DIY: How to do a mirror polished perfect convex edge for $20
Geno replied to Spots's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
OUTSTANDING !!! Thanks Spots -
Glock 35 gen 3 is the only glock I have ever owned. Love it and I will get a 17L if possible in future. Would also like the G19 and a glock in .45. I recall saying I will never have a Glock ... :)

Looks like a great tool!

I have the govt model and absolutely love it. 70 series slide is a must for me. I had a nice colt 1976 commander and I like this ruger sr1911 at least as much if not better. If I ever have problems with the 6 or 7 mim parts I will upgrade but mine so far is fine and I haven't heard of function problems due to that. I will not consider selling or trading this one...like I did the colt. Check out the details that are standard on it... ruger even did a semi melt job on it, no sharp edges like most others ( even colts ). IMHO it is a best buy in a very competitive 1911 market.

I bought the Rat1 and it was the best bang for the buck I have ever had! I love it and it has become my EDC. I also edc a bk14 or an Esee Izula but if the shtf I bet instinct would have me reaching for my Rat1. I plan to get several more rat1's and store them in the safe. BTW they really do a fine job on the edge, mine would shave easily right out of the box.

Very nice! I have the ruger & love it. I had a colt and I honestly like the ruger better.

Black Dog Concealment Guard Dog OWB holster
Geno replied to daddyo's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I have the same holster for my 1911. Comfortable and conceals very well for a large handgun. -
According to M1911.ORG : http://ezine.m1911.o...thread.php?t=91 Ruger SR1911 MIM Parts Count The sear, disconnector, hammer, slide stop, safety, grip safety, mainspring housing, front sight and rear sight are MIM. Accuracy is much better than I can use. Fits any 1911 Government holster

I have had a Springer, Colt 70 Series Combat Commander, and now a Ruger. I sure do like the 70 Series Ruger!

Everyone needs a shotgun.

We have a P238 SAS and love it. Your P938 looks great and the holster is outstanding. I may have to get one now! Sigs are hard to beat... we love our SP2022 as well and it is likely the best deal of the year.

Always good to hear reports like this that are contrary to so much bad public opinion. If it turns out to be consistent as your first trial just think of what a bargain you got !

My favorite SD gun is my old Blunderbuss. Never had to use it but if I did I imagine I would get first shot what with the distraction and all- you know, laughing, or bug-eyed disbelief, or hell- with a bore size like that they might even think you are fixin' to let go a light, anti-turd scratch-off missile and run! First shot can make all the difference you know and a little extra powder with a double load of Post Grape Nuts and they'd be pickin' that grain out from under their eyelids for long enough I could reload. Dry Grape-Nuts have gotta hurt real BAD and the incident would likely go well in court since you'd be usin' non-lethal but skin & eyes-burnt-to-hell ammo. I heard Colt is gonna make a new one in 2013 that is rated for roofing nails so it will be a serious I-mean-to-get-em gun. First run might be a little buggy................................................... I reckon Glocks would be ok too.

I agree... And that is a nice Monson there Fox.

A Marine and his RIFLE are a deadly combo... that said and proven I am an old school jar head and like that the Colt 1911 is being revisited. If I were active today I would personally prefer the Colt 1911 with my trusty old M-14 battle rifle.... Just use what you have well... only hits count. SEMPER FI

I am 61 yoa- after the 70's I got into the pistol craze and I am finding myself drawn back to revolvers. My wife recently got a very tight S&W 28-2 Highway Patrolman that looks like it has been a safe queen and I picked up a nice Dan Wesson 15-2 that came with 2.5", 4", and 8" barrels. I feel like a kid again Life is good with wheelguns.
