  1. I was just about to ask my wife what in the world she had done to the iPad, then I came across this post...probably saved me an ass chewin. I guess I'm a creature of habit because I never like change, which is why I hate getting new phones and computers and having to figure out their newfangled layout. That being said, I always come around eventually and accept whatever change as my new "normal". And that's usually when it changes again lol. I do like the modern "clean" look of this layout TGO David, and I'm sure I'll get used to it. I certainly do appreciate all the effort you put into keeping the site up to date and running smooth, by far my favorite site on the interwebs.
  2. For that price I'm tempted to get one and throw a conversion barrel in it. At that point it's essentially a 19 that could be switched back to .40 if ever needed.
  3. Oh nice, lucky indeed! I don't like it at all and it's a pain to go through the steps to turn it off every time you shift into drive.
  4. I've been researching the same for my 1500 Hemi and have seen that some folks are not liking their muffler mod/swaps as much when the MDS engages. Supposedly it has a weird tone to it with some of the aftermarkets to include some of the magnaflow and flow master. Just an FYI worth investigating before pulling the trigger.
  5. What's the worst that could happen....you end up quickly evacuating that big Thanksgiving meal and don't gain a bunch of weight. At least that's how I always look at the risk of a stomach virus. HBH is delicious, I would risk it all day long and twice on Thanksgiving.
  6. AR500armor.com usually has a pretty good sale every Black Friday. Usually everything 20% off sometimes more.
  7. I'm in.
  8. I'd say for at least half the country it's just another day going back to work to pay the bills. The difference today is we can feel extra refreshed after showering in liberal tears.
  9. That is a great looking gun! 45-70 is one of my "someday I need to get one" cartridges, and that gun looks like a worthy vessel.
  10. You just described the VA to a T.
  11. Welcome!
  12. Welcome.
  13. I second this. It's worth a trip.
  14. Nice group, I would hate to get thwacked by one of those! Ive run some 170grn Sako subs in the past and they were horrible, we were not comfortable using them past 75m at light bulb sized targets. We got ahold of some 200grn Lapua and they were significantly better, usually acceptable to 150m with a 5-6mph full value. I think you guys are on to something with the super heavys. What kind of energy do you think you are getting off that at 100yrds?
  15. My thoughts exactly!
  16. If for concealed carry then I would suggest the 19. If not for concealed I would go with the 17 for many of the reasons mentioned above. If for competition I would go straight to a 34. If I was to do it all again I would have a 19 for daily carry and a 34 for everything else. Instead I went the route of tricking out my 17. If I could only choose one it would be a 19.
  17. Was wondering if anyone here has any first hand experience with the S&W Governor? I have a Rossi Circuit Judge that is essentially a carbine version of a Taurus Judge and I really like it's cartridge versatility. I've been meaning to add a double action revolver (handgun) to the stable and I like that the Governor eats calibers I already stock. That being said, sometimes things created to fit multiple rolls don't always fit any of them well......So I'd appreciate any relevant feedback anyone has.
  18. Wow.......that's a great looking knife. Thanks for letting us look and drool. Truly a functional piece of art.
  19. On the Ranger station broadcast "net call, net call......another tourist has afforded us the opportunity for tender Bison burgers tonight, they taste great so don't be late! Tight green shorts are optional"
  20. As others have stated more eloquently than I, thank you for your hard work and dedication keeping this thing going. Good day or bad I always enjoy hopping on TGO at the end of it. I know in the past I've taken for granted the amount of effort required to keep this behemoth we all love afloat. In the future I will try to envision you chained to a computer somewhere feverishly writing code and I'll appreciate it all the more. I am really digging the new format as well.
  21. They are great for storage or converting for living. many of our guys oversees live in conex's that have been converted to "man cans". they are super easy to fix and or customize with basic welding skills. I've put two side by side before by cutting the center walls out, put up some center supports, and seam welded all the way around. Finished it out in wood and wired it for lights, outlets, and a Chigo AC unit. Made a nice sized room. The trick would be getting them delivered to some of the middle of nowhere locations guys would want them. As long as you get it on some decent footing it should handle the weight of any tractor you can fit in it. If using for remote storage (not near you and not monitored) be sure to get one with with a lock assembly protected by a box/cage. It will still only take someone a minute or two with an angle grinder but will be difficult to access with bolt cutters or the like.
  22. Be careful with that mentality. If your workplace is anything like mine you will be labeled "hard to work with" for expecting others to do/know their jobs. I'm not saying you are wrong, I feel the same way, just expect that if you voice your honest opinion when asked you'll not make any friends. I think the self employed realm will be my path as well.
  23. Looks badass, definitely doesn't take away from the look of the Damascus.
