  1. My wife would never fall for that one... not after the pizza box incident...
  2. If he were still here he'd argue that you need to prove that the government isn't installing listening devices into everyone's peckers. Debate, check. Mate.
  3. Ha, well it's true. It was very dangerous to be one of them higher tier bad guys who may not have had the "opportunity" to surrender themselves, like their lower level guys. I'm sure there are a few Ranger Bn guys kicking around the board somewhere. I've never seen facial piercings like that. They were very dedicated to their craft. Despite the rediculous ROE that existed during that conflict, we slaughtered a crap load of bad people.
  4. Nope, I don't misunderstand at all. I was there. They rarely took us on. We killed them by going to their homes and shooting them in the face. By monitoring roads with physical and technical surveillance, then killing them. We killed them by doing a lot of sneaky type things they still don't know how we did. Their casualty rate was incredibly high. Their capture rate was much higher. If they tried something similar in the states it would be worse. Not everyone is brown in the states. It is not a permissive environment for Muslim extremists. They could easily take a few soft targets initially. It would end there. Not because everything would be made a hard target, but because the environment would change and their ability to make war would change, drastically. Like I was saying, they operated in a permissive environment where everyone looked the same and much of the population supported them or were afraid of them. The states will never be that environment for them no matter what anyone likes to think. They could never do what they did there. They can only get these small scale attacks once or twice a decade. In Iraq they were conducting hundreds of attacks daily. They could never achieve that for more reasons than ROE.
  5. Negative. I learned young to sh##can "friends" that were destructive and didnt care to cover their destructiveness. We all make mistakes, but we're expected to own up to those mistakes. A friend that can't do that is the exact opposite of a friend.
  6. They're not really good at what they do. For every one of us they killed we killed 20 times more. 200 times more if you wanna believe the hippies. Realistically though, we killed a crap load for everyone of ours that was lost. Add to that we located and recovered over 90 percent of roadside IEDs by 2007-on. They suck at what they do even when they are operating in a permissive environment. If they were to operate in a non-permissive environment they would be 100 times less successful. So realistically, we could flood this country with a million radical Muslims bent on destroying us and they would have little success at the beginning and zero success a month later. Oh yeah, and this story is a heaping mass of bullshit that should be deleted for this forum.
  7. Probably. He ain't gonna get my vote though. I'd rather vote for a racist, socialist democrat.
  8. I thought she said he played the piano at the Ryman. Either way, why the hell would that be in a commercial for his adequacy as an elected official? They could have said that he took consistently solid dumps for two years straight and it would be just as relevant. I was laughing out loud at that nonsense. What's worse is there are people that eat this up. This looks like something that would be in a futuristic dystopian film.
  9. N. Korea puts out better propaganda than this guy.
  10. I'm gonna go with the most likely issue which would be that the judge hasn't read and understood the constitution or just doesn't care. Seems like a safer assumption than vast conspiracy.
  11. I'm more inclined to blame the judge who authorized that nonsense.
  12. Sounds like some drama queen overreacted and then it spiraled into stupidity. This guy is nearly a mile away from the school and someone thought there was an active shooter? I'm only a mile from a quarry and they detonate tons of explosives, yet no one freaks out and makes national news.
  13. Has anyone seen these commercials they've been running lately? They are some of the most ridiculous political ads I've seen used to sell a pol's character. The first time I saw one I was laughing out loud. I can't believe this guy is serious.
  14. The person carrying. Folks should use their discretion based on the situation. Problem is that some folks don't care to do that, then are surprised by the outcome. Might not be a big deal to carry most places, but if you walked into a Chuck E Cheese with bright shiny hand cannon strapped to your thigh it's gonna cause a stir. Not saying there should be a law against it, but just like with most other rights people don't know how to exercise them with consideration to their environment. I was in a supermarket last year and a guy was waking around with "f**k you" written in big letters on his shirt. He has a first amendment right to free speech, but he is an idiot that needs a piano dropped on him.
  15. It is possible that happened as soon as we left. The biggest thing I noticed being out of place were that two of the cops failed to combat park... so inefficient if having to leave quickly.
  16. There's actual proof there. Also, constitutional or not, a judge granted them permission to gather that data, not some underground shadow organization. I'm not saying that it isn't possible that some judge has granted access to firearms purchases in the name of GWOT, I'm just saying no proof exists of it. To argue that it is true that they have been keeping a database of all gun purchases for the last two decades is like arguing the government is tracking you with stealth choppers and the proof of it is that you can't hear them.
  17. What's to stop them from developing an army of genetically altered lizard people? Point is, I concern myself with things that exist, not things that may exist, otherwise I'd still be checking the closet for the boogeyman each night.
  18. And that is called proof. I'm not going to believe something exists if the proof of its existence is our not knowing it exists. That makes no sense,
  19. That is kept on the form. The form would be the only thing tying you to the purchase and that stays with the FFL. NCIC is required to destroy your info within a business day unless you're turned down. I guess they could, but you'd have to explain to me who "they" are and how "they" are able to keep such great OPSEC on it. Simply assuming that there is a great database out there of every gun purchase simply because we don't trust our government doesn't qualify as proof.
  20. It just doesn't make any sense that it would unless that information was voluntarily given by the State of Tennesssee. Perhaps there are other states that volunteer that information to be entered into some sort of NCIC database, but I figure there would be some open source info on that if that were the case. I mean, it shouldn't show up on a NCIC background check for the same reason my fishing license wouldn't show up.
  21. Why would there be information on TN HCP holders in the NCIC system in the form of a database? They're not even allowed to keep firearm purchases on record for more than a business day unless the transfer was denied.
  22. Doesn't pass the sniff test. Throwing up the BS flag. Sleep well America.

    Lone Survivor

Well, ya gotta figure that the task organization on a high tier mission with 4 or less dudes would require a buttload of special skills which would exceed the organic skills of an infantry company.... so you have a guy who does commo, but also has to do a lot of other stuff. Same for a medic. He's gonna have to have a lot of other capabilities. It's easier to teach a medic to be a sniper than to teach a knuckle dragger to be a medic. That's why all them spec ops guys have all them cool capabilities. You have to cram a lot of capabilities into a small force.

In jobs like this being a medic is a secondary thing. Not uncommon for medics to be snipers or have to hump machineguns in special operations.
