.com/warcom/firearms/diy-ar-15-build-introduction-parts-and-tools-required/
12. What you will be getting IS a stripped upper.
13. I would buy it if: 1) I could get it for about $300 2) It had the original grips 3) The original grips are in extremely good condition, so I could sell them and make a good chunk of my money back. Any one the three don't pan out, I'm not interested. But that's just me.
14. We are surrounded by stupid.
15. Sadly, a person's right not to feel uncomfortable trumps your second amendment right every time.
16. It will likely have to go back to the manufacturer. Dealer isn't likely to do much more than tell you the same thing.
17. As we discussed during our recent transaction, I am beginning to agree. I, for the life of me, can't believe how stupid Zimmerman has been since the trial has ended.
18. Have you thought about trying Epifanes? It's not cheap, but it's made to stand up to the elements.
19.
Yeah, I figured the staircase would be expensive......and at the usual 15 steps, that is big chunk of change right there. The carpeting upstairs is starting to look bad, and will need replacement soon. So I would just as soon put down hardwood than re-carpet the floor. I am just afraid that I will run into the same problem about matching the existing hardwood. I chose the flooring from the builder's samples, so I have no idea of the manufacturer or item#. I does look similar in color and grain to the pictures you posted.
The thing is, even if you do know the brand and item number, there's no guarantee it will be an exact match. Not only is your existing wood "used", there can also be some shade variations during the manufacturing process. We've had customers return wood flooring because half of what they purchased was manufactured one day, and the other half was manufactured a week later, having a slightly different shade. Most flooring stores can give/get you some samples to take home and get the closest match. Most hardwood flooring is going to be red or white oak. While they do also use hickory, maple, etc., most average builders will use oak because it's generally cheaper. The pictures I posted are oak.
20. The stair are going to be the expensive part. I got a quote on the stairs leading into the bonus room, and I was told it would be roughly $100-$150 per stair. I don't recall if that was including materials or not.
