Here are your comments regarding the church: You don't see why someone might find that offensive and a broad stroke of the brush? And who said we shouldn't acknowledge abuse? Not I or anyone else in this thread. Hell, I'd be willing to bet most here, to include myself, would agree with most of what you think in regard to how The Vatican handled things. The difference is we can acknowledge that without abusing another person's religion. And when did I become a gay or immigrant basher? You quoted me and made that your first line in your response. Clearly you don't know my stance on gay marriage or immigration to think I would "bash" either group just for the sake of it. And before you say that wasn't directed at me, why would you even put it in your quote in response to what I said. And for the record, I referred to you as a blood belching vagina because of your attitude, not your opinion. You can have the exact opposite opinion as me and it's cool. I married a liberal Yankee. Differences of opinion don't bother me as much as someone who chooses to present their side in an intentionally abusive way. So, in reference to what you're speaking of, you're doing it again and getting the same response. You likely think I'm way of base, and that's okay. It would be beneficial for you to listen and absorb it though. Maybe then people won't think you're such a dick when you talk. You may have the last word, Sir. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It's amazing, really, how skewed folks are on the immigration thing. I was recently working with an Australian who had an education, awesome job with good retirement benefits who wanted nothing else but to move to the US and be a citizen. The way he described the process gave the impression that it was hopeless. Yet folks believe that there are people who should be able to just walk across the border illegally and get put in the express lane to citizenship (and ultimately gov benefits). And if you oppose giving special consideration to citizen-hopefuls who begin their American dream by breaking the law you are labeled a racist. It just doesn't add up to me. Makes no sense. But America the Beautiful in different languages doesn't bother me. You know what bothers me? It's a Small World in different languages, to include English. It's been three months since being on that ride and somehow I have the Dutch version still stuck in my head, and I don't speak Dutch. Go ahead, flame me for being intolerant. I deserve it. Seemed that there are more posts here supporting the ad than folks opposing it. Either way, differing opinions are good. I like to hear folks who believe contrary to me. It helps to understand where other people are coming from and either confirm or question my own opinions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You're not getting bashed for mentioning the abuse of young boys, you're getting bashed for how you're doing it. Whether or not you choose to be religious, you have to respect that other people are. Some of them are Catholics. Being Catholic doesnt mean you automatically condone abuse of children. That broad brush you're painting with suggests that. Chill out and try to be more respectful towards the beliefs of others. I don't think you'll find anyone here that would defend how The Vatican handled the incidents of abuse by priests. Yet no one here would be labeled such a dick like you for voicing that. So perhaps instead of trying to play the martyr for having an differing opinion, you should look at what you're saying and how other people may take that. Let us start by being empathetic and contemplating what a Catholic would think about you calling the whole of the Catholic Church "pedophiles". You don't see why that may be offensive to some? If you don't you're being disingenuous. Also, how strongly do you feel about Shia Islam? Not so long ago the Ayatollah issued his fatwa concerning acceptable, non-penetrative sex with prepubescent girls. Guess what, he said it was okay. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hmm, historically he hasn't been very successful fighting without a weapon. Perhaps they'll give him a handicap? A .380 this time? But seriously, this is gonna be funny watching this idiot being beaten down.

Does this mean you wouldn't be able to have it in your vehicle, stored with ammo and empty chamber, the manner in which it is legal to have a rifle for HCP holders? You could go with an AFG to keep it a pistol. It's a good compromise, and a little nicer than just the handguard. ETA: You now have my interest on this. I like being able to keep it a pistol so it is legal to have loaded, especially for camping, hiking and such. My current rifle caliber pistol fits nicely in a hiking pack I carry. It would be great to have the added stability of this and be able to carry with ammo. This may be the project for my recently bastardized lower which was dethroned by my TGO lower.

Well many folks do, and this is the reason why. For example, Penn also supports the right to drink alcohol. He has very strong opinions about the prohibition. At the same time, he's never had a drop of alcohol in his life. He has no idea what it tastes like and has no idea what the sensation of drunkeness is like. He also supports the right to take drugs that are currently illegal. He has never taken drugs before; he doesn't believe in it. So, the point is you can support a person's right to do something, such as drink, do drugs or own a firearm without actually believing in the act of doing so or participating in the act of doing so. It is kind of in line with his quote in my signature. You have to be able to put your personal beliefs aside and acknowledge that other people may believe different, and those beliefs are every bit as valid to them as your beliefs are to you, and so long as those beliefs do not directly infringe on the rights of others then we should defend those beliefs. For all we know Penn and Teller are pants wetters around actual loaded firearms. Not the point. They still believe in your rights regardless of their personal hang ups. If only a majority of Americans could be the same.

It seems pretty easy not to speed after you've had a few years of driving experience, without having to "pin" your eyes to the spedometer. I haven't been pulled over for speeding since back when I used to intentionally speed. I used to call tickets a "speed tax". I got older, married, had kids. I drive a few miles over the speed limit and rarely look at the spedometer. I don't have any superpowers.

I don't think it's pro-gun as much as it is pro-Constitution/pro-liberty. I doubt Penn or Teller owns a firearm for self defense. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Every time I've been flashed in the past few years is when there are deer on/near the road ahead. I've learned to slow to an absolute crawl when I get flashed at night. Of course, one of these days it'll be a cop hiding and he'll pull me over for obstructing traffic or something. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yah, I know that stuff is good. Once again, my response that you quoted was directed at the person who was simply stating nonsense of paying a professional. I was attempting to explain why it makes sense for folks who have more than a couple numbers to add. Really, turbo tax is like paying a pro anyway, since you pay for the software (with the advanced stuff). You're just paying less. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
We have been talking about drones hovering around the roof lines of houses. You really are being obtuse about it huh.
Yes. They seem to think this is an overreaction from folks who hate technology. I work with a couple of guys who are quad enthusiasts who have very expensive aircraft. They aren't flying it around the windows and rooflines of other people's houses. They aren't peeping Tom douchebags. By several accounts, this aircraft was hanging around outside of windows peeking in. The story of the operator doesn't add up. This appears to be exactly what we're talking about. Yet folks just have their preconceived notion that folks who have a problem are just closed minded simpletons. That's fine. You clearly don't have young kids, so your opinion means absolute squat.
We have been talking about a drone over your property not necessarily outside a window. I have ultralights fly over regularly, can I shoot them? And 500 ft is not all that high. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Okay, so what is the appropriate height, huh? If I go out and buy a fan powered hover craft can I hover an inch over your property? I'm not touching th ground, and you don't own the airspace, so I should be able to hover right up to your windows and see if I can peek in. An inch too low? Okay, how about a foot over? How about two feet? How about the same altitude as your 2nd story window? You don't own the airspace, so I should be able to park myself or my flying video camera right outside your window for as ling as I want. If you have a problem with that, I guess you can shut your shades. After all, you don't own the airspace. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If I had to take a shot in the dark on how many countries I've been to I'd say somewhere in the 20's. I get a kick out of the expectations of other Americans that folks there speak English, then get a bigger kick out of it when they do. The only places I've been to where the overwhelming majority of folks have no concept of English were countries where I carried a rifle. As for the rest, they didnt seem offended to speak English with me. I haven't seen this ad yet, so I can't form an opinion, but as a proud American I don't think I'd go out of my way to get offended.
I bought the deluxe version of Turbo tax, seems like it will work fine...
Probably will work as good as HR Block, Jackson Hewitt or better. My comment was regarding how complex tax returns get the further you progress in life, that you no longer can just sit down and hand jam a few boxes and add up a few numbers in under an hour. It gets complicated. The advanced versions of turbo tax should walk a lay man through much of that, but it is gonna take more than an hour if you have a lotta stuff to figure in there. Just trying to illustrate to someone that many folks have much more than 3 or 4 statements to deal with and a boatload of applicable deductions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

He's had some really good roles in some movies, if you're into that sorta thing. Folks make the assumption that a famous person who has been in very popular movies is a household name. Hell, I've never seen a single episode of the Kardashian show, yet I know who they are, unfortunately. This guy seemed good as actors go, however, I fail to see how that could ever excuse his actions. He had three small kids. When you have kids you owe it to them not to inject dangerous poisons into your veins for your own selfish pleasure. F*** him. What a piece of human trash.
No one said anything about a peeping tom. No one posted or reported a good physical description of this felony drone in action. I've flown rc aircraft long before the contractors were hanging around rc flying fields in calif stealing ideas for what's in use in unmanned craft today. Shooting anything in a small neighborhood that scares someone that isn't in a life threatening situation, is a bad idea, and irresponsible. A hobby quad isn't life threatening. Guys used to lose rc planes when they had radio gear failures, an untrained eye would call it in as an airliner crash when they saw it going in. If your worried about anyone looking into your home, Close your shades. A complete stranger can stand on a sidewalk or street and shoot video of what they can see from that spot all day long without infringing on someone's curtilage. I think the story is funny as hell but sadly reminds me of when kids playing with firecrackers are called in as a drive by shooting with machine guns is happening now! To 911.... 8 year old kids fly these little electric quads like they're nothing, they're toys per my reference to age. Most adults would likely have a large more capable device at a designated flying field instead of a small neighborhood.. To quote a former president of the tn trial lawyers : Ignorance of the law is not a good defense but you best show me the law that says you can't. When you hear hoofbeats think horses not zebras.... Speaking from my experience, I don't believe piracy is really an issue when it comes to theaters. I'm sure there are plenty of people who download pirated stuff and watch it, but consider the fact that they wouldn't go to the theater and pay for a ticket anyway. Going to the movies is an experience. That experience used to be cheap. Now it costs and arm and a leg just to get in there, not to mention the cost of concessions. Add to that the general nastiness of theaters nowadays. Once Netflix came along we just decided to wait until stuff comes out on DVD. This is before having kids, so the ability to get out wasnt the issue. It just doesn't make sense to drop $30-$40 bucks to see a movie when we could just wait and see it for the cost of a monthly Netflix subscription. I never downloaded pirated movies, and folks I know of the same mindset as me don't either. Going to the movies just ain't worth the money and hassle anymore. Plus Hollywood has been turning out absolute garbage. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Don't forget something to protect the cojones
Well of course. I double up the nut flap that hangs down from my body armor. Also put those side plates in, so I'm only lugging around an extra 45 lbs of armor. Problem is the kids complaining about wearing theirs everywhere they go, but I tell them, "where do you draw the line on safety, kids?" My son usually responds with, "wearing f'ng body armor everywhere we go, dad.... that is where I draw the f'ing line." Kids just don't get it I suppose. They'll learn to fear everything someday, I hope. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
