1.   So true, never met or dealt with a benefactor from the site that I thought wasn't trust worthy.
2.
Counting the days also for the L7 Lancers. Last I heard, this April is the release month. Lancer has got to be on Magpul's "radar screen".
Yea, can't wait the L7s will fill a huge gap between the KAC mags and the Pmag LRs.
3. I prefer the Lancer L5 plastic with metal feed lips and base plates and I'm really looking forward to the L7 (7.62mm mag). I also have a bunch of pmags that I keep loaded up, no complaints but I have had more pmags break on me than any other mag. That said I know my plastic mags will not endure time very well - I keep a sh*t ton of HK metal mags and USGIs for the long haul.
4. Mine has been complete for a while now and I can't say enough good stuff about it. Mine is a Noveske 8.2" barreled sbr. My only complaint is that I still don't have a reloading setup. Completely my own dang fault, just so many choices. Gotta happen soon though I can't afford the factory stuff.

Walther PPK

+1, also a Walther PPK owner here and I will say that they are accurate and with their size you have no reason to not carry.
6. I'm a huge fan of the keymod rails. I've got three setups now with the keymods, with the direction things are headed now it will make the future of 1913 picatinny rails up front completely different.  BCM and several others are now coming out with keymod gunfighter vertical grips and other front end attachments that go on direct as a keymod.  No more 1913 rail to add weight where it's non essential.
7. Well the first one is on GB now - http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=386016836
8.   Completely agree, I think it was a huge market miss but heck I'll probably pick one up for summer carry when I head to the beach if they turn out okay. Just for sh*ts and giggles.
9. Nice, I'll be ordering one today. Thanks for the heads up.
10.
Are any barrel vises sold around Nashville area or is it back to the web ? http://www.lowes.com/pd_209898-52800-BV-NVJ_?PL=1&productId=3070247
I like Dolomite use leather to wrap my parts for the vise. I like those vise jaw pads though and will be picking a set up.
11. I've been thinking about adding one to my stable - looks good.
12. If you were closer to AL I would give you one.  We had a client give us one and my FIL has at his house under an awning and we were just talking last month about giving it away.  Its a big 6 or 8 person tub.
13. That is awesome - Chuck is a real man!
14. Good one - Merry Christmas, be safe.
15.
I like the concept of the USC but I'd have to do some converting to make it a UMP, single stack mag with a 16" barrel? Blasphemy...
Exactly, it's actually one of my future projects. We had a couple on a deployment and I became a big fan.
16.
I see the LE6920MP for $1199, the basic 6920 for $1099 and a used trade in with the carry handle for $899. This all on page 33 of the CDNN online catalog. Where is this deal you speak of?
CDNN sends out flyers about twice a week. It came out on Dec 6th, also had the HK USC for $1299 - you have to call in to get the deal: 1-800-588-9500. They have greet deals on mags etc that aren't advertised except in those emails - I would highly recommend signing up. The sign up is on there site, on the left near the bottom.
17. Personally I would still stick with the M&P - even with the ammo and extras. Wolf steel case is relatively cheap and can be found with relative ease now, Midway had some in last month 500rds for $179.  The mags are only $10 a piece if not less also at Midway - Pmags for $8.99 now.   CS with S&W is dependable - from all accounts since Bushmaster moved to Freedom Group... not so much.   Personally though if I were buying one right now CDNN has Colt 6920s for $949 with $6 shipping, hard to beat that.
18. Those are two very nice finds - congrats, you did well.
19. Early years in college at the apt place I lived in I was sitting on the couch with the GF and right in front of my feet appeared a hole.  A dumb azz the apt below was sitting on his couch and was jackin with his pistol - pretty much the same story "He didn't know/think it was loaded".     Put a nice hole in his ceiling, my ceiling and into the roofing. Check, recheck then verify it's clear.
20.
Those pictured above aren't the Gen 2? The link I took the picture from said they were Gen 2 - Mod 2. What do the Gen 2's look like?
Don't confuse the "pin type" with the side locking bars. Those are the Gen 2s the original 1st gen style are solid and have a larger profile. The pins have been updated to be stronger that is the difference other than gen style change. The mod was for FA and suppressed weapons to decrease the wear the pins were causing in FA fire on the receiver holes.
21. Hey Paul - yes, that's them. I have an extra set if you don't find any locally.
22. These the ones you're wanting?
23.
I hope ya enjoy it man. Machining is in my blood, even though I didn't choose it as a career path as my dad.
Greatly appreciated my friend, many thanks. You definitely have it in your blood, it's a fine piece.
24. Received my Secret Santa package today. I grabbed it and opened it up while I was waiting to pick my daughter up from school since I was early in line. I was blown away, when I opened it up there was a pair of mossy oak merino socks that are the same ones I wear. There was also a set of Magpul FDE PTS MBUS in there but where it got really good was in reading the letter SS wrote. SS had also placed a bubble wrap envelope in the box and after reading the letter I opened it up. I'll be damn it was a handmade deer antler pen; it's probably the coolest damn gift I could get. Kudos on this one KKing, you're one awesome dude and that is some fabulous work. I carry a montblanc signature pen usually in my bag and it just got replaced. Can't say enough good stuff about it but I was so elated when I saw it I took a picture and shared it with my dad and wife, here it is. Merry Christmas everyone and thanks again KKing!
25. Near Ardmore, TN right on the TN/AL line.   Gotcha, didn't know if there was a new source or method. I guess I need to hit up the wife's cousin, he has a good size performance tire and rim shop.  I guess I'll start collecting it up.
