Guess which thread has magically disappeared over on Arfcom

Well duh - other tactical mall ninja's! -
I bought one of these over 15 years ago, and it seems to still do the job just fine:

Also, any of you with a specific "cause" you want addressed, perhaps you should summarize your "issue" in a short descriptive few sentences for the rest of us. I have no problem adding in language to my letter that I am personally ambivalent about, if it helps us all out get clearer and more reasonable regulations.

Not sure if this matters on the state level, but I know when I have written letters in the past commenting on National Forrest issues, I have always been directed to include the wording that I request my letter be entered into the public record regarding the comment period. I will be writing and sending a paper letter tomorrow for sure with my suggestions.

That's because you're talking to the men of the family... I'm betting our wives don't tip nearly as generously

I'll pretty much buy any hand gun priced to me under $100 - lol. I have one similar, but not all pretty and shiny. Belonged to the FIL, I gave the MIL way more than that for it just so I could hold on to it for one of my kids to get something from their grandfather (who died well before they were born). Good fund

No thanks - I don't believe in closing threads or deleting posts. I have no problem leaving my posts up, flawed as they may be. I also refuse to let those who post just to see their text on the screen run me off... I ain't that easy -

Aaaaand yet another one who thinks they have it all figured out... Especially the part where it is *my* fault this thread degraded when people like you failed to follow the topic focus I set from the start. Yep - you got me, I forced you and the other people to post Combative and disagreeable... rich -
Get the right place, the right shift, and a good personality, you can make a LOT of money working far less than "full time".

I noticed that I'm not a member there, and really don't want to join. Several of the threads I found in searching were from that forum, and they seemed to run up against a similar lack of evidence. Besides, what good is a response from a bunch of people who already prefer OC? At least here - with the majority anti-OC attitude - I *hoped* at least a few could provide data to support their position. -
Was this already posted? Seems *somewhat* relevant: Police: 102 guns stolen last year » Local News » Press-Republican Technically could have happened without serial numbers being posted... but does throw a log on the fire.

Which place(s) don't allow this? Most of them can go back and run it with the tip added as a function of most CC machines... at least I can't recall a place that couldn't.

By all means, feel free to correct me if you disagree with what I said. I've been wrong once or twice... today

Fair enough This is a subject I get short about. Not when people chose - as I do - to tip however they feel appropriate. What I cannot stand is any server that acts as if they "deserve" a tip. A tip is not a guaranteed thing, it is earned, and given freely based on the level of service provided. Not sure how to state that more softly, but that the entitlement mentality that *some* servers (not all of them) seem to have. Perhaps I was a bit snippy to the server I replied to, my apologies for that. He's probably not of the entitlement sort, but he's sticking his toe in the water You are quite generous for "truly terrible" service - lol. And to clarify - there is a HUGE difference in poor wait staff service and problems in the kitchen, and my tip to the waiter is determined without regard to kitchen issues. Unfortunately many people take the kitchen's troubles out on the wait staff - and that is something that must suck for the waiters. I don't buy drinks at bars - they are already overpriced before you start figuring in tips Again - it's not about how much to tip, my problem with is anyone thinking they *deserve* a tip. If servers weren't happy with the OBVIOUS benefits to a tip based wage system, they would seek employment elsewhere, or change the payment system.

Plenty of parks with skill/equipment appropriate trails available. Several are listed here: Off Road Parks - New Tennessee Offroad Forum I frequent Wooly's and Wheelin' In The Country more than most simply due to their proximity to me. Windrock/Coal Creek is another good one to check out.

I am well aware of how to use Google, and google has been of no help in finding relevant info. If were able to use Google to find what was requested, you could always share, instead of simply being obtuse. Not OC, but it seems this article does reference someone targeted for their gun collection: Thieves Beat Gilroy Man, Steal Up to $2M in Guns - KION - Monterey, Salinas, Santa Cruz - News Weather -
Any gunsmith in MidTN wanna do an AK muzzle break?
DRM replied to a topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
When you say threads were ground down, do you mean someone took a grinder to the barrel threads? I'd sure try having someone run a tap back over them to see if you can salvage them at all before making permanent mods. If not, and you are ok with a slip fit - it's not a big deal to have someone tack a few beads of weld on there... Shouldn't even require a "gunsmith"... just someone with a welder. -

<<sigh>> Because the search for truth and knowledge is independent of my particular wants, needs, or desires? What you did was take it upon yourself to flub up this thread because you lacked the ability to understand the topic, and STILL seem unable to understand the topic because you now want a pat on the back for injecting "valid points" where none were requested or wanted. -
BTW, here in TN I generally double the tax, give or take a bit depending on the server's attentativeness. For buffet style, I tip $1 per person, period. I know some people who refuse to tip at all, and I can respect that view as well (if they wanted more money - they should raise the prices). Servers do that job because they make good money and a lot of it never gets reported on their taxes... so there are benefits to put up with the system.
-
If you want more - I'd suggest doing more work, or a better job. Your table? I think you have your priorities off a bit. I'd love to see the math where you explain how you are losing money. It seems you don't understand what a "tip" is. The product costs what it costs. A "tip" is based on exceptional service, not just doing your job. Listen, I can be a very good tipper when the situation presents itself. However don't - as a server - act like you DESERVE a tip, if you didn't actually excel at that service.

Again, you show your inability to understand what "the topic" is. See, I posted what he topic is (a request for facts), and you decided you wanted to talk about another topic (opinions). These threads become "circle jerks" when people like you fail to adhere to the topic (a request for facts) and instead ramble on about another topic (opinions). I hate to be blunt - but this thread would stop being a "circle jerk" the moment some of you learn the difference and either post facts, or stop posting to this thread. -

It is becoming clear some of you have trouble understanding the difference in a request for facts, and a discussion based on opinions. A thread requesting facts does not seek to answer anything, it simply requests facts. Those facts can then be discussed (preferably elsewhere) and formulated into opinions. Do you really not understand the difference? Why do you keep talking about opinions, when I asked about facts?
