The way I was taking it was the 50 dollars was to cover the background check... so do lifetime holders have to pay anything or the only thing they have to worry about is if something comes back on the background check they will be doing automatically?

So this law goes into effect July 1 stating that TN carry permit holders must undergo a background check every 4 or 5 years. Does that apply to lifetime holders? That's pretty much defeating the purpose of paying the large sum up front in order to save money on renewals. If TN is a constitutional carry state now how does this make sense?

I've ordered a frame on sale going to order a parts kit too soon. I was wondering if anyone close to the tri cities has some experience in building these that could work with me on my 1st build.

Just got my 1st p80 and have a few questions. Are all gen 3 glock 17 parts interchangeable? Are 17 holsters compatible if not Are g17 w/light holsters compatible since retention comes from the light usually instead of the trigger guard? I'm sure I have more but that's enough to get started

I'm not sure about polymer lowers on an ar15 I've heard some horror stories. Id like to stick with aluminum.

I'm looking into building a couple or ar15s from the ground up. Anyone have a source for stripped lowers in East TN? Looking to buy a couple of Andersons to get started but having issues finding a shop with any.

Ive been looking into getting a plate carrier and some body armor plates for a shtf situation. Can anyone point me in a certain direction as far as manufacturers and reliability/ergonomics? The only one ive seen at the shows is ar500 but I know there has to be more choices. Looking for at least 3a protection to withstand rifle calibers.
