  1. The whole FFL process is completely new to me. What would you consider a reasonably priced FFL transfer fee to be?

I'll recommend Crews in Athens over on highway 11. He's a good guy to deal with. I'm picking up a transfer from him tomorrow.

If I remember correctly, he charges $35 otd.

  2. There are many flavors of "9mm" but only one 9mm Luger (or 9mm Parabellum, 9x19mm, 9MM NATO or whatever other names it's been called).  You're buying the right bullets.

Pay close attention to the 9x19mm part.  There are also 9x17 (.380 ACP), 9x18mm (9mm Makarov) and others that are longer than 9x19mm (like 9x23mm, or Largo as it's called).  They are not compatible.

    Don't forget 9x18 Ultra :)

OP, my I humbly suggest a Rock Island Tactical 9mm 1911. Great guns.

  3. ok , next question? Did any of your vehicles every kick or jump out or park and roll away without any one in it. Reason I am asking is because back then Ford had a design flaw in their transmissions and they knew it just like GM knew about this issue they tried to cover up except Ford got away with their coverup and their vehicles were killing people too.

Yes! My Uncle had a 1979 F100 SWB with a 302 and a C4. It would continually jump out of park. Pappaws F100 was a 3 on the tree, and the Bronco a 4 speed. No issues on those.
  4. I've looked at them before. The ones that I've handled seemed like a solid AK. I'll give you a list of pros/cons IMO strictly:

    Pros:
Price-Where else would you find a milled AK for $550?
Made in America-some average joe like me put this thing together.
Looks-looks great IMO, and there are a few different wood or plastic stock options

    Cons:
The looks of the rifle are great, but look on the receiver for a giant ass billboard-turns me off
Made in America-foreign parts are a good thing on an AK. Commie CHF barrels are important to me, may not be to you
Misleading marketing-these are not 100% USA made like CAI claims
Neutered gas block, no provision for cleaning rod
  5. So what's the story on those kind of kits?

Like, are they full auto that have been "destroyed" enough so can be imported as parts, or from countries that we don't allow import of whole rifles from, or what?

Yeah, the kits come from former rifles. Of course the receiver has to be torched and non virgin barrels have to be cut up too :(
  6. My original post was not to argue against the banning of anyone. If TGO David or any number of his admin wanted to ban any member who had the letter "E" in their name that would be their decision. I was merely stated that if they are willing, I would be interested in seeing a list of whom was banned and for what reason if appropriate. Also, as a service to the existing community, I think it would be great if a contact method was provided for the banned members if it could be done appropriately.

The banned list is a good idea, IMO.
  7. It's an AKS-762 , but yes I do. I remember when I bought it for about $329 new ! :)
I wish I had bought a Legend back then ....I think there were only 400 of these sent to the USA with the Galil stock.

Doh! That's right. The T56-2 has the little has the little bakelite thing on the folder I think.

I'll give you back your $329 for it :D

    Very nice!
