  1. You don't need lots of money to go out and buy a car you don't need that costs a whole bunch at 20% interest. I see lots of min wage people driving around in cars I couldn't afford, and I have a big boy job.
  2. ... when Oh Shoot corrects the spelling and grammar in your post.
  3. Glad to see the media get blue balls again. It still remains this guy is the scum of the earth.
  4. Having kids lets you be young again. I just got to play dinosaurs and hide and go seek.
  5. Bookoo an Craigslist already do; they prohibit the sale of firearms on their sites.
  6. That's the problem, I think they do understand just fine.
  7. It baffled me when the media went after Putin for anti-gay laws while Islamic countries are imprisoning gays and administering forced hormone treatments to them. Selective outrage is a liberal symptom.
  8. I desperately await the day that domestic Islamic fundamentalism encroaches on liberal agendas. I think it would make the talking heads on msnbc explode.
  9. Ya build one fence and no one calls ya a fence builder....
  10. Life is short and things are funny. I'm white and find it amusing when I'm ridiculed for being a crappy dancer. I dunno, it just seems easy to be light about the things that make us funny. Gay people as a whole have a lot of funny stereotypes to acknowledge. No need to take it so seriously. People just need to chill and not always find excuses to be offended.
  11. Ah, c'mon. If they can take a d**k they can take a joke. Let us not be so sensitive.
  12. Take it easy there, little tyke. I was pointing out what the adults are talking about, not what their opinions are. The grown ups here are talking about the government involvement, not "feelings" of what is right and wrong.
  13. Yeah, I would add that if you're still feeling uneasy about it you could have him bring orders, and if he lives on the TN side off base any utility bill would do. Pretty much you're doing everything from your end to do the right thing. There's nothing wrong with asking him to provide certain documentation to CYA, but you're not doing anything illegal here or even close to it, so there isn't a need to be so wary.
  14. So? The point of the thread is the baker's right to refuse service, not who finds it offensive. Different people find different things offensive... is that what you're pointing out? What a revelation! The big issue the adults here have is the government becoming involved and enforcing other people's petty emotions.
  15. And folks would still think he had the right to refuse service no matter what their emotions. That's what you and others don't get. It isn't about what is subjectively right and wrong, it's about not using the government as a bully to force people to bow to your subjective views of right and wrong.
  16. There was a thread a while back where CA Willard inquired to the ATF about it. They responded with it being good to go. Soldiers stationed there can purchase/sell in KY, TN and their home of record.
  17. Sadly, the people I'm referring to are our fellow Americans; friends, family, neighbors. I think MOST people believe, deep down, that others should be forced to obey their world view.
  18. This is nothing more than another case of people wanting to force other people to do things because one side doesn't like the fact that the other side disagrees with their beliefs. A lot of that going on in just about every issue we face no matter what side a person sits on. The folks guilty of doing it are disgusting; more so than the folks they accuse of being disgusting by far.... no matter what the issue. It's that same attitude prevalent throughout history which makes it impossible to live and let live; someone disagrees with a belief so the other side finds ways to make the person submit to that belief out of a combination of spite and desire for control. We can never live and let live because there are to many aholes in the world that need their faces punched in.
  19. The low/long branches on my maples are starting to droop pretty good. Glad the leaves are off the trees. I lost a tree sized branch over Thanksgiving break during those storms.
  20. Sure, when I was a teenager. He is what?.... late 30's early 40's? Old enough to know better. Old enough to understand consequences. Old enough not to take stoopid risks for the thrill of it when he is a father. I'm in the same boat as him, and I'll tell you straight up I'm not doing stoopid stuff for thrill when I have young ones to tend to. I know better and so did he. If I was in a car with someone driving stoopid amounts of speed I'm gonna tell them to slow the **** down no matter who they are. I ain't 16 any more. My wife and kids expect more outa me. So no, I don't feel any sorrow for Paul Walker. For all those dumbasses who said that he died doing what he loved should think that he, in those final moments of being burned to death, was wishing he would have chosen wiser. It is sad for his family and friends who were close to him. If he were my dad, I'd hate him every day for being so careless with his life for such stoopid reasons.
  21. I saw the security video. They were hauling some serious speed. They snapped a light pole like a twig, subsequently took a second tree out before smashing into something large enough to cut a Porche in half and set it on fire. Don't be f'ng rediculous. They were going well over 100 mph to snap a light pole and still have enough energy to take out a second tree and hit a third object fast enough to do the damage they did. Forgive me if I don't classify this under "tragedy". Hopefully, in time, America can recover from this.
  22. I thought he did those awful Grindhouse/Planet terror movies. Django and Basterds fall into that over-indulgent category as well, not that I didn't enjoy Basterds; just wish he'd tone it down a notch like his early flicks.
  23. That's good to know. We've been taking promethazine for the vomiting but I've stayed away from the pepto.
  24. Yup. Most folks don't know someone who shot themselves in the leg with a 1911. I do. I'd recommend using that safety.
