  1. Here ya go.   http://www.newschannel5.com/story/22028364/nearly-3-dozens-surveillance-cameras-aid-metro-police     And coming soon TSA everywhere!!
  2. Press conference right now. Media is grilling LE about Miranda rights. Sick. . .
  3. Is this right?   http://www.wsmv.com/story/21996727/fatal-shooting-of-dog-in-front-of-owner-apparently-legal   Demetria says; According to the law, deadly force is allowed to protect yourself or your property. In this case, the man's two dogs were considered property.
  4. Firstly, my heart goes out to those killed and wounded and their families.  Secondly, I am curious about what explosive was used. I don't know much about explosives. But there is a video of the first explosion that is very clear and the smoke from the explosion is very white. I also noticed that most of the runners right in front of the explosion weren't knocked off their feet from the blast. The ones that fell were probably the ones hit by shrapnel. Anybody got an idea what type of explosive would have these properties?
  5. Yeah Dave there was a case in Georgia involving drug convictions. I don't know if it's settled yet or not.
  6.  He got 18 months' probation in December 1960. He received a presidential pardon. The TBI says he cannot have a gun. And yes it's a felony.  This source tells more of the story.   http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2013/apr/15/whats-a-pardon-worth/?local
  7. Watch the reports, see how it gets spun. I'm seeing it getting blamed on; Tea Party, Militia, White Supremacists, Anti Government groups, etc.
  8. 2 killed and 22 injured. . . My heart goes out to them.
  9. I'm sorry but I wonder how the news media will turn this into a gun issue.
  10. Thought I'd open this up for discussion.    http://www.wsmv.com/story/21981557/man-with-presidential-parson-still-cant-have-guns
  11. wewoapsiak, anything I post on TGO, Facebook and all the other forums I am a member of are for anybody to read. BUT; in my emails, private messages, direct messages, etc. I expect privacy from everyone, especially the government. But you know the gov. has tens of thousands of agents that have access to our private messages and have for many years.  The information highway is used to provide information to the very people we don't want to know it.  Tin foil don't matter.
  12. Again? What is going on?       http://www.wsmv.com/story/21925456/woman-recovering-after-toddler-shot-her
  13. Who decides what is disruptive or distracting?  Not me. As long as a child's behavior is not disruptive or distracting, that's a fine line.
  14. I have to say. . ."What's going on here"? There's been a rash of shootings and accidental discharges in the news for weeks now.  I'm not perfect but if somebody comes over and brings children, my gun's unloaded and put up where it can't be reached by little hands.  Too many people are ignorant of the basic rules of gun safety. And this guy is a deputy sheriff.
  15. SCARY!!! And what to expect from MSNBC.
  16. I just think. . . by not releasing the name and no charges filed that there are "politics" involved here. Ya know related to somebody in power.  A VIP pass.
  17. Good going to the Pizza man!
  18. This article sheds a little more light on the incident.  http://www.hickoryrecord.com/news/article_07e898f8-9d6b-11e2-b629-0019bb30f31a.html Here's a quote from it;   The woman whose car was damaged and the deputy who responded to the residence both said they did not want to press charges, Robbins said. Robbins thought the incident was behind them until a letter arrived from the N.C. Department of Juvenile Justice a week or two later informing them of a discovery hearing about the shooting. Robbins said he and his wife had to answer questions at the discovery hearing about how they raised Sam and what activities interest him. A letter was sent by the Department of Juvenile Justice to the faculty at Sam’s school to inform them of the incident, Robbins said. And it looks like charges were dropped. http://www.wsoctv.com/news/news/local/7-year-old-face-judge-felony-charges-shooting-bb-g/nXDL8/
  19. Apparently the permit lets you shoot inside your apartment.
  20. The boy's father left a comment under the story. The newspaper printed the name of the 7 year old.  Sorry, it's not a firearm but I thought it might fit here.   http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/04/04/3957454/7-year-old-faces-felony-charges.html
  21. I also wondered what the carry permit has to do with it and why the man was not named.
  22. Investigators said the gun owner won't face charges because he has a carry permit. His identity was not released.       http://www.newschannel5.com/story/21890214/shot-fired-into-neighboring-apartment-while-man-cleaning-gun
  23. A bit of info left out on this report.     http://www.newschannel5.com/story/21878139/robber-drops-gun-during-getaway-shoots-himself-in-leg
  24. Thanks DaveTN and KiloFive. I looked on the Tn gov site and it's hard to find a distinct line between agg assault and something more serious. But when I think about the guy sitting in the car with 15 shots fired at him and one hitting his head, if I were him I would want some serious charges against the shooter.
  25. I've heard of garlic Fruit jar. Can't swear to it. My Dad used to spray Kerosene on my pants leg and this does work if you can stand the smell and don't get around an open fire.
