An ak in 5.45 has less recoil IMO than an ar. The muzzle brake does a good job.

Yes. The T53s are Chinese. I've bought a lot of them, and they have all been great shooters. I've bought most of mine from SOG. I got handpick option on all of them because SOG actually looks at their inventory before they send it out the door. I am very happy with my T53s. I'd say get one while they're still available!

Can't you get a gas plug or something so you can run some heavier bullets? My buddy has a SA Garand and it eats EVERYTHING! Korean, Greek, new production Winchester, Remington, Golden Bear (brass plated steel case), and even the Wolf M.C. steel case!   The M1 is America's rifle.
