I'm not local right now so I can't get my hands on one. I've been eyeing 1-4x optics for a while and now that I'm getting ready to come back to town I'm motivated to get one ordered. I'm going on a trip in a few weeks and will be accessing a private range, so I figured I'd use the opportunity to zero a new optic.

Guys, I've been in the market for a 1-4x optic for my soon to be go-fast AR. I narrowed it down to the Bushnell, with similar models from Burris and Leupold competing. I like this one for the reticle and the throw arm to adjust quickly between 1 and 4 pwr. Being cheaper than the other options was certainly a plus, but I just want to make sure what I'm sacrificing on quality isn't too significant. I'm about ready to pull the trigger on this but just wanted to get an idea from anyone who has experience with this one to give me their opinion. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/343491/bushnell-ar-optics-rifle-scope-30mm-tube-1-4x-24mm-1-10-mil-adjustments-first-focal-illuminated-btr-1-reticle-matte

Ha, quite the wordsmith as always. I haven't had issues with them as of yet. I just placed my third order from them the other day and they were pretty responsive. They emailed me two days after the order to let me know that my FFL on file has expired, which seemed like a reasonable response time since it takes a human, not a machine, to follow up in something like that. I ordered from them during the panic and was given a 4 week expected delivery time, which was also understandable, but they shipped in less than two. Commo back and forth with them regarding FFL was all very timely. I'm about to order a Hipertouch kit from them on Monday, so we'll see how that goes. Where are you getting your crack whores, by the way? I can refer you to a much cheaper source... occasional half and half in exchange for a sample of clean urine.

Uh oh. What'd they do to earn that wrath?

You didn't jump on those $60 PSA lowers?

I felt sorry for the guy..... so I did something about it.

I don't think so. They'd fire him if he was selling stock using his employee discount to turn a profit, or holding stock for payment. Those are two things that Walmart employees have done during this ammo panic. I'd be shocked if a Walmart GM would let someone go over something like that. -
And this is new how? You just described nearly every military, ever. We have an all volunteer military. I don't know about others, but when I enlisted no one had a gun to my head. When you're in the military there are certain freedoms and comforts you give up, and you also expect that you'll be deployed at some point to some crap hole whether it is considered justified or not by random people on Internet forums. During those deployments you don't experience the Ritz. I'm still curious as to how US Servicemembers are denied religious freedom downrange. Perhaps you know something I don't. I'm sitting in Afghanistan right now only a hundred yards from the chapel. Perhaps I can bring it up to the chaplain that some guy on his couch back in the states feels as if troops don't have adequate freedom to practice their religion. I'm sure he's in a better position to know that. Of course, he's a Mormon, so he may be a part of this whole conspiracy to undermine religious freedoms of others.

So it's likely true because it can't be proven? Sounds legit. Aliens.

Okay, well then let us start a discussion on religious persecution in the military. I was in the Army. I've witnessed religious persecution first hand. Honestly, at the time some of it was a little amusing, however, looking back I don't think it was appropriate. If the same thing had happened in reverse it would have been a big friggin deal, but since it only involved people not willing to go to church it was funny. Well, what if you were punished for going to church? How would it be different to punish someone for going to church versus someone who doesn't go? Both are equal on the scale of religious persecution, however, I don't think people like you care about those on the other end of the scale. I could be wrong, so forgive me if I'm making the wrong assumptions here, but you don't really care about religious persecution, do you? You only care about a perceived persecution of people who believe the same thing as you do, right?

It's sucky, but I actually walked outa there with a good trade last time I went. I haven't been to a gun show since the Great Panic, but I'd assume people there would still think their rifles and ammo are made from unobtanium.
You may get to know him sooner than you think. Ever wonder why some smaller U.S. cities can apply for and receive Military surplus MRAP's, M-16 and other pieces of equipment?
They always have been. My father was issued a surplus M16A1 when Bush was in office. The SO back home got a bunch in the 90s to put in their trunks, not to mention their APC and fleet of UH1 helicopters. But this is something new you say?

Unfortunately I think there are just aholes who troll craigslist and flag things at random. Last year I was trying to put a stray up for adoption and it kept getting flagged every time I put it up.

Any word on what the total order for TGO lowers is, or may we find out after the closing date?

TGO Lowers "what your going to build" "how to build" General discussion thread
TMF replied to Luke E.'s topic in General Chat
Well, with the kids I don't don't see much range time anymore, but when I do my AR rifle work it is normally high volumes of ammo and flat range reflexive fire between 7m and 25m. Not much long distance. -
When I got to the Flogging Molly sticker I decided I was going to buy this out of principle then saw it was in Oklahoma.

Well, I think how we spend our range time with our ARs is a little different too. I have to say though, my .22 is my favorite of all my rifles, and I got a few cool things in the closet. -

If you don't have a dedicated .22 you don't know what you're missing. -
I believe in Heaven and Hell, as do many others. Do I have evidence? No, none needed. People can choose, it's their right, but if one ignores past history, it will come back around to bite you in the a$$.
Sure, you can choose to believe in anything. I'm not interested in a theological discussion, just a discussion which involves the facts of the assertions made in the story you posted. None of it can be backed up with evidence. You can choose to believe that, but I don't think forming your world view around the opinions of others who have not provided fact is a road most rational, well thought out people want to go down. You are, of course, entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. If the story you posted was true there would be hard evidence to back it up. All I see is opinion based in the will to believe that Obama is the root of every single evil thing ever. Doesn't seem necessary when there are actual facts out there which paint Obama to be a pretty bad person.

If someone says it's going to be cold today and provides no evidence, I'll take their word for it. When someone claims there is a vast conspiracy and provides no evidence, it's most certainly bullsh** and doesn't warrant looking into further.
-
I don't have to Google anything. I'm not the one making accusations and assertions. That article makes a whole lotta inflammatory accusations but provides no evidence for it. When a person makes an accusation it is not up to me to prove its validity, it is up to the accuser. What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. So I'm dismissing the whole article you posted. It's all bullsh**.
-
There are no sources for the accusations made in that article, which makes it not an article, just a person's online rant. I'm willing to believe the sky is pink if someone was to give me the evidence supporting it. Nothing there though.

Arfcom was stupid when I left it over a decade ago. I go back there every so often when researching a new buy and see that nothing has changed other than getting worse. Bunch of douchebags.
