Yep! Fried / grilled on toast with mayo and a nice thick slice of juicy garden fresh tomato and a couple of olives and chips to peak the ole taste buds. Getting it cut to order thick from the local butcher shop is so much better than what's at your supermarket! BTW. Not to disrespect a mans bologna, or steal this thread, what's yawls favorite way to cook deer back straps?

Could be a few things but try this first... If only two years old I doubt it's the CFM bearings but you have nothing to lose. Take the top of the A/C unit off so you can get to the fan, then spin the fan and it should spin easily and freely. If it does not, it's probably the CFM (condenser fan motor) bearings or binding on the shroud. If it DOES NOT have sealed bearings, it will have 1-2 yellow oil caps that accept oil. If you have the yellow bearing oil caps, put a half dozen drops of oil in them. If it's not the bearings, it's a little to complicated to describe troubleshooting in writing. Could be you have head pressure control and your low on refrigerant. Might be a bad CFM. Might be a weak capacitor or electronic control? Good luck!

Yea, there are better safes than Liberty if you're willing to pay a small fortune. For the value of the stuff I need to secure and some fire protection, I selected a Liberty Fat Boy for my needs and price range. I believe you can configure it to hold 24 long guns with no problem. I purchased mine and had it delivered and placed in position from the Nashville Safe House. I went there one Saturday and looked at dozens of safes and had a lot of questions about safes, which they expertly and patiently answered. Went home and made my choice and called them, paid, and had it delivered in just a few days. They were good folks to deal with and the safe was a bargain. Based on my experience I highly recommend them. I believe they are a TGO sponsor too? Good luck.

Got a phone call yesterday informing me my new Stag 3L AR-15 had arrived :yum: I had ordered it shortly before last Thanksgiving and was told not to expect it for up to two years! Called a buddy and we went down to the dealer, did the paper work and picked it up. While waiting for the paper work to be processed we started looking around. They had some 9mm ammo and plenty of CCI .22 LR ammo, so guess what, picked some up. My buddy suggested we stop by another local gun shop on they way back just for fun, since it was a nasty day raining and all. Walked in and immediately noticed he had a few cases of 9mm, bought a few more boxes! Got all excited about finding quality 9mm & .22 LR I forgot all about even asking if either one of them had any 556 NATO / .223 Remington? Seems the ammo shortage is easing up a bit, except at my local Wally World. Looking forward to shooting a carbine that doesn't throw brass and gas in the face... Next project, a Ruger 10/22 in left hand

Church asks boys scouts to leave.
Dennis1209 replied to vontar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The majority of Americans don't identify themselves by perverted and unnatural sexual acts, want special treatment, hate laws passed, all health-care research and medications directed towards AIDS and flaunt their deviance in your face and demand acceptance. A scientific fact: If the majority were gay, the world certainly would not be approaching a population of seven billion. Where do you draw the line in the sand Mr. Robert? Anything and everything seems perfectly acceptable to you, What two people do in privacy is none of my business or concern as long as it doesn't dig into my pocket, shove it in my face, my off spring doesn't acquire the illness, tell me to accept it, or pass hate laws that deny me the right to express my opinion about something that should not be public and held out for everyone to vomit. -
Church asks boys scouts to leave.

It's been half a decade since I was a scout but I seem to remember... On my honor I promise to do my best and do my duty to God and country and obey the scout laws. To remain... "Morally straight"? I think that used to be in there? I was wondering how long it would take the BSA to get corrupted. The GS were taken over by and now support Planned Parenthood. Use to buy ton's of GS cookies and Boy Scout eats during their drives, but not anymore unfortunately since the organizations caved into what I don't believe or support. Crying shame! What's next, 4-H and beastality? -
The Dishonest Gun-Control Debate
Dennis1209 replied to JR2ATN's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Here's how it actually is... You can make the most rational argument, be absolutely correct with proof positive, with actual accurate surveys, polls and Constitutional laws with history... But, that doesn't dissuade the powers that be from "people control" and an agenda of socialism / sharia law. The 2nd Amendment protects the 1st, look at where we're headed with hate speech, the Muslims and the suppression of our freedoms! All in the name of political correctness and the "new" world order. -
Been there, done that my man... Try repairing a leaking sink drain basket all by yourself and the basket not rotating as you tighten the basket nut from underneath! BTW... If you only have a million items under your sink, you must not be married. Trying to find the Windex or can of Comet under the sink is a whole day's project. Between the wife's purse she carries and under the sink would be a good place to look for the missing Jimmy Hoffa. I shouldn't tell on myself but, ten years ago or so the right side of the double sink, garbage disposal side was stinking. The garbage disposal was about ten years old and seldom used (everyone knows you never put any food intentionally into the plumbing system even with a garbage disposal right?) Anyway, I had heard somewhere to internally clean a garbage disposal, dump a tray of ice cubes in it and hit the switch. BIG, BIG MISTAKE. They don't make steel shells like they use to :stunned:

I too have a pair of Winchester bi-pods I occasionally use on my AR and .22 rifles when bench rest plinking. For a $40.00 bi-pod I'm happy with them.

What has the Federal Government done to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and of a free people? Other than spending ourselves to death empire building for people(s) who are our sworn enemies of a Satan America. It's common knowledge given half a chance, they will always revert to Sharia law and condemn U.S. for interfering in their domestic conflicts. Well, it goes well beyond that but the last thirteen years have really accelerated to us becoming subjects of the all powerful government. At what point does the word "tyranny" come into play? I have a list three arms length what your masters are doing to suppress our freedoms and undermine our founding documents and freedoms as U.S. citizens. I'm seeking someone who can convince me by government action, laws, treaties, United Nations involvements, liberal propaganda, socialistic welfare programs, illegal alien acceptance, wage taxation, anti 2nd Amendment actions, suppressing and targeting conservative views by force of IRS, inflating our fiat currency, Homeland Security, etc. That I'm not paranoid and my Reynolds Wrap tin hat ain't on too tight? In this generation right before our very own eyes we are being hood winked and our national heritage is being stolen from us, our children and our posterity. Just look at the recent liberal news influenced by the government for the last few weeks to see how out of control the government has become. When the liberal media starts to take notice and report on it, it's very serious. I ask again, what is "tyranny" and at what point does our government masters reach it? At what point do you become a slave to taxes and restrictive activities? Food for thought...

Surely there's something in Obamacare that covers tree removal and chipping? I mean, if the population can get free cell phones, health-care, foo stamp, section eight, WIC, earned income, three hots and a cot... Surely some tree cutting and removal is in there somewhere for free? Come on... Do a little paper work, fill out a few forms, and let the government take care of it....

Just wanted to give a recommendation to y'all that live in NW Tennessee. FFL dealer and gunsmith "First Choice" in Murray, KY. does great work at reasonable prices and great customer service. Used them the last two times I wanted something done with my pistols. Not getting anything out of it but, just feel that when you get excellent service, great gunsmithing at reasonable prices, it doesn't hurt to take a moment of my time to share my experiences (word of mouth).

Unfortunately, the wrong doers (PD) will be out nothing financially. Neither will all the floating renters. It will be the back bone of society, the property owners, who will dig much deeper to continue necessary services. Is it fair for the "collective hive" to be fined and punished for the mistakes, abuse, jobs of individual(s)? That said, cover / concealment is the best part of discretion...

I have an eighteen inch wide grand canyon going through the center of my garden from all the rain. Planted okra, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, bush green beans, cabbage, zucchini, turnips, and Better Boy tomato's. Turnips and green beans just broke the ground the other day. Weeds / grass seem to be growing faster and can't get into the mud to hoe them out. Oh yea, I won't even mention the hundreds of deer prints turned into hundreds of mini ponds in the garden. Two of my favorite vegetables are Lima beans and peas and I didn't plant any. At my age I can pick them and shell them all day long and not have much to show for all my labor when all said and done. There's got to be a better and more efficient way to shell peas and Lima beans than by hand. In thirty-five years of planting tomato's, last years crop was by far the best ever. For the first month of harvesting, most were the size of a softball or larger and so very tasty. Only problem is, I don't know what I did differently than any other year? Oh yea... In those thirty-five years I've known many people who had some ripe tomato's by July 4th, not me, ever... I've always made it a goal of mine to try and get at least one ripe tomato by then. Last year was the first time ever I had numerous softball size ripe tomatoes by the end of June, go figure? Sure would like a repeat this summer!

Personally I enjoy getting out and shooting IDPA, just to send some rounds down range if nothing else. Whom ever dreams up some of these scenarios and stages must be having a relapse from their college experimental days... Actual scenario from memory: You and your small child are at the park sitting at a picnic table (the child is represented by a heavy doll). When several armed bad guys approach you and demand your money and valuable. You are to grab your gun out of your man-purse on the picnic table, grab your kid (doll) and put two rounds strong hand only in the torso of each bad guy. You are not to drop the kid, you are to use the kid as a shield, shower him / her with hot brass, use kid as a chest rig / body armor and blow his / her ear drums out? I laughed so hard at the stage description when being read I got the hiccups. Guess it could happen, but certainly not the man-purse thing

Darn! I hate it when I get out shot gunned! Hope he has a camper shell on his pick up? Not to be out done, I'll have to take some TP.

All good advice. Another suggestion but not absolutely necessary. Electronic hearing protection is a benefit to hear what's going and range commands. That's about the only time I wear electronic muffs. Another item I use for IDPA is a set of Perry suspenders. Keeps the shirt tucked in, the load comfortably distributed and never need to fidget with my gear. Like stated above, show up to shoot, not watch!

I bought this "Cherry Tree" and planted it about four years ago when it was a little stick. I purchased it from a major seed company. Please correct me if I'm wrong but, it sure doesn't look like a cherry tree or any tree at all. Please tell me I didn't waste the last four years on this bush! I believe it takes about seven years to get your first cherries, at my age I don't have another seven years waiting on a cherry tree...

That's an awesome coop! It's an undisputed fact, chickens living in upper middle class housing / fenced housing and gated communities, are happier and produce better  Chickens raised and living in low income HUD chicken housing tend to be very lazy, expect free handouts, free scratch and have the eggs delivered to them. They forfeit their benefits if the rooster lives in the coop I hear  Nice job!

LAPD Settles w/ Women shot during Dornan manhunt
Dennis1209 replied to Lumber_Jack's topic in General Chat
I have a slightly different take. On the surface yea, you would think the victims deserve a boat load of money for the incompatence of the PD, The PD has no money, L.A. has no money, their income is generated by taxes, those that force themselves to get out of bed at a certain time daily and labor for a living to provide for themselves and their families. As a general population, how much taxes y'all think the tens of thousands of LA gang-bangers pay, welfare recipients, illegals, renters, etc.? As a law abiding, working / productive citizen who owns a home / property / business, why should I be penalized and my ability to provide for me and my family diminished with more excessive taxes to cover those that bear little of the their responsibility. Poor choices bear personal responsibility and should not be assumed by a collective social society as punishment for errs / stupidity of others. IMHO, those responsible for gross errors in judgement and actions bear total personal responsibility and should be held individually criminally and financially responsible until the adjudicated judgement is satisfied. But hey, I'm left-handed and I'm told I think in my right mind :ugh: -
You only touched the tip of the iceberg. If anyone really knew the influence and authority the federal / state government has on the liberal education of your public educated children, you would cringe. Like, to meet federal government standards, they must use teaching books approved by the government and the national liberal teachers union. The teachers union is NOT interested in teaching, they're there for the socialistic pay and benefits for themselves, period! My have times changed... Teaching at public schools the proper illustrated use of condoms, alternative life styles and the gay lifestyle is to be accepted, ZERO tolerance for a kid to be a kid, everyone is equal and there should be no recognition for special scholastic or physical achievement, not to offend the under achievers and dummies. Go figure...

Rest assured, the media, liberals, Hollywood and the elite still hate the American fighting forces, for which they stand and despise them. It's just currently popular opinion not to go against the tide at this time. It's well past the time to separate the wheat from the chaff in America. Oh shoot, we already done that, and the chaff is getting all the goodies from the backs of working productive Americans. I need to calm down!

Tennessee Senators vote FOR Cloture on Gun Bill
Dennis1209 replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Same here. I'd post the Senators responses to my 2nd Amendment concerns but, you all got the same cover letters. Got a letter from the Prez yesterday on the issue, and I'm all warm and fuzzy inside... -
Here I was all nice and content reading some posts and the name "Jane Fonda" blurted out and slapped me in the kisser. Gee, thanks Roadkill for making my day and sparking my hate once again. Someone once said, "time heals all wounds"? Well, it's been 42 years for me and she's a festering sore that will never heal. I would really like to know what her father "Henry" thought about her deep down in his heart. Personally, I could care less what Hollywood, the rich and the professed elite do and say when it doesn't effect me and mine and my country. Perhaps some youngsters here don't know or remember the extent of her treason and the effects or our servicemen fighting so you could sleep well every night, and stop the spread of global communism sweeping the earth. Is anyone aware of the harsh, brutal, torturous and inhumane treatment our prisoners of war (POW'S) in Vietnam received, and the affect of her treasonous sympathetic appearance with the enemy in Hanoi, North Vietnam? How that played out with our POW'S and moral of our American fighting forces, then and thereafter? Had you or I done that very thing, what you think would happen? I don't like to carry hate in my heart, it's unhealthy and unproductive, I've never really "hated" anyone in my life time. Save Hanoi Jane Fonda, for which I have a burning desire that her life is a wreck, she dies destitute and slowly, impoverished, and an eternal line waiting to urinate on her final resting place. On the next installment, I might tell y'all how I really feel, stay tuned!

You are a seasoned Carpenter Bee hunter Jonnin! I'm here to tell ya, my pole barn is Swiss cheese. With bad shoulders I can't swing as hard as Jimmy Connors anymore but... I hit them so hard they hit the sheet metal in the barn you'd think it was a .22LR. Then I hobble over there fast and stomp them and twist my feet to ground them into dust in the dirt floor and hunt for another one. Fifteen - thirty seconds later I hear this bizz, bizz, bizz and look over to where I just crushed that bee, lo and behold, it rises from the dirt and starts flying again. I've never seen an insect so tough to kill...
