  1. This is a Facebook post from Missouri Senator Brian Nieves. Looks like this, or any other anti-gun legislation, has absolutely no chance at even getting a vote in Missouri.

"To all my 2nd Amendment supporting friends, Let me make this Perfectly Abundantly Clear... The Dems in BOTH the Missouri House & Senate have, and will likely continue, to file Anti-Gun Legislation. Here's the Good News - I am the chairman of the committee in the senate to which ALL gun bills are sent!! ALL Gun Bills, good or bad, must go through me!! I assure you, I promise you, all these Anti- Gun Bills are dead, as in D E A D - Dead!! ALL - ALL - ALL the Anti Gun Bills are DEAD!!"

  2. This is exactly why we really pushed people not to bring rifles to the rally we had at the Capitol on January 19th. I called the legal department at Legislative Plaza and also talked to the Tennessee State Patrol. They had absolutely no issues with people carrying a handgun as long as they had permits. They were very thankful that I was telling people not to bring rifles. They said that if people did they would be checking them for ammo.

This guy broke the law. It is as simple as that. If we are going to win this battle we will not do it by intentially breaking Tennessee state laws and acting like vigilantes.

  3. Rand Paul is definitely running for President in 2016.  It's a fact.

Rand Paul is definitely a contender.  He is a Tea Party Conservative, but he has played it smart and has not ruffled a lot of feathers on his way up.  He has a strong conviction and is a true Conservative.   If the GOP gets their heads out of their asses and finally tells people like Karl Rove to kick rocks they will have a real chance at retaking the White House, and even the Senate.

Karl Rove and his cronies are killing the GOP.  He is clueless as to what needs to be done to revive his own damn party.  The GOP better smarten up and go back to their roots.  They better grow some balls and tell the Democrats to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.  If they don't do that then the maggots in the Democratic party will finish them off.

  4. Another couple Senators are saying that they may "compromise". Making a deal with a snake like Chuck Schumer is like making a deal with the devil. He is a sniveling little weasel.

I will say this, if EITHER of our Tennessee Senators sign on to any "compromise" that retricts our right to bear arms they will lose my vote. And I will go out of my way to tell EVERYONE not to vote for them.

Compromise is not an option, we have "compromised" enough.

  5. Carry permits are a state decision, not federal.  She needs to keep her communist agenda in California.  Of course, people are starting to flee Commiefornia like crazy now, so these pieces of garbage want to force their crap on the rest of the country.

The folks out there need to get their heads out of their asses and stop sending brain dead socialists to the House and Senate.  The same goes for New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, etc.

  6. Thanks for coming to the event guys.  I apologize if it was not as big as you expected.  We had over 1000 people show up, which is not bad considering that Teri and I started organizing it only about 5 days beforehand. I had many nights of only 3-4 hours of sleep and still had to go to work everyday.  For those of you who do not know I am the dude in the black fleece coat behind the speakers in all the pictures.  I was able to meet a few of you even though I cannot remember your TGO names (MCurrier was one I think).  I got to meet lots of great folks there.  It was a real pleasure.  The Fox 17 reporter actually got annoyed with me because I kept talking to everyone that came up to thank me and I made him wait for a little while.

We believe that this event was a great success and we will be planning more.  We have not determined dates or locations yet.  So stay tuned for that.  Next time, we want to have at least a few weeks to prepare.  That way we can get better press exposure and also take better care of the details.  The sound was not very good, but I assure you that the next time it will not be an issue. We are already working on that.  Thanks again to those of you who attended.

Also a very special thanks to the speakers.  I will be reaching out to a couple of them again for the next event.  Specifically, Joe Carr and Nikki Goeser.

Updates will be posted on our Facebook page "Guns Across America - Tennessee".

  7. I am now the official Tennessee state organizer for Guns Across America.  If you have questions please let me know.  I can tell you that this will be a great event.  I just spent 3 hours on a conference call with the organizers in the other 49 states, along with the national organizers.  I have speakers being lined up right now and I am working on more.

There is a Right to Life rally at the Capitol building, so we will be assembling across the street at the War Memorial.  I have obtained permission from the people at Legislative Plaza, so we are good to go.  This is a public rally, so they have informed me that we do not need a permit or anything.  I urge people to dress somewhat nice and to not have a rifle on your back.  We do not need to feed the media stereotyping of gun owners.  Bring a sign too, but please make sure all the wording is spelled correctly.  Also, do not write any derogatory things on the signs.  The media WILL be there.  Please do not accept an interview unless you are prepared to do so.  Also, in the event that an anti-gun person tries to start a confrontation please WALK AWAY.

    Thanks everyone!

  8. Okay guys, I am now the official Tennessee state organizer for Guns Across America.  The event will assemble at the War Memorial across the street from the Capitol Building.  The Right to Life event will be at the Capitol Building, so we will be a totally separate event.  I have confirmed this with the folks at Legislative Plaza.  We are good to go.

I just spent 3 hours on a phone conference with the Guns Across America organizers of the other 49 states, along with the main national organizer, Eric Reed.  This is becoming a well coordinated event.  I have already got a few speakers lined up and I will be reaching out to a few members of Congress tomorrow.

  9. I heard on the radio that a Pro Life march is being held at 2 pm on that same day.

I am hearing the same.  The gun rally/protest is to be at noon.  Some people are concerned that a permit will need to be obtained.  I cannot find anything that says that one is needed as long as it does not spill into the street or onto private property.

Occupy Wall Street did it.  Why can't we?
