I've looked at a couple of website but man do they vary! I've seen everything from $10,500 - $22,000 and I made sure I entered the right info each time. The "little black book" that the used car manager carries is usually the best judge of what a vehicle is really worth.

I'm not trying to confuse this with the WTS forums but I want to make sure what a fair price for my truck is. I'm considering selling it or trading it in and don't want to get shafted. Brief overview is a 2006 F150 Supercrew with 15K miles. PM me and I'll give you more of the pertinent details. Thanks! Jay

I received my invite about a week ago. Since I cancelled my home phone line a couple of months back, I have it ring my phone, my wife's phone, and my daughter's phone. (That seems to calm my mother down.) I'll be giving that number to the schools when we register the kids this week. That way they should be able to reach me or the wife with one call. (Daughter will have hers off at school.) Pretty neat though.....

I need to call him tomorrow! My order was supposed to be made in early September and I was waiting patiently. I hope he is OK but I want to make sure there is a place to send the holster back to if something is not right. I really wanted his Thunderbird Defender because it is IWB/OWB and tuckable! I like the pics at HBE Leatherworks and have heard great things about his stuff. Anyone have a reccomendation for a CZ75 PCR holster? (I have a MTAC for my XD and love it but they don't have the form for the PCR.)

Oops! Just saw the other Huey's thread. Mod's, Please consolidate this to the existing thread. Jay

I sent this letter to Huey's tonight. I hated to hear that they posted because I love their burgers. I would encourage everyone, especially in the Memphis area, to take the chance to "contact" them on their website also. www.hueyburger.com I was disappointed to hear that your restaurant has chosen to ban firearms in light of the new Tennessee law that became effective on July 14th. As a 40 year old, professional, Christian, married, father of three that does not even have as much as a speeding ticket on my record, I will miss taking my family and joining my frieds at Huey's for one of your delicious hamburgers. I have had my handgun carry permit for over 6 years and have never had to go as far as show my weapon. (I hope I never do.) However, I feel your decision blatantly says that my patronage is not welcome. If you were to investigate further than the media would have you believe, you will find that the overwhelming majority of HCP holders are very much like me and not the "cowboys" at the OK Corral that the news media seems to sensationalize. Please think about the incident that happened recently near your location on Poplar Avenue. Do you think the "alleged" robbers will think twice about your "no guns" sign? Who are you really keeping away from your establishment. Your delicious burgers will be sorely missed by us.

What about Huey's on Poplar? I played competitive baseball with the manager of that location back in the day. I could call him to see if they are posting. Personally, I couldn't be there until 6:00 but, if Steve, the manager, says they're not posting, I could try to get him to hold an area open for us. -
I fought mine quite a bit at first but you get used to it. I can actually do it now without reading the instructions!

I'm lost??? What is $129 now that was $99?

My 11 year old has begun to learn the value of cutting yards. My parents started paying him $20 to cut theirs and my son is quickly learning that work = money. Unfortunately, he wants to run and spend it as fast as he can and hasn't grasped the saving aspect yet. He loves to go shooting and begs me to take him to the shooting range all the time. (He even shoots my XD45C!) I am contemplating putting a deal before him that will force him to save for something that he really wants and work for it. If he will save/earn the money for a youth 20 gauge shotgun, I will buy it for him and it will be his forever. (Of course, I'll keep it locked away until we go shooting / he is old enough to keep it.) This will teach him to save for what he really wants and may even encourage him to seek out other revenue generating opportunities. I'm trying to instill the work ethic my father taught me. Few things in life will take you further and earn you more respect than a great work ethic. What youth sized 20 gauge would you recommend I set his sights on?

What Can the Governor Do with That Veto Paper?
jay1313g replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The Governor just went on the national news to talk about HB0962!!!! He said he vetoed it because HexHead said he would!!! (Sorry. Couldn't let the opportunity get past me.) Smile HexHead!!! The sun will come out tomorrow and we'll all be grinning when this is over with. -
Governor Phil Bredesen Vetoes HB0962 (Restaurant Carry Bill)
jay1313g replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've never really followed a bill along the way until the past year. HB0962 got me started and I'm not accustomed to all the "back room" politics that happen to get these things done. The whole magic trick that Kent Williams pulled has jaded me in to being pessimistic at times. Patience, grasshopper..... patience.... -

I e-mailed Rep. Ron Lollar and Sen. Mark Norris on Friday and haven't received a response. I think they were both co-sponsors of the bill. -
That's great! I told the wife that I was going to Range USA on Memorial day and she said she wanted to go too. Next thing I know, she's shot the 250 rounds of 9mm I bought to break in "my" new CZ. (It may be "her" new CZ now.) Be careful!!!!

It looks like tomorrow is all subcommittee work. From the way I see it, we won't hear anything until at least Wednesday. -

I leave around 6 a.m. everyday to head to work. The furthest nook and cranny from Nashville is what, 3 1/2 hours? Just trying to get the biggest bank for my buck on the tax dollars. We pay our representatives/senators to help govern us and spend OUR money wisely. I think 10 a.m. start on Mondays and 2 p.m. ending on Fridays would be sufficient personally. -

Does the House really not start until 3:00 today? I need to get one of those jobs! Cut out on Thursday to miss Friday and come back in on Monday at 3:00??? I'm sure they're busy doing plenty of other things but, WOW. -
Come on Punisher!!!!! There's only been a few brutal murders in Overton Park. Why would anyone need a gun there? (Heavy dose of sarcasm intended.)

I don't know about the P07 but I recently purchased the CZ 75D PCR and love it. Once you wrap your fingers around the grip, it's over with. It'll be coming home with you! Somewhat limited on holster and parts but extremely accurate and reliable.

Reminds me of the joke about "Frayser bull riding" (Memphis). That's when you call out your wife's sister's name in the heat of passion!

Ordered a K & D today... Wait....
jay1313g replied to jay1313g's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
He seemed fine when I spoke to him. He answered the phone when I called to place my order. I said something about "the big man" answering the phone and he said something humorous back. I told him that I wanted to order one of his holsters and he said "Great, I'm going to hand the phone over to Cindy and she'll take the order. Nice to talk to you." I've seen a lot of people gripe about the wait but, hey, I just try to forget I ordered it and it'll show up sometime in the fall and surprise me! It took me almost 3 months just to find the CZ PCR that I ordered the holster for. I'm a patient person. (Actually, I'm not very patient, I'm just too darn busy to worry about one thing.) Sorry that happened to you though.
