  1. They may not want to deal with TN taxes and all that. If a place does business in the state where you live you have to pay taxes on the internet purchases. Who knows...
  2. Really? Same old song and dance if you ask me.
  3. Coal creek had about 10 boxes of .380 last weekend. They wanted $40 per box. It was the cheap no-name crap too. Randy's guns and knives in Fountain City had plenty of .45 today when I was in there at lunch.
  4. The hooters on k-pike recently got a terrible rating from the inspector, or so says Don Dare. Plus it being bike night does not sound fun. The one on Merchants is a little nicer IMO. Not that any of you all know me or anything, but I may try to get a yard pass from the wifey.
  5. Were heading that way for the LMU graduation today. Wish I could hit the gunshow instead.
  6. I had some work done at Randys Guns in halls and was very satisfied. Their customer service is light years beyond Coal Creek's. You don't have to worry about Randy's guys being toolsheds when asking questions.
  7. Welcome. The norris range is public, and is pretty nice... fairly cheap to shoot there too if you join for the year.
  8. A buddy and I were discussing this article on WBIR's page about the 10% increase of HCP's in Knox county (an "explosion" apparently to WBIR's copywriters ). One of the comments at the bottom says: I did some quick googling, and found this article about Jiverly Wong (the NY immigration house shooter). Okay, this sounds like a purchase / TBI - like check that he went through each time he bought a new gun or traded. Now this quote from ABCnews.com says: What does "gun permit" mean? It can mean any number of things to me. I did some further digging and found the TV station's website that recieved the letter from Wong. Here's the original story where they reported receiving the letter. Still nothing of meaning. I googled "new york pistol permit" and I found this picture: There's no denying that, he had a true HCP. The media is going to have a field day.

    TWRA land?

I have heard rumors of guys out ATVing while carrying concealed and being fined by TWRA for having a weapon on TWRA land. It has something to do with the caliber of the weapon and if it is hunting season as well. I don't know for sure myself. There's some land in Campbell county that is managed by the TWRA (Royal Blue) that is both hunted and used by ATV riders nearly year round. I personally would like to get to the bottom of this and figure out if I can carry in there legally or not.
  10. I've never noticed it being posted. Just ads and junk stuck on the glass on the doors. I go in that entrance almost every time I hit West Town.
  11. Back in 2004 when I lived in Smyrna, my wife and I lived in an apartment off of Sam Ridley. I saw spiders occasionally, but then almost all of a sudden I'd see spiders everywhere. Under the bed, in the closet, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, in the window sills... every freakin where. These were brown recluses too. I had a spare bedroom with a closet. I didnt get in there often. One night I opened the door. There was three spiders on the wall, and one on the door that fell off and nearly landed on me when I opened it. The wife and I told the landlord and she blew us off saying "Oh its that time of year! Hahaha!" So we put down some sticky boards and caught a few. We printed out some pics of necrotic bites from the internet and took them down there. She changed her story at that point and called an exterminator. I'm so glad we moved out shortly after that.
  12. And then he would have been out $50 to the city for running it. It is camera enforced. On the positive side, it would have all been on camera so the organ donor could have possibly been identified.
  13. Hmm, I may have to make it out for this one. I'll probably have the rugrat in tow, however. This will make his 4th gun show.
  14. I didnt find any at the little gun show in Jacksboro over the weekend. One vendor told me there was none available nationwide. He also said it would be April before it was available again. Thankfully I have about 10rds left for carry purposes.
  15. Welcome
  16. Nice trigger safety too (finger off under the "slide").
  17. There's gonna be a show up here at the national guard armory in Jacksboro next weekend. It will be interesting to see if any .380 will be available.
  18. Surfing on the intarweb?? LOL
  19. Yeah, I thought a few people looked new. I did recognize a couple of guys that helped me buy a Sig back in 2005. I wonder if that was JWP?

    'Taking Chance'

It was a great movie. I teared up a couple times myself.
  21. I checked three different places yesterday in Knoxville for some Winchester whitebox .380 to burn up at the range, and all three were out of ANY kind of .380. What gives? Is it this bad everywhere? I checked the Walmart in Halls, Randy's guns and knives, and Coal Creek. The guy at Randy's says they had five boxes total yesterday and someone bought them all. He also said its hard for them to get it in. Is there hoarding going on that I should know about?
  22. I <3 my Bersa .380 CC. Very small and easy to hide.
  23. That tends to happen as well once they figure out who's winning.
  24. Does it have a removable backstrap or something? Is that what those extra pieces are?
  25. Their new cd is awesome. I have not stopped playing it since it came out.
