The thread in which an Army Lt. Col pisses us all off.

I'm not sure he even rises to that level... more like a REMF wannabe. -
By all means, you don't have to keep the safety on when holstered. Let me know how that works out for you after carrying it that way for a while.

Yep, last night was a long night. Gonna lean into this thing today.

This isn't the "flu" as it were. There actually no such thing as a stomach flu, people just call it that. The flu shot has nothing to do with this.

So it looks like he was a reservist his whole career? This guy doesn't have the creds to know what he thinks he knows. I cant believe esquire even used him for a story. They might as well centered a story around a PFC from any random active duty unit and the opinions would be just as relevant. -
Didnt order it in time for my trip. I forgot about PSA's inability to ship quickly.

I got the explosive diarrhea (yay) a few hours prior to violent vomiting, but my kids didnt get that part and neither did my dad. Vomiting just stopped for me. Of course, my wife just woke up puking her guts out. It breaks my heart. I hate seeing her with this.

I assume you're talking about a CIB. He can't get it because he isn't infantry. He's a killer alright. Like I said, he makes coffee for the grow ups. The only "combat" he's seen is probably watching Platoon at the FOB movie night on whatever POG-choked base he was on. -

What was his branch? He is full of feces, especially with his "I kill people" garbage. Likely a staff weenie making coffee at the pentagon for the grown ups. -
I had to break into my SHTF pharm for this one.

But seriously, if you know someone with it stay away. This is the worse one I've seen in 20 years.

My folks got it the same time as my two year old and they said the nausea held on for a week. Both my kids were fine after 36 hours though. Kids seem to bounce back quicker; probably because they lick handrails all day and have iron immune systems.

It sucks and I need to commiserate. Both my kids have had it and now I have it. Brought it in from out of state. It seems to lay dormant for three or four days after exposure, then hits you, so if a family member gets it keep the best distance you can for a few days. You don't want this. I thought I was out of the woods since my son had it Saturday, and I showed no signs until this morning.

guy robs dollar store at gun point, gets shot. Family crys foul.
TMF replied to vontar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If my kid was shot while robbing someone I would be remorseful for the victims and embarrassed that I raised a monster. I'll love my kids no matter what, but that doesn't mean I have to love what they do. These people come from an entitled society void of conscience. They don't see the wrong in what they're doing because they have been raised to be sociopaths. The parents should be thrown in jail for letting their felonious son out to terrorize society. -
Exactly! I'm not sue-happy, but if I get an injury from someone's intentional stupidity I'm gonna make sure they never make another dime without paying some of it to me. Of course, if one of my kids get hurt it will be a different case entirely.

My apologies in my post above yours if it came off as if I was referring to "you" as I just reread it and it seemed as if the entire post was directed at you specifically when my intention was to use "you" as term toward motorists in general. Sorry if you interpreted it that way when you read it.

Does anyone on this show know how to shoot on semi auto and aim? I get that Hollywood thinks that's how gun fights go, but that's why they have consultants. Also, where'd they get all the full auto AKs? I guess the FA M4s could be battlefield recovery, but AKs? I already know the sad answer though, Hollywood doesn't know any better.

I grew up in Florida so I'm used to old folks driving 20 mph below the speed limit with the left turn signal on. With me it's an intent issue. There are drivers out there who are just oblivious due to ability, and I'm okay with that. Then there are folks out there who are intentionally inconsiderate of other drivers, such as speed regulators, who drive slow on the interstate then speed up when you try to pass, then get in front of you and slow down again. I get it. Those people should be kicked off the planet. But I have a hard time getting worked up when I'm being inconvenienced by somebody who just doesn't know any better. I got stuck behind this guy doing 30 in a 45 the other day and was cursing him in my mind until I noticed he had a WW II POW plate. That guy can go a slow as he wants, and I got over my frustration immediately.
-
I agree with much of that in respect to the interstate, but on two way country roads you're gonna have to deal with people slower than you and not have an aneurism. It's pretty easy to deal with unsafe drivers on the interstate by either moving over or, if you're in the right lane, slowing down so much that they get pissed off enough to go around you. But on the country roads I have no obligation to drive faster simply because the guy behind me wants to drive fast. You just have to deal with it and accept the earth doesn't revolve around your needs. Unfortunately my experience on the TN country roads has been such that I'm somehow at fault for simply driving to my destination. I usually do about 5 over, which I subjectively think is reasonable, but even if I'm driving the speed limit what right does ANYONE have to ride my ass and create an unsafe situation? It baffles me that there are people who not only think this way, but will say that the person who is obeying the law is creating the unsafe situation by enraging the other driver, thus provoking an altercation. That's effing nuts! Anyone who thinks that way has their head screwed on wrong.

He did some good stuff early on. It was quirky and unique. Since the Kill Bill series it seems like Tarantino is trying to make movies more Tarantino-ish, and, in my opinion, it goes over the top and is no longer original.... sometimes downright stupid. The last few were just an over indulgent homage to himself. I suspect anything to do with killing whitey will be over the top "I'm sorry for being white" garbage. Or not. Maybe he's actually reading reviews of his last few films and will attempt not to suck so bad. Either way, it'll probably make a lot of money.

My parents do this all the time. They make a date out of it. My dad, who was an LEO for three and a half decades said it is a good scenario trainer, as well as fun. I doubt it will result in people doing stupid stuff. They seem to be able to do that on their own without the benefit of a virtual trainer.
