  1. So you were standing in the street, in an attempt to technically avoid the fact that the hospital has made rule for their property, to help improve the health of everyone who comes and goes to their facility? Sheesh man... can't you just show a little self restraint and have a smoke later? It's not like they are asking all that much of you, is it?
  2. So they are saying the sidewalk is public property and not owned by HCA?
  3. Oh, and I guess if you really want to push, I could try to locate some of my maps from when I used to manage a couple of the buildings off campus that were eventually purchased by HCA... but honestly - I think you should just comply with the wishes of the property owner.
  4. It's what I do. And to be honest - keeping all my "play money" in one account not only has that safety benefit to limit your exposure, but it also makes it easier to keep "fun" purchases accounted for and nice and clean when you sell something. Shoot - I suggest everyone to use this method if you have a hobby you regularly buy, sell, and trade goods in...
  5. I don't know about Murphy, but I do know for a fact that HCA owns part of 24th Ave north as it dead ends into the campus coming from Charlotte Ave., so them owning a portion of Murphy that passes through the campus is not out of the question. But seriously - what's the big deal about you respecting their no tobacco policy?
  6. I think so - but I have had a Business account with PayPal for longer than I can remember, so I'm not sure how it's done. One recommendation would be to have a dedicate d"play fund" checking account that is tied to the PayPal account. That way at worst - you're out the "play money" for a few days to get this straightened out, instead of your working household account.
  7. If the funding request came through payPal - your bank account is safe as soon as you "disconnect" it from the Paypal account.
  8. Hi-jack... but how do you remember those randomly generated passwords?
  9. Why are you closing your bank account? I had $1600 fraudulently taken from my bank account through PayPal about a year ago. It took about 3 days to get it back, but the people never had access to my bank - they just hacked into my PayPal account.

  11. Joe, I really need to come see you guys. I ordered an unassembled AR (my first AR)last night for under $550 w/ receiver, so when it gets here in a few weeks I'm sure the bug will bite me and I'll be looking for bolt ons.
  12. Too late, my TGO pumpkin has succumbed to brain rot... maybe it was a zombie all along? BTW, am I supposed to contact someone to collect my prize, or wait patiently until someone contacts me? I'm new here, remember
  13. Which gets me back to my first reply to this thread
  14. I think you misunderstand what "property" we are talking about. And if your local sheriff department is telling you that you have permission to shoot someone else's animals (property) that are not putting you or your property in imminent danger - they need to be removed from their jobs.
  15. As with most things - the buyer pays fees like that. But I think you are right on the fees making a good deal not as good. Consider $45 in fees and shipping on a general sale. Not a big deal on a $1500 gun. A very big deal for a sub $300 gun.

  17. 1. I'd delete this thread - what you intend to do is not legal. 2. I'd do whatever needs to be done: quietly, discreetly, as needed.
  18. Well, I put a 22lr round through the side of mine - just testing out the Phoenix arms dirt-cheap 22 I picked up, well, dirt cheap. Very un-impressive. I need to bust out the shotgun.
  19. Shooting a POW in the back of the head j/k...
  20. Well, I can't complain too much - I figured being a "new guy" I'd get passed over for the "regular" posters. Wait, I can complain! The vote was sexist, racist, secularist, pluralist, disenfranchisiest, & the cheesiest! I was held down by "the man"! Wait... that doesn't sound good I want reparations, considerations, and conflagrations! I demand a recount! Count those hanging pumpkin seeds - every last dern one of them!
  21. I demand a re-count!

Is that a reason to get a paid membership, or not to get a paid membership?
  23. I just want to compliment EVERYONE who stepped up and submitted something. Good, bad, or somewhere in-between - you took the time and that's cool in my book
  24. When I was a kid it was a nice place to go. was.
  25. You only own one gun? Isn't that... like... against the laws of nature or something?
