1. If you find any let me know! I've got plenty of m44s and t53s, now I need an M38 as well!
2. I agree. It is much better in my experience than that Winchester White box CRAP
3. WalMart has put a hold on manual ordering of ammunition. Got the email yesterday, and it's from home office. It's an attempt to allow all stores to get the same amount of ammo. If one store is putting in 100 orders a day, and another store (with lazy management) has not put in any orders, both will now receive the same amounts of ammo, at roughly the same time. Prices also jumped yesterday at the Alcoa Walmart. Remington .30-06 is now $21.17, Tula 7.62x39 is now $5.17, Tula .223 is now $5.27, American Eagle .223 is now $8.07, American Eagle Value pack 100rds is now $34.97, and the list goes on. Walmart is not hoarding ammo in the warehouse, rather they are getting it in and shipping it to the stores asap. Some ammo orders are backordered til 2014.
4. Does anybody here know about this place? From what I understand you can hunt hogs here until a certain time? Any info would be good. I might try to go tomorrow if it's open for hunting. I have WMA stamp, so am I ready to go?
5. No sales tax if you order from AIM either!
6. I got mine from SOG for $128 delivered to my door. It's matching except for its Soviet bolt, and it's in good shape. I'll try to post some pics soon!
7. Albania is a good guess. China supposedly gave them to them. Speaking of Albania, and not trying to hijack the thread, but has anyone seen an Albanian July 10th SKS? They are different but I would like to buy one to go along with my Yugo.
8. Classic Arms has them, and for like $299 I think you can get one that has matching serial numbers and in very good shape. Might wanna give them a call.
9. Looks good! Those retain the original Hungarian barrels and receivers right??
10.
I think he's been doing a fantastic job. I'm a hard working American that believes in responsible gun rights. Not trolling, just sharing. It seems that most people who were pro Romney didn't see the fallacy in his economic policy. He Is out of touch. All of this anti obama rhetoric will subside when we see that he's been doing a fantastic job a the economy continues to recover and unemployment continues to drop
I think Obama is a moron honestly, but I respect your opinion. I voted for Romney but to be honest I didn't even care for him all that much.
11. Pictures!! Not very good pictures, but i will work on it. 12. My C&R gets me in trouble...I just bought a German K98 with it actually! But yes, get it!
13. Got the Mauser last Friday. Mostly matching. The only part that doesn't match is one piece of the bolt. It's got a little pitting on the underside of the receiver, but it's not deep, nor a big deal to me. Also, it has an EXCELLENT bore. I'm not even sure if it has ever even had a round through it. The Mauser action is sooo sweet. I will try to get some pictures up this weekend.
14. I'll be there with my sks...looking for a trade
15. It's supposed to be here next week. I will put up some pics when I clean her up.
16. Well guys I made a purchase, here it is and I hope it's a good one: http://wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=100000908&dir=700|701|1381
17. @Jonnin the 1909 is Argentine, correct? I hear they are nice rifles.
18. I've pretty much made up my mind on the K98 I think. My buddy picked up RC K98 that was all matching (not electro pencil) for 400 bucks a few years ago. Now if you saw a rifle in that shape and matching I am sure the owner would be asking double what he paid. This makes me want to go ahead and pick up the K98. I just hope the bore is good. I might wait to another one comes around though. I am disappointed in the pictures Widener's posted, I know they are busy but it seems like you could take the time to post clearer pics.
19. Hey all, I need some help. I am thinking about buying a Mauser. I was thinking about a VZ 24 from aim surplus or a RC K98 from Widener's. I want to use the gun mainly to plink around with. I would someday like to add a nice K98 to my collection, but the rising costs on the K98 make me want to get one now! Any suggestions? The VZ 24 from aim is $289, and the 98 from Widener's is $429. The pictures from Widener's are garbage, and it makes me wonder how good of shape the rifle is in, and it doesn't mention the condition of the bore. Suggestions? http://wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=100000874&dir=700|701|1381 http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?groupid=637&name=Czechoslavakian+vz.+24+8mm+Mauser+Rifle
20. welcome to the forum, TN FAL. also, welcome to TN, friend!
21. I wish mine had the chrome lined barrel, but it doesn't and I am ok with that. Anybody know where I could pick up a cheap wooden buttstock?
