This is not my first post here, but I have not posted much. I have been lurking for a while now and thought I would finally introduce myself. I am not new to guns or shooting but I did get away from them for a while. I think I got back into them when I was strolling around a pawn shop one day and saw a HI Point pistol in the gun counter. I didn't buy it, but it did peak my interest again. I went to G&L in Greenbriar and asked them about them. The guy did not bash them and showed me one. I figured for a buck fifty "why not?", so I bought it. My wife said she did not like how heavy it was and that it kicked too much. She said she would be more comfortable with a shotgun for HD as she was more comfortable shooting them. Well far be it from me to deny my wife so I bought a short barrel shotty for the house. Then one day she came home from work talking about a HCP and that she wanted one and asked if I would be interested in getting mine to. I tried not to giggle like a school girl as I explained that she would need a pistol, and suggested that we head to G&L agian. She agreed and off we went. We came home with a new Bersa .380. We took our class together on the 24th of this month. While, once again, at G&L getting a little range time she caught me eying a S&W M&P9c. She mentioned that it looked like a much nicer gun than, (what she refers to as) "the heavy one", and that it would be much better to carry. Well far be it from me to argue with my wife, so I rented one and took it down stairs. I put 2 mags through it then let her shoot it. She told me again how much nicer it was than the Hi Point. I thought to myself, better not upset her, so I went upstairs and bought one. I checked the mail today and our cards were in the mail. So that is where we stand. I would also like to say thanks for such a great place. There is a lot of useful info here and a whole lot of good stuff to read.
