1. Ya, generally, if you go on a saturday on a nice day, it will be pretty busy. The best times to go is during the week and even when it not sunny and warm. I do worry sometimes about range safety. Especially when its crowded.
2. Congrats on a good day. Im planning on going on wed morning. Pretty excited.
3. this is my first piston AR and I am impressed with how clean the rifle runs. I like the rail on the SPR the best
4. Took my new LWRC SPR out and my brother in laws Mossberg 1500 out to get it sighted in. Ted brought his LWRC M6A3 as well. The 7mm mag kicks like a mule... Shoulder is recovering. Mossberg Model 1500 and my LWRC SPR in Odie 5.56 vs. 7mm mag. Ted's LWRC M6A3. Very nice rig.
5.
It's on the light side, but if you put it in the heart or lungs, it'll certainly do the trick! Probably not a guaranteed dead-on-the-spot round, but with 4 holes in the lungs, most deer ain't going far.
ya, i'll have to see what I can borrow.
6. what do you think about 5.56 for deer hunting?
7. i know nothing about deer hunting. All i know is that they taste great and i would like to get a couple deer to fill a freezer. My brother in law has a little bit of land where he said i could hunt. I know you have to have a license and looked at the TWRA website and saw the info about limits and all. I don't want to invest in a lot of money in equipment and camo, and stands. What the best way to go about this. Also i don't know how to field dress a deer so I'm a little worry about what I do after it shoot one.
8.
Long guns must go through a FFL if out of state. handguns must be transferred in state.
So as long as they are a FFL I can buy a rifle out of state. May be trecking up to Owensboro to buy a LWRC
9. I can buy a rifle out of state. Just not handguns right?
10.
With firsthand experience, I can say they are phenomenal rifles. You should check out Whittaker Guns in Owensboro. They have the same rifle, with a Geissele trigger, for $2369. I was there yesterday and the had 5 LWRC SPR’s: 2 black and 1 OD with 14.7 inch barrels and 2 with 16 inch barrels, one OD and one black. Whittaker is great to deal with. Plus sales tax in KY is only 6% if you decide to make the drive. http://www.whittakerguns.com/ Also, Guns & Leather is an LWRC dealer and they have good prices, but I don’t know if they have any SPR’s in stock.
Ya i was at G&L on friday and they had one SPR. It was the 16" black base model. they were selling it for 1950. If it was a 14.7" i probably would have bought it on the spot and just upgraded the furniture myself.
11.
Yeah, because a vast majority of politicians aren't white.
Ya, but what percent of population are politicians. I just think that he didn't appeal to the minority and younger group like Obama did. The voting population has changed and more hispanic and younger generations are voting. I wonder what would have happened if Romney was black. 12. because he is too white
13. Im hoping that the gas piston runs cleaner and easier to clean.
14. Anybody got one? I was at Franklin Gun Shop last thursday and was drooling over a LWRC 16" SPR in ODG that they just got in ($2699 before tax!) The fit between the upper and lower was awesome with absolutely no movement. The free floating rail felt great as well. I've been pricing them online, and it seems like a lot of dealers are out of stock and backordered for weeks. Check out this beauty... 15. this is why i carry concealed unless I'm at the range. Don't want to deal with numb nuts like that.
16. Racking. Even when I chamber a round starting with a the slide locked back, the round still gets hung up
17. anybody having problems with failing to return into battery with a full mag? The only thing i don't like about the kahr is that their mags are ####.
18. Thanks everyone for the responses. Looks like we are going to have to call an electrician. I'm sure the house is wired all crazy.
19. @TMF - when you say check the other outlets what do you mean? @Jtmase - The house is a out 20 years old. Only one of the bathrooms actually have the test and reset buttons. The other outlets in the bathrooms done have buttons.
20. Everything is unplugged. The receptacles in both the upstairs and downstairs bathroom don't work.
21. Haha ya. That's what happens when you have family visiting and all the women are getting ready at the same time.
22. We reset the breaker and even got a new receptacle. Still doesn't work. The test button won't push in and the reset button doesn't stay in when you push it in
23. So there was multiple hair dryers going on in the house today and now the receptacles in all the bathrooms won't work. The GFCI won't reset. when i try to push the button in, it wont push in. The main panel switches are all "on." Any ideas as what's wrong.
24. Got my Kahr PM9 with the crimson trace laser today. Took it to the range after work and put about 150 through it. Good little shooter. Recoil is about the same as my G26. I love the size and weight on this thing. Gonna be my new EDC. Enjoy the pics..
