There was an article in the Leaf Chronicle the other day saying the city approved their license. I didn't look for an opening date or location, but I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Exit 4.

January 2015. And it will pass.

Looks like they're opening one up in Clarksville now.

Some folks still have shame. :)

Voldemort wishes he had it this easy

The same reason some gays need to make out in public, some folks wear offensive shirts and some women dress like street walkers.... so they can draw negative attention then have an excuse to fight against some kind of perceived discrimination. -
Does anyone remember the $99 Pmag on the first day of the nonsense? That was enough for me to make my decision from here on out.

Reps and Dems control the major media outlet. Libertarians are their common enemy, and it shows in how they're marginalized as whack jobs. Admittedly, there are many libertarian whack jobs out there which give the media plenty of ammo.

They're all in FEMA reeducation camps. Try to keep up.

I don't understand why he would consider firing her...

That's for certain. One thing I know, even if they disarm through incrementalism, they'll never get enough guns to make them safe if they push it too far. -
Well it's October and that means Halloween and Ghost Stories

Could be $5 for 500. Still wouldn't buy from them.

The government shutdown talk and the debt ceiling talk has got me wondering.
Makes one wish they could find a xenophobic survivalist cult on a few thousand acres in the middle of nowhere headed by someone who is NOT a fruitcake.
Sorry, it's a package deal. Gotta know how to kiss snakes and not touch yourself. Oh yeah, all laws are determined by John Lithgow's character in Footloose. -
The problem with using an honor system is that it only works properly when most people have honor. I'm sure there are a whole buncha people out there who qualify for many forms of assistance, but chose not to use it because they don't feel they need it. Then there are those who don't need it who take it for a lifetime. Kinda like when you leave a bowl of candy on your porch at Halloween with instructions to only take a few pieces of candy. There's always that kid who's gonna take the whole bowl and justify it by saying someone else would have eventually done it. No honor.

Yeah, I got my google out too, but I do like to hear information interpreted through another person's perspective, in case there is something I hadn't considered or there is supplemental information I'm not aware of. It sounds like Tanker has some strong, well thought out feelings on the subject and I think it would be beneficial to see him start a thread on it.
-
Don't want to hijack this thread further, but I'd be very interested to hear, as I'm sure many other would if you were to start another thread on it. I'm not a Walmart hater, as I interpret their business practices through the eyes of a business designed to make money, but I'm always willing to hear information that I didn't previously know.

I'm once again depressed after reading your posts. -
Interesting. I didn't know that. I do recognize, however, that Walmart is a business and I don't expect them to be an activist one way or another. I'm curious how much Walmart does in sponsorship of gun owner activities, other than being the largest retailer of firearms in the world other than the Russian government. Also, I'm willing to entertain the notion that Walmart execs view the mission statement of Responsible Retail Partnership in a different context than us rabid pro-2A types. Maybe nothing more than them having sound byte fodder when someone kills a bunch of kids using one of those evil "Bushwhacker" firearms that they sell.

They actually called the police as a precaution when they started looti... er, clearing shelves.

How has or will the government shutdown affected you
TMF replied to c.a.willard's topic in General Chat
Of course not. There are plenty of people on this thread and on this site, along with perhaps millions of other Americans, who are feeling the pain or will likely feel the pain soon. Ain't at all about the leeches. In fact, the leeches are the likely the only ones who will come out of this thing unscathed. This situation sucks all around, but I'm not convinced the alternative would be better. The ACA is going to be far more destructive in the long run. This fight needs to be made. Our voices weren't heard when they passed this steaming mess years ago, so let it be heard now. -

TMF replied to c.a.willard's topic in General Chat
The response had nothing to do with how it is affecting you, it had to do with the suggestive statement that people would celebrate another person's kid starving, as if somehow supporting the shutdown means you hate kids and want them to starve. The reaction to what you suggested is warranted. -

I'm really trying here, but I just can't accept that it is the government's fault if someone's child goes hungry. If my kids don't eat, how on earth could I justify blaming someone else? It's my responsibility. And I'll add to that, anyone who is claiming they can't feed their kids is full of sh** if they have anything of value, such as smart phones, iPods, iPads, computers, flat screens, jewelry, etc. I'd sell off my wedding ring before my kids would starve. -
Nothing makes more sense than morbidly obese people talking about how their children are starving. Meanwhile, somehow they can afford crack rocks and meth...

That's not bad at all for price. Did you have to do anything to prep the surface? Did you get the underside or just the top?

I'm considering buying a .300 barrel and swapping back and forth on my primary AR for deer season. I'm not planning on hunting until next season though. My biggest concern is the ammo. It seems like the ammo is pricy to shoot a lot unless you reload for it. I'm curious what the estimated cost would be to get a beginner's level setup to start reloading .300, minus bullets, primers and powder.

Sorry to keep you up. My day starts when most folks have ended.
