TGO Lowers "what your going to build" "how to build" General discussion thread
TMF replied to Luke E.'s topic in General Chat
This is why I was so adamant originally to make sure the upper was a billet as well. I didn't want to mix it, wouldn't look right. -
MOE. I have too, and they ain't floppy at all. Very tight, especially compared to the last two generations of army issue crap.

Making it work in FA is easy too.

PSA just had a deal with LPK with Magpul grip and stock+ buffer tube assy w/buffer and spring + BCG and charging handle for $250

Right on. I think that if you use YouTube as a source while you're going through the various steps if your build you should have no problems, at all. It doesn't hurt to have someone around who has done it before, but that is more if a confidence thing. You can do it all on your own, and if you make mistakes (like losing a spring as it shoots off into oblivion) you'll learn something valuable. I haven't learned that myself; I still lose springs because I'm impatient and my perceived abilities are greater than my actual abilities. I, ure if there is a TGOer near you with experience they'd be more than happy to give ya a hand. In fact, sometime in the next 60 days when all these TGO lowers start showing up I'm betting there will be a few build parties going on.

I know we don't want to believe it, but there really are people this stupid out there. I encounter them all the time. He's young and had his head up his rectum. Hopefully he learned a lesson that won't earn him a criminal record.

Yes, but at the tactical response course you get a complimentary tough guy patch and one cycle of HGH.

Spend two days watching YouTube videos on AR builds and I'll print you a certificate for $5; it will mean just as much and your skill level will be about the same.

MO Cop to open-carry chicks: "Show me your papers!"
TMF replied to daddyo's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It's pointed down, but his posture is at the ready the manner he's holding it in. This is when they're still inside. Just silly to look at considering the context. On top of that there's the other cop being a jerk. The whole thing makes me cringe. -
You mean Alex Jones is more concerned with generating revenue by increasing web traffic on his site and selling advertising space than he is concerned about us little guys? Next you'll tell me that martial law hasn't been declared and I'm not sitting in a FEMA camp right now!

Clearly showed terroristic intent.

MO Cop to open-carry chicks: "Show me your papers!"
TMF replied to daddyo's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It's not so much the presence of the rifle, it's his posture. Upon getting in there and seeing a bunch of teenaged girls that should have been a clue they weren't al Qaeda. How that officer is presenting himself with that rifle is damn near comical. It looks like something that gets written into a script to depict untrained and inept, Podunk wannabe cops. If I'd a walked in there like that ready for a MWAG active shooter and saw what the situation really was I would have felt like an ahole, then relaxed my "combat" posture. This guy is standing there like he's seen one too many SEAL movies. -
The SHTF cycle of hype is like that movie "The Cabin in the Woods" where there is a rotating cast of demonic threats that are randomly selected to attack the people in the cabin. Who knows what it'll be this time? Maybe the merman? Maybe justice for Trayvon mermen? I don't know. Guess we'll have to stay tuned.

MO Cop to open-carry chicks: "Show me your papers!"
TMF replied to daddyo's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The way I tell the difference between a jerk cop and a cop just doing his job is whether or not they conduct themselves in the same manner they would conduct themselves if they weren't wearing a badge. I don't believe this man would make it far in life if he talked to people like that, especially young women. If he talked to people like that in civilian clothes he'd not make it far before someone eventually punched him in the mouth. I get that cops need to assert themselves with criminals, but wouldn't one address a criminal the same no matter what they were wearing? Now, had he approached these ladies and they were rude and uncooperative I could understand his demeanor, but everything he does just screams douche, and the cherry on top is the moron standing in the background with his rifle at the ready as if those young ladies are about to turn a Subway into downtown Ramadi. Just rediculous. -

He was showing off what a big boy he was. In his mind that is how an officer is supposed to conduct himself, from the position of authority rather than a peace officer. A peace officer would have responded to the call, been cordial with the young ladies and wished them a good day. This guy doesn't see the role of police that way. He sees it as a position where you can assert your control over others, and should. All because in high school the other boys whooped on him and none of the girls would touch his pee pee. -

The cops walked in with a loaded M4 at the ready.... for a group of 18 year old girls having lunch and bothering no one. You're damned right they video taped it! They'd a got a lot more than a video had they walked up like that on my daughter. -
I think the "most likely" part was simply because he is from the area near Ft Campbell and a transplant. I don't think that was intended to mean the way it sounds. Not that he is a dummy because he's in the military; more that he is a dummy who happens to be in the military.

Yeah, this was my big problem with this guy; who treats young ladies like that? What an effing coward to act like that and push them around. If he didnt have a badge on and was treating little women like that he'd be getting his teeth knocked in. -
Georgia man runs into burning home to get beer
TMF replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
When drinking American piss water beer, sure, ya gotta drink that stuff cold. American pilsners don't bring out flavor when they warm up, they just taste like stale ass. -
Weren't we all supposed to be in FEMA camps right now based on the predictions made this time last year?

Quality engraved ejection port / dust covers?
TMF replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I ordered mine off amazon. No issues, quality as good as one could expect. I'm not an expert on laser engraving, but it would seem that it's pretty much the same no matter who is doing it. -

Maybe he was British. -
Yep, not saying it's done efficiently. Surely there is a way to privatize the whole thing without denying access to all American kids, I just ain't smart enough to have the answer, and if I did it would never happen anyway.

Well the teacher would be paid for with tax dollars from the state or private dollars if it be a private school. Of course, if homeschooling the teacher would be the parent.
