  1. Welcome! My wife is getting ready to take her HCP class. She has found my J frame to be uncomfortable to shoot long term, but she likes the Ruger SP 101 because it is a little heftier and handles recoil better. Just a thought.
  2. I know you hate to spend the money for an attorney, but you very much need to get a legal opinion on your options. Hold on to your relationship with your son, and do not speak ill of his mother to him. Despite your pain and frustration, don't put him in the position of being the recipient of comments about his mother (no matter how true they might be) or his feeling that he must choose one of you over the other. Individualize and strengthen the relationship between the two of you, no matter where he ends up in school. I am very sorry for your situation.
  3. I have seen it and read some of his stuff. What value may we learn from this gentleman? 1. Think carefully about our relationships with other persons. 2. Think carefully about our words and deeds. 3. The only - ONLY - moment of which we are assured is right now; use that moment wisely. 4. People are more important than things. 5. The meaning of life has to do with what we invest in others rather than ourselves.
  4. Exactly. If used as a solvent, it is great. To use nothing but WD-40 is not the best because of its solvency.
  5. Worst race I non-watched in a long time . . .
  6. News this morning reported that O was asked to skip the visit as the Defense Dept. saw this as a political event, which they do not allow, as opposed to a visit by a sitting senator.
  7. Hooters has boobs, but their wings suck
  8. The solvent properties of WD-40 render it useless as a firearm protectant.
  9. Based on what I have seen here, no way I'm gonna watch this video. Based on what I have seen here, these people need my services . . . but I don't think I want to meet them!
  10. I own a Smith & Wesson Model 18 in .22 Long Rifle. I love this gun, especially if you put large grips on it. Have used it to teach my wife how to shoot.
  11. XX2 I also need a
  12. Interesting theological statement. If I do something sinful, it may not be a sin because I am not caught. Hmmm . . .
  13. Be very gentle if you use the steel wool.
  14. Be VERY careful of a Dremel tool. I polished my 686 last weekend using some metal polish and it did a good job with the few rust spots.
  15. What WMAs have you hunted on in Mid TN?

  20. I badly want to get back into deer hunting this fall. I have NO idea where to go. I have no desire to go back on a Wildlife Management Area. Last time I went, some dumb ass cut down on me with his 30.06. Is there anyone out there who will allow me to hunt on their land or can I throw in on a land lease? i would greatly appreciate some help to getting back into deer hunting. Been a long time since I have had some venison.

  22. Thus, the question is whether there is a JHP produced by anyone that is not +P . . .
  23. Who can blame him? LOL MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- A 56-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski told police he felt he had a right to shoot his mower. Keith Walendowski has been charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed. According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski says he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police: "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want." A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She says he was intoxicated. Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted. A call to Walendowski's home went unanswered
