1. Billet just looks better.
2.
What should I keep an eye on?
The finish, while it looks pretty and smooth, was garbage on both of them. It didn't take much to knick and scratch through the finish, leaving the bright silver/gray material exposed. On one of them, once you got it put together, it was nearly impossible to get both the takedown and pivot pins in at the same time. After forcing them in, a hammer was needed to push the takedown pin back out. On the second one, the hole for the takedown pin detent and spring was drilled/molded/whatever process they use wrong, resulting in the takedown pin going in at an angle, not allowing it go all the way in. With a few passes of a drill bit slightly larger than the current detent/spring hole, it lined up fine. Both were purchased from Whittaker's at the same time. For the ridiculous price of $160-$180, I was expecting far better quality. Getting MAG Tactical to take care of the issue was such a nightmare, so giving up and never buying another one was a far easier solution. Yours was free, so I wouldn't sweat it too much. Don't be surprised if the fit and finish don't withstand any amount of abuse. They may be lighter, but the fact that they require large pins (that you can only get from MAG, as far as I know) should be a bit telling on the real strength, or lack thereof.
3. I must have misunderstood the video. I thought they said his target was not in the store at the time, but I read the article, and it does appear the target was in fact int he store at the time.
4. Based on my experience with 2 MAG Tactical lowers, you very well may be thankful it was free. In my humble opinion, they are garbage.
5. If you'd rather trade, I can always use .40 or .223/5.56. I don't shoot .45, so those wouldn't be much use to me. Either way, they're yours if you want them.
6. If the wife and kids want to go shooting, I will sell you a brick (325) of Federal AutoMatch for what I have in it. $20. I am also in Springfield, so I'm close.
7. The Affordable Care Act itself states that the IRS cannot file a lien on a property because an uninsured person fails to pay a penalty. Nor can it seize bank accounts or garnish paychecks to recover Obamacare fines. Nor will Americans who refuse to pay for mandatory health insurance be subject to criminal prosecution of any kind.
8. It was closed, but employees were still inside. He was looking for a specific employee who was not there at the time.
9. I thought GT quit selling Smith & Wesson firearms a long time ago.
10. Man, I never knew email could be so complicated. Never had any issues with GMail.
11. I know almost nothing about photography, but I will be getting into it around the first of the year. I have a feeling Santa will be bringing me a Nikon D3200.
12. I-65 Closing for Coal Transport I-65 will be closed tomorrow across Tennessee and Kentucky. They are hauling a 200 ton lump of coal to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota so they can add Barack Hussein Obama to the Mount Rushmore monument. B. H. Obama has stated on national TV that he believes himself to be the fourth greatest U.S. President, behind Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln but greater than Theodore Roosevelt. They had to settle for coal, because they couldn't find a 200 ton piece of s**t.

14. http://www.smokeybarn.com/video-two-people-shot-in-a-home-in-springfield/ This happened just 2 or 3 houses down from us. My girlfriend mentioned this morning that she heard what she thought were several gun shots. I must have slept right through the commotion. So much for moving to a nice, quiet neighborhood. As I was already well aware, this can happen anywhere.
15. The last few firearms auctions I've been to, there was far too much testosterone in the room to get a good deal. It always seemed to come down to two guys that just had to prove they had the bigger....bankroll. It's amazing how many sold at retail prices, if not higher.
16. Man, threads like this make me nervous to build my 300 BLK pistol. I plan(ned) using a PIG on mine, mainly because I like the way it looks.
17. Trust me, I'll be complaining, too.
18. Based on what I've heard from others, I'm praying for your increase.
19. It looks like we've been spoiled for far too long.
20. Sadly, I believe we'll see many more TGOers in the same boat within the coming months. Seeing as I have a job with insurance through my employer, I wouldn't be surprised to be one of them.

23. Mine said accurate to 12 meters. That's with the GPS turned on.
24.
They offer some good specials on lower build kits etc .... Joeboboutfitters has LPK's for $54 or without a trigger for $34... I usually purchase the triggerless kits because I am a geiselle whore haha
JoeBobOutfitters.com is hard to beat on many items.
