I wouldn't give over $500 for one, and that's if I really wanted one. They can be finicky with mags, and the SKS "D" has the better magazine release when compared to the SKS M.

I've read some good reviews about them. Personally, I've had good luck with Century products, but I don't like the look of the rifle. No bayo lug, no provision for a cleaning rod, and all the tactical junk is a turn off to me. Have you seen the N-PAP or N-PAP underfolders? Better put together, by people in a factory that has been churning out AKs for decades. That's where I'd be putting my monies if I was you. There is no fully american manufactured 5.45. Although Hornady has a 5.45 vmax load, the primed cases come from Russia. Commercial 5.45 is available for around the some price as 7.62, if not just a few cents more/round. It just sucks that this happened (I think it's really over), because 7n6 is such a sweet round. The .16-.17/round price didn't hurt either. Just a bad day for gun owners.

Ford guy here, and I don't like the 6.0! I'd say you'd be better off with the Dodge.
