1. I have had really good performance with 55 gr. bullets using 23 gr. of W748 and CCI magnum small rifle primers. (I only use magnums as I like the thicker cup in a gas operated application)
2. Hornady ultrasonic.
3. +1 M1A
4. I would love to see a reload formula for that.
5. 100 yards with a RRA 6.8 coyote upper.
6. .22lr 9mm .40 10mm .44 .45acp
7. +1 on the Marlin 1894. Feeding is smooth, side ejection is nice, and the millwork seems to be very high quality. I have actually cut myself cleaning as the edges are so crisp the can be sharp when you disassemble. It is also nice that you can feed it .38 special to help keep plinking / target practice costs down.
8. I have the Hornady sonic unit also and love it. If you get one I would suggest using distilled water
9. .22lr 9mm 10mm .38spl .357mag .40 .44 .45acp 5.56mm 6.8spc 7.62x39 7.62x54r 12gauge
10. +1 on the Hornady Lock - N - Load
11. The difference is that 5.56x45 (military spec) does not comfort to SAAMI pressure specifications. Also of note is that often times 5.56x45 will have a longer throat in the chamber to accommodate longer heavy bullets. As noted above .223 is just fine in 5.56x45 and 5.56x45 is usually just fine in Wylde.
12. The recipe I stated above was used for an 91/30. Bore condition was less than perfect, but this loading did produce 4 inch groups out of this rifle at 100 yards w/ iron sights. Something to note is that I had the rifle locked down in a stand to remove me from the equation. I believe with this particular rifle it was the bore and a bad crown. I did notice a huge improvement over surplus.
13. I have loaded this caliber in the past. Norma Brass Nosler ballistic tip 150gr 48grs. H4895
14. Being as I just moved from the PRK I'm looking forward to getting a Taurus Judge.
15. +1 on a 10/22
16. Nice rifle.
17. Hey everyone, wanted to introduce myself. Just moved to the Nashville area from The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia. Lived in Memphis for 6 years before joining the Marines and I have to say it is good to be back in TN.
