Always nice to see fellow Powell-ites on here!

^ = 9mm... ^ = .45 ACP. See, there IS a difference...

+1 to everything he said. I have the aforementioned 512, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I took the time to properly zero when I first mounted it, and I can still hit a golf ball at 100 yards to this day.

Bravo! -
I've seen it live a few times at the Merchants Road store. All you have to do is ask, and there's almost always somebody working who's been "trained". Cryin' shame about that whole posting thing...

Yes, almost all of us were carrying, and we didn't find out about the sign until the next day. Some even went out to the parking lot and changed rigs in the middle of the meal because they couldn't decide which gun should have the privilege of celebrating such a special occasion. Okay, that was me... -
Well hell, if that's your criteria, we can do that at my place! I've got a steady stream of...umm...sports coming through there!
-
I would hold off on that and wait to see what actually transpires. It's entirely possible that this is all just empty rhetoric right now as various businesses attempt to pander to the vocal crybabies. Once the furor dies down and there are no dead children in the streets, all of these places that say they are "going to post" may actually "forget" to do so...

Anybody else see this story this morning? Restaurants have mixed reactions over new gun - alcohol law Granted, they were referring to the Kingston Pike Hooters, but I imagine if one posts, the other will as well. Sort of ironic after the good time we all had, don't ya' think?

+1 to that! And her name was Jordyn...yes, with a 'Y'...lol. Also, more of you should've hung around for the car wash afterward...
-
You couldn't cut it here, man. We all be hard here on the East Side (of the state)...
-
I'll be there before 7, and ATAS and his wife will be there, as well. Homer and Cltccwby may also be joining us.
-
Man, I'd LOVE to do this, but I have my little girl on Mondays. If they decide to do another series in the fall, I can probably switch things around, and I would bet that 70below and I would both be there!

I'm not aware of any specific legal definition of a "meal", so I'm guessing that even bar food counts. Therefore, places like Bailey's--which is open every day of the week--are good (so long as they don't post), whereas places like the Valarium are not.
-
I'm too lazy to do the search, but the actual law that was passed states that carry will only be permitted in establishments that serve at least one meal per day and are open at least 5 days per week. Many nightclubs, for example, will remain off-limits as a result. Hope this helps.

Dude, I certainly did more than my fair share of stuff in that place that SHOULD have resulted in me being hauled off in the paddy wagon, but membership has its privileges... Also, since I've apparently COMPLETELY hijacked this thread, here are some pictures of some of the aforementioned half-naked hoochies from that same night. Oh, and R.I.P. Mask...
-
Hurtful, dude. Hurtful. And I beg to differ. I thought we looked GOOOOD! I didn't spend a lot of time in the "glowsticks" bar. I stayed up in the "half-naked-underaged-hoochies" bar that shared the same property and served as the human stripper pole...

I actually disagree with this statement. Mr. Lewis used his alter-ego to get noticed by the douchebag-fratboy-wannabe crowd, which in turn helped MMA get exposure with a much larger audience (making him millions of dollars in the process, which is never anything to sneeze at). Also, the Tapout show on the Vs. Network gave viewers a little glimpse inside the lives of up and coming fighters, which in turn made them more human and more mainstream. I actually think that "Mask" had quite a bit to do with the current level of success that MMA enjoys. JMOOh, and here's a pic of me and 2 of my bouncer buddies dressed as the Tapout guys for Halloween 2007. I'm SkySkrape...

Not a stupid question at all, as apparently several different versions resemble one another externally. From the H&K website...The P30 Trigger Variants: P30 (V0): Innovative safety trigger with concealed cocking piece in the spurred hammer. Centrally located de-cocking button, with a constant enhanced double action only Law Enforcement Modification (LEM)* trigger pull of approximately 4.5 pounds (20 Newtons) without operation of the de-cocking latch, and defined let-off point. P30 V1: Innovative safety trigger with concealed cocking piece in the spurrless hammer, without de-cocking button. Constant LEM trigger pull of approximately 4.5 pounds (20 Newtons) and defined let-off point. P30 V2: Like P30 V1 but with LEM trigger pull of approximately 7.3 pounds (32.5N). P30 V3: Conventional single action/double action (SA/DA) trigger without cocking piece in the hammer with spur and centrally located decocking button. P30 V4: Like P30 V1, however LEM trigger pull approximately 6.2 pounds (27.5N). P30 V6: Conventional double action only (DAO) trigger without cocking piece in the spurrless hammer. Constant DAO trigger pull of approximately 8.8 pounds (39N). Not all variants available in some regions.

I've got the medium backstrap with large side panels, currently. Also, this is the V3 model with DA/SA trigger, although I am curious about the LEM. And now that you mention it, the slide release on the right side does have a little bit of play in it...

I've been wanting to try out this little beauty for several months after reading nothing but glowing praise in the gun rags and online. I finally found a price that I couldn't resist, so here she is. Haven't had a chance to give her a good workout yet, but I've gotta say, I'm REALLY impressed with the ergonomics and the non-radioactive night sights. I'm all smiles so far...

My fiancée has been hounding me forever about going on a cruise, but I've never really seen the point until now. Think I'll show her this when I get home...

That was...umm...sorta the joke I was trying to make. Guess I failed to convey that properly. I suck at life...

I caught the midnight premiere Tuesday night, and I've gotta admit, I was just a wee bit disappointed. I don't usually side with the critics (I LOVED the first movie even though it got panned), but I agree on the issue of character development. Most of the time, I had no clue who was fighting, and a good chunk of the characters were never even named. The plot was almost non-existent, and the filmmakers seemed to view dialogue and exposition as just a necessary evil used to fill space between fight scenes. Don't get me wrong--I still had a good time. As a huge Transformers fan from day one, I was just expecting more.
