  1. Open carry at a rally is okay as long as it is done in a very responsible manner.  You have to make damn sure you do not break any laws and avoid any type of confrontation.  When I helped organize the rally in Nashville last January I made darn sure all law enforcement agencies were notified of the rally and that people would be exercising their right to carry a firearm on capital grounds.  I also notified the proper state officials and made sure they were aware of the rally.  In the weeks running up to the rally I consistently let the attendees know that law enforcement would be present and that protestors would also likely be there.  I also told them to keep their AR's at home.     The whole thing went extremely well and state law enforcement was extremely impressed with rally.  There were people open carrying handguns and probably over 50% of the crowd was armed.  Like I said, I see no problem with open carrying at a rally as long as the rally is well organized, peaceful, and follows the law in lock step.     You just need to be very careful in choosing the time and place for such events.  I will never go to a rally that is just thrown together and/or plans to be in direct defiance of the law.  That does not help our cause one bit.
  2. What I found comical about her "experiment" is that the dumb b*tch actually thought the gun store sold her a loaded firearm.  How stupid can you be?  Seriously, if I was a woman and ever had the displeasure of meeting this heifer I would just punch her teeth out.  I'm surprised she even has enough common sense to make it to work in the morning.
  3. Makes me proud that I am from Missouri.  If this becomes law my family and friends in Missouri will be very happy.  The only hurdle it has right now is Governor Jay Nixon, who is a Democrat.
  4. I think the real conservatives and libertarians within Republican Party need to step up and kick some liberal ass.  The problem with the current situation is that Republicans have been way to damn modest.  They have been trying to pander to the liberal base hoping to win some favor.  It will never happen if they continue to do it that way.  They need to shed their "old rich white guy" image, embrace the libertarian movement, and show some damn backbone for a change.  It's time to take the gloves off.   The good thing is that I am starting to see this happen.  With firebrand Senators like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio there is definitely hope.  My current fear is that the establishment Republicans (RINO's) will try to restrain them in an effort to toss out one of their own as a candidate.  I definitely see it happening and have already heard some names tossed out there.  Of course, a lot can happen between now and 2016.     The fight we need to concentrate on right now is 2014.  We need to keep the House of Representatives and take the Senate back.  I read today that a top Republican mentioned that they may try to impeach Obama in the not so distant future and he said it could be 2014 when they get around to trying.  No doubt that he is hoping for a Senate victory in 2014, which would give them the ability to take on the task.     We need to squash the progressive powerhouse and leave them so demoralized that it will take years for them to recover.
  5. There is a stark contrast between progressives and conservatives.  Conservatives are guided by their morals, traditions, common sense, and a general sense of right and wrong.  They learn from the past and embrace the wisdom gained from generations past.  Progressives on the other hand toss every single bit of that out the door because they think they are the most intelligent human beings to ever walk planet Earth.  They have no regard for right and wrong as long as it helps them achieve their means, something they call "progress".
  6. While working at the University of Chicago, Obama literally stated that he believes people should not be able to own guns. His voting record in Illinois backs it up. The company he keeps around him advocate for strict gun control. When he and Biden took suggestions for new gun control measures they only took advice from gun ban advocates. He can spew worthless propaganda all he wants. Gun owners aren't buying it.
  7. If they can help us defeat "universal background checks" then maybe we can join forces with them for a bit. We need all the help we can get.
  8. I heard that their latest buy was for ammunition in 45 Long Colt, 22lr, 12 gauge shotgun shells, and several other calibers. My questions is why in the hell does the DHS need to have these types of ammo in their stock pile? Makes me think that they are purposely limiting the amount of ammo that hits the civilian market by buying up as much as they can.
  9. The treaty will not pass the Senate, at least not yet.  I imagine the Democrats are going to just hold onto it until the day they have enough votes in the Senate to pass it.    My hope is that this all out assault by the Democrats on the Second Amendment will result in them losing the Senate in 2014.  Then we can stop them dead in their tracks.  If Obama's policies have not totally destroyed our economy by 2016, then we can hopefully get the White House and many of the the currently liberal state governments back too (Colorado comes to mind).  Then we can start reversing every liberal gun control law that has been passed in the past 8+ years.     Yeah yeah, I know.  2016 is a long way off........but I have a dream.  I want the liberals to be so defeated that even their self esteem is crushed to the core.
  10. We don't want a war there if it can be avoided in any way possible. That place would make Afghanistan look like Disney Land. I have no doubt that tens of thousands of our soldiers would die, at very least. If they attack first then we have no choice. If we know that an attack is imminent the best thing would be to use missles and drones to take out Kim and as many military leaders as possible, as well as their infastructure. Cause the whole government and military to collapse then go in and mop up. Either way, it would be a blood bath. Another possible consequence is that this whole thing has a domino effect. It could cause more conflicts. China is already just looking for an excuse to attack Japan and Taiwan. This has the potential to get really nasty.
  11. Well, I think it is time that us folks here in Tennessee take full advantage of the situation.  In East Tennessee we have the Smoky Mountains.  I think that would serve as an awesome backdrop for all of these shows and events that are leaving Colorado.
  12.   My thought exactly.  He changed it because he was told it would help him win the lawsuit that is currently being waged against the "Safe Act".  That is the only reason.  If he and his cronies could legally get by with changing the capacity limit to 1 round they would do it in a heart beat.  I am 100% convinced that the ultimate goal of people like Cuomo, Bloomberg, Obama, Biden, Feinstein, Durbin, and the Brady bunch is to eventually get a ban on all firearms.  They may not get there in this decade or the next, but that is their ultimate goal.   The banning of "assault weapons" and "high capacity magazines" is to set a precedent.  They want to ban an entire class of firearms, so that when they go after handguns and other firearms it will be a bit easier to achieve.  If they ever get any sort of ban, they will immediately start priming the government and the American people for the next one.
  13. Lol, I agree. He is hated by a lot of people. That's what happens when you think you are God just because you have lots of money. People are getting sick of him trying to dictate their lives.
  14. The Senate has to ratify it and the Democrats do not have the numbers to do it yet.  I think the Democrats badly miscalculated on their little gun control scheme and they will lose a lot of seats in the midterm election.  Then it is game on for 2016.
  15. The gun grabbers have already stated time and time again that their main objective this time around is the "universal background checks". These people are on record saying it. They have a good reason too. It is a step towards registration. First they get the background checks passed, then another couple mass shootings happen. Then they say "those universal background checks ain't working, we need full registration". Then it is game over. With the "universal background checks", the Democrats in the Senate want records kept of every single transaction/transfer that is done. That is as close to registration as you can get without actually calling it registration. Feinstein got her first ban passed in 1994 by bringing it to the floor as an amendment. She just said yesterday that she plans to do it again. It is not over folks.
  16. They cite a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center and actually have the audacity to call them "experts". http://www.cnn.com/2013/03/05/us/splc-extremist-groups-report/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
  17. Oh, I thought the mayor was actually a hard core liberal?  Isn't he?     Maybe I was mistaken......
  18. First order of business should be to fire the mayor and the entire city council.
  19. Very sad.  Colorado was once a great place for people to express their Second Amendment right to bear arms.  Now, the Liberals have taken over and are turning it into a terrible place to live. It will not be long until there is a mass exodus of Coloradans out of the state.  They will also skyrocket taxes and run the jobs out too.     This has got to stop.
  20. I do not see a law being passed to force all private sales to go through an FFL. They have been working on the bill in the Senate Judiciary Committee and have reached a stalemate. Senator Coburn refuses to give in to Schumers demand for records to be kept on all purchases and transfers. He said that unless the bill is stripped of that requirement he will kill it. We all know that Schumer, Obama and all the other gun grabbers want these records so they can eventualy try to implement registration. Heck, the fact that the records are even kept is, in essence, registration. The other parts of the bill will exempt family members and those who have carry permits. Still, even if a partisan bill makes it out of the Senate, it faces a likely demise in the House. The House Judiciary Committee has already rejected the House version altogether. Considering that ANY Senate bill will have to make it through the Republican controlled House, I think we can worry just a little bit less about it. The fight is not over, but the Liberals are hitting a brick wall. Hopefully, the Republicans see this as the opportunity they need in order to take back the Senate in 2010. We all know they are eyeing it already. With that being the case, they have something to gain from blocking gun control legislation. I know many of them are blocking gun control because they believe it is unconstitutional, but there are lots of them that see it as an opportunity to gain much needed favor with the voters.
  21. Thanks for coming out folks!!!  It was definitely a great event.  Our count was about 400-500 people.  We got 300 signatures on our petitions and also got to meet some great people.  We are not happy with WSMV's reporting of the event.  They said "dozens" of people showed up.  I have already been talking with the news producer about it and was not successful in getting them to change it. Oh well, biased reporting will not stop us from standing up for our rights.   We will be doing another event in the future, likely April or May time frame.  I am thinking the next one will be in East Tennessee in the Knoxville area.  We like to do the rallies, but we also have to focus on other things as well.  Rallies are fun and a great way to get together, but they are limited in what they accomplish.  The real fight is in getting our elected leaders stand up for our rights.  That's our primary mission at this point.
  22. Yes, legal handgun carry is allowed with a permit.
  23. Hickok45 asking everyone to join us.  Come on out folks!   http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0I0lddn5Dwc

  25. I am from Missouri, it is a mostly conservative state. BUT, there are a ton of Liberals there too. Also, many people in the state that are conservative vote Democrat simply because they belong to labor unions. The labor unions in Missouri send out voting cards to all of their members telling them who to vote for......and they are always all DEMOCRATS. Also, the St. Louis and Kansas City areas have a large base of Democrats as well. I was very frustrated during the last election. My mom and step dad voted straight Democrat even though I told them they would be sorry. They would not listen because the labor union fed them a load of crap that Romney was going to somehow combine railroad retirement with social security. It was a total lie. Then, my wife's grandparents turned around and voted for Obama because the automotive labor union told them to despite the fact that they both do not like Obama. I am glad I left Missouri. The job market is terrible and the taxes are getting bad. They have a state income tax and high personal property taxes. I was getting hit for almost $1000.00 a year in personal property tax alone. My step dad pays over $7,000.00 a year in state income taxes alone on about $100k of income.
