St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville
partypilot1 replied to Westwindmike's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
You can bet on all hospitals being a weapons free area, not only because of the narcs but quite simply, it's against their mission. They see enough of the gun and knife club on friday and saturday night in the E.D. If a problem develops inside you can bet on someone getting a shot of lights out medicine -
Well now that you own one Fred, I guess we can go ahead and tell you that shotgun is one word. ;-) haha, just joking, congrats. I'm a Benelli man too SBEII

It is legal, but not advised, to kill an animal presumed to cause you serous bodily harm or death as long as you are not in the commission of a crime.......I believe this can be assumed......

Not to sound like a monday morning quarterback but it sounds like beating the trusted family dog was the most logical choice which yielded the proper result instead of discharging a projectile at nearly the speed of sound around a fast moving target attached to your child... I would tell your wife she exercised good judgement in a high stress situation...

I Love the Sigs too!

I didn't see anyone in Alaska, at least in bear country, with just a Glock. I strongly recommend to anyone (that I would want to see again) heading out into backcountry Alaska to take at least one 12 gauge loaded with slug-buckshot-slug (454 casull will do too). A 10mm Glock with good shot placement might be good enough for a black bear but a charging brown or grizzly you need more power and spread.

I know of a great firing range in the middle east

Illegal to sell lemon juice in liquor stores?
partypilot1 replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Anyone under the age of 21 has absolutely no reason to be anywhere near a liquor store... The proof?....There is not a thing in there that he is of age to purchase. -
Yea, there is tons of accidents were innocent bystanders have been shot Typically involving drive-by shootings (lots of lead and lots of misses)

I enjoy hunting the old way too but I maintain my composure like a proper gentleman.

My first was the Ithaca 37, on my thirteenth b-day. Then I acquired the Remington 1100 I used growing up for dove hunting. Last but not least, my Benelli Super Black Eagle II, which is a worry free shotgun which handled the wet conditions of Alaska without rust, wear, or malfunction.

The ammunition shortage is a sure sign that if things get much worse, guns would render themselves useless without a reloader.... If you do want to stock up anyway, I would buy Sig, Sig, Sig

My soon to be brother in-law has a Remington 7mm thats NIB and he would like help from me to sell it or help him trade it for a handgun, how should I help him out? I told him to just go to a gun shop and he did but they wouldn't give him a fair trade because handguns have been selling good and long guns have been slow. Is there a shop around Nashville that's fair or a trading post which yields fair results? Any suggestions would be helpful, I've never sold guns, I just buy them.

I would check to make sure that this isn't what you are talking about Board for Licensing Contractors - Home Improvement Licensing Requirements

Anyone heading out to the back 40 Outreach this year for opening day dove? A buddy of mine last year had a good hunt there, just wondering if the same could be expected. Who knows, sometimes the hunt is good north Tennessee, other years it's great to the south. Any leads? I got my ears on...

I got a Sig P229 and love it! It's the kinda love that increases over time.

I found news channel 5 to be gun friendly. They report if someone has a hcp in a defensive shooting or if a hcp could have changed things. I only watch channel 5 now

2000 rounds? Sounds like you are headed for Moyock, North Carolina

I see reasons for both but 99% of the time, here in Nashville, it's better for me to stay concealed. I wouldn't want to get pulled into something and HAVE to use the weapon, only because I was OC. FOR ME--that weapon is a tool used to aid my "retreat to safety" when my life is in danger, nothing more. I don't want to think of all the "what if's" so I don't. If that weapon is being pulled then I am in imminent danger of losing my life or limb. I think the police here in Nashville do a good job with what they got and I rely on them to fight the crime. If a bank was being robbed and I didn't feel like my life, or anyone else's, was in jeopardy then I wouldn't get involved. I'm not scared of the bullets, I'm scared of the lawyers that may follow.

Amen, db99wj ! I am a Christian and I believe in protection of others, especially those who can't protect themselves. I find it my duty to help those who truly need it, I believe this man can make my job much harder. -
