I think he's been doing a fantastic job. I'm a hard working American that believes in responsible gun rights. Not trolling, just sharing. It seems that most people who were pro Romney didn't see the fallacy in his economic policy. He Is out of touch. All of this anti obama rhetoric will subside when we see that he's been doing a fantastic job a the economy continues to recover and unemployment continues to drop

I think Obama is a moron honestly, but I respect your opinion. I voted for Romney but to be honest I didn't even care for him all that much.
  2. Pictures!! Not very good pictures, but i will work on it.

  3. Got the Mauser last Friday. Mostly matching. The only part that doesn't match is one piece of the bolt. It's got a little pitting on the underside of the receiver, but it's not deep, nor a big deal to me. Also, it has an EXCELLENT bore. I'm not even sure if it has ever even had a round through it. The Mauser action is sooo sweet. I will try to get some pictures up this weekend.

  4. I've pretty much made up my mind on the K98 I think. My buddy picked up RC K98 that was all matching (not electro pencil) for 400 bucks a few years ago. Now if you saw a rifle in that shape and matching I am sure the owner would be asking double what he paid. This makes me want to go ahead and pick up the K98. I just hope the bore is good. I might wait to another one comes around though. I am disappointed in the pictures Widener's posted, I know they are busy but it seems like you could take the time to post clearer pics.

  5. Hey all, I need some help. I am thinking about buying a Mauser. I was thinking about a VZ 24 from aim surplus or a RC K98 from Widener's. I want to use the gun mainly to plink around with. I would someday like to add a nice K98 to my collection, but the rising costs on the K98 make me want to get one now! Any suggestions? The VZ 24 from aim is $289, and the 98 from Widener's is $429. The pictures from Widener's are garbage, and it makes me wonder how good of shape the rifle is in, and it doesn't mention the condition of the bore. Suggestions?

  6. I recently picked up a Century Polish Tantal in 5.45x39. I have to say I love it. I have read online on forums and such that this particular Century build had keyholing problems and what not. I took the chance on one, and it shoots great. I shot 3 different types of ammo today, 70gr Wolf MC FMJ, Monarch(Barnaul) 60gr FMJ, and Tulammo 60gr HP. None of the rounds keyholed. I didn't have the time to go the range, but I went down in the field and set some left over osp board up to shoot at. At roughly 50 yards, I put together a decent 2 inch group while standing up. The sights are little off to the right but my group was still pretty tight. The barrel is non chromed lined, and I do not know the rate of twist, but I think it's 1 in 7 or however you say it. Did a couple of mag dumps too, the only problem was one of the cases bulged and locked the bolt up while doing a little bumpfire, but we got it open by force. All in all, great day with my Polish Tantal, I plan to put a wood stock on it, as I don't care for the wire stock. On a side note, my Tantal falls under the supposed bad serial numbers that keyhole(TTL), but NO KEYHOLING!

  7. I have to say, i ate one of the .50 cent brownies. it was delicious. I saw somebody with a TGO forum hat on. thought about introducing myself, but it was crazy crowded and people probably would not appreciate me stopping in the aisle lol. I was a little sad that i didn't see many Mausers. I was thinking about picking one up, but didn't find one that wasn't over priced by 100 to 200 bucks.

  8. Hey guys do any of you have an idea of where I can find a front sight for a 1960s model Colt Official Police .38 Special? It fell off sometime in the 70s when my great grandafther last shot it. I have been searching online with no luck. I would really like to get one on there so I can hit what I'm aiming at!
