  1. I don't recall Jessie seeing the plant ... I do remember Walt packing it up with all the other evidence to dispose of after blowing up Gus. I could be wrong though, maybe Jessie did see it. Kind of funny that the little tag with the name of the plant was left in the pot, but I think that was really just done as a cinematic device to let the audience know that the plant was indeed the poison that was used on the kid.
  2. I was wondering this too ... I was kinda shocked when they caught him completely red handed ... I figured they would have to wait outside the vault and catch him coming out. Gomey was GREAT in that scene though.
  3. I agree with this but Walt does have a little time before Jesse figures it out maybe? Remember Jesse told Mike "see ya around" when Mike was "retiring" and Mike explained that he was going away and would not be around. Of course it can always show up on the news and Jesse see it.
  4. I just read an article on fox's website (45 min ago) that stated two full bullets were removed from patients, rest was ricochets. These news agencies can print whatever they want, whenever they want, so who knows if we'll ever know exactly. (we probably won't).
  5. The article I scanned over stated that he had been tested several times over the years, and showed up clean every time.
  6. I really like the look of that little pistol. I'm happy with my G26 for now for carry, but future tense I may have to look into one of these. Looks like a really well built / designed firearm. Congrats on the purchase!
  7. Yeah I just finished the newest episode ... wow ...
  8. Looks good ... I just purchased my first stripped lower (spikes) so I will be taking the plunge soon myself. I'm still reading and learning about the assembly process and parts selection so I can make a more informed decision when I buy the rest of my parts / tools. I've never built an AR and I don't own one so this is going to be a great learning opportunity for me. (I'm on the fence about getting a stripped upper vs. complete upper, but I have some time to decide). Congrats on your build so far!!! Its gonna be a good one!
  9. You know I think I knew that and just forgot ... haha. I recall some discussion on this in another thread a while back now that you mention it. Thanks for the info.
  10. This is my situation. I'm in a profession where I can't carry according to current law, and changing employers won't help. (I teach). Its not like I have a choice, I can't go get a new job that's more carry friendly unless I change professions. I can't even leave the gun in my car because I park on campus. (I don't like leaving a weapon in my car anyway even if it was legal at school). So I carry when I can, (at the grocery store, walmart, dinner, etc ...), and leave it at home when I go to work. I don't like it, but until the law changes, it is what it is.

    LCR 357 Magnum

The LCR .357 is on my list of guns to own someday (hopefully sooner rather than later) ... I rented the .38 spl version one day and as soon as I learned to control the trigger it put shots right where they were supposed to go. Its a sweet weapon.
  12. I agree. You have to watch your surroundings before it gets to this point. I am in this situation occasionally loading gear into my car at night, and I always feel vulnerable. However, for me to have any chance at defense I try to watch for anything happening and see it coming before the SHTF. And again, there's no guarantee that this will avoid the situation. If the attackers were sitting in a car 2-3 blocks away watching, and waiting for the perfect window of opportunity, then they could likely get the jump on a victim. Once I commit myself to getting into my car to drive off, I don't dilly dally. Take a last look around, jump in, and drive off.

    Flash Mobs

    ROFLMAO that was good.
  14. I've always thought this would be true, but I've never had the pleasure of shooting a 1911 in 9mm. Its one of those guns though that I most definitely plan to own in the future. (I own 3 1911's in .45, and love them).
  15. I hardly ever see this on the shelves any more in Chattanooga. Shooter's Depot here used to carry it and the last 4 or 5 times I went in there they didn't have it. I never see it at Sportsman's Warehouse, although they have a spot for it on the shelf. I have found the 9mm Zombie-Max a few places that is the same ammo AFAIK. My point is I think its kinda hard to come by right now.
  16. This is awesome! Love me some 1911's ... and I'm gonna enjoy shooting them even more once I start reloading so I can bring down the price per shot.
  17. Grats!!! I told myself I would get into reloading before the end of this year ... Once I finish up this summer class I'm taking (in the next few weeks) I am going to take the plunge. I've already been saving up my 9mm and .45 brass (and a few other calibers as I have come across them shooting with friends who did not want their brass). I'll say thanks in advance to everyone on the board. Such a wealth of information here and I've already learned a lot just reading up on everything you guys post. Now I'm getting excited about it too LOL ... I better get back to my school work before I get any more side tracked on this topic.
  18. Well I can certainly see why people go to the movies, it is a different experience than home viewing. Whether its better or worse than home viewing depends on how you rank the theater experience vs. your home setup. That being said, for all the reasons you listed, I waaaayyyyyyy prefer to watch at home. I go out to perhaps one movie per year (or even less).
  19. I think pfries just made a typo, pretty sure he's talking about the LC9. Looks like an LC9 in his photo (from the sights and the safety, both would be absent on the LCP).
  20. As far as point 1), this news report I watched/read states that the law in Colorado prohibit carry at any movie theater in the state. http://www.wdef.com/news/story/Colorado-Shootings-Bring-Gun-Laws-To-Light/yTIv7RlA8EuUajW86rBbEA.cspx
  21. I just saw this information on the news as well. They were interviewing an emergency doctor at the hospital.
  22. I never had issues getting the mag into my LCP. I did have issues with getting the first round chambered that you mentioned. As many others said, just let the slide slam forward, problem solved. I didn't think about getting a hogue grip. I'm going to give one of these a try I think.
  23. When I took my HCP course our instructor made sure to make this point. He told us about a different incident where someone tried to catch a falling gun and shot himself in the leg. He also told us where he was at a training session/conference of some sort and got to throw a glock at a wall repeatedly just to see if it would go off (it was loaded with just a primer - not a loaded gun). Just let it hit the ground.
  24. I've been thinking about getting one of these ... does look like it would be good fun and good practice.
  25. Pretty sure this is the link you want here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/store/category/1-benefactor-subscriptions/
