  1. I agree that electronic canned air is the way to blow out lint and other crud that lurks in those hard to get to places. As far as the oil goes no more than 1 small drop on both slide rails is all I ever use, and sometimes thats to much. My rule of thumb is you know its there but you never want to see it or its to much.
  2. At that price Ruger will get some more of my money. Just 2 weeks ago I saw one sell for $400 at the gun show. I thought to myself why would you want one so bad.
  3. No problems with my fobus. Actually it is one of the most comfortable paddles I have ever owned. It takes a few times to get used to removing your piece from the holster (quick snap). That being said it aint going to fall out either. Not a real good choice as a carry holster but if you dont carry on a daily basis where you have multiple time gun removal this is a great holster IMO
  4. It was an attack against me. I hate that towerclimber37 got caught in the crossfire, but thanks towerclimber37 for covering the back of a new member of the forum.
  5. Look at the date on this article. It was current news when posted and I saw nothing in this area of the forum about it. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=vRefb>Mat 23:8 </TD><TD class=vDispb>But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, [even] Messiah; and all ye are brethren. May be time to change your name . </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
  6. This type of class sounds like a winner.
  7. Got an eye appointment coming up soon. I'll ask if its the old eyes I have no problem focusing on just the front target but it is when I try to use both sights with both eyes open. Thanks for the tip maybe the Doc can help.
  8. Here is a link on the outcome of the DC gun ban. http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/supreme-court-shoots-down-d.c.-gun-ban-2008-06-26.html

    Great evening

A running target shoot in the rain. Now that sounds fun, don't it! Plus I have never done it.
  10. Before shipping back to Ruger ( SR9 recall) I would try another magazine. Normally from my experience with the 10/22, problems that occur almost always stem from the magazine or bad ammo.
  11. No loaded mags inside show, but definately carry your piece in case you see any goodies that might fit your baby.
  12. All my friends carry. It really helps to know who your real friends are.
  13. After reading the post to where it is better to aim with one eye or keep both eyes open I have a question that maybe someone help me with. When trying to shoot with both eyes open I find it difficult to acquire the front sight quickly enough. It blurs at first till my eyes adjust. This has always happened even before I got glasses. Is there eye training for this technique that anyone knows of.
  14. Well howdy neighbor. I have lived here all my life and can remember when at 6:00pm when Houchens closed all was finished for the night. Different story now! Thanks for the tip and offer on the brass. Ill let you know.
  15. Can I assume that a 10.8 cent cost is with you using your own brass. What about supplies? Where is some of the best places to get started with supplies. Thanks
  16. If you clean your weapon every time you shoot (like you should) you will probablly not have an issue with wolf.
  17. All 22's are not the same and some guns especially handgun autos know the difference. As a norm cci is one of the better choices.
  18. I am toying with the idea of finally starting to reload. I was wondering what kind of cost per round can I expect. I have been shooting mostly WWB at 19 cents per round. At the present this is the only round I am looking to load, but I can hardly see a savings. Any tips will be appreciated.

    first 9mm

Best bet is to go to a good shop and handle them all. After that there are plenty of good choices in the 400-500-range.
  20. Shot one last winter. It is by far the MOST gun I have ever shot. Stand to close and it will catch you on fire.
  21. Ruger SR9. Full size, yet slim 17 shot. This is the easiest fullsize carry I have ever owned.
  22. May we never take our rights for granted!! Believe this could happen to us? You bet ya!

    ruger lcp

Good advice is to wait on the lcp till the bugs are worked out and the price comes down.
  24. It sounds to me that you may be having a magazine problem. Can you isolate the ftf to any particular mag? It doesn't sound like the gun is the problem.
  25. No problem here. I use WWB 9mm most of the time. I have never had a reason to believe that it is in anyway inferior just because it came from Walmart. To much liability for the largest retailer.
