1. On a .22?  I can dig it.  Wouldn't put that on any of my real rifles though.
 2. I also have a TCP .380 as a pocket pistol.  I was in the market for an LCP, but my mom had recently picked up a TCP so I shot hers.  It was not only comfortable to shoot, but at 5m (15ft) I was able to put a mag inside a 3 inch dot.  Plus I got mine new for $250 w/ 2 mags.  For the price, concealbility and reliability I can't complain about my Taurus.   And I'll add that my Uncle has one of those knockoff Berettas that Taurus makes.  About 15 years ago he was shooting some kind of crap ammo through it and somehow some of the jacketing lodged in the barrel making it unsafe to shoot.  He sent it to Taurus and they replaced the barrel for free, so that gives me confidence that they're a stand up company.    I came by two Taurus .38 snubbys in Iraq and the frames on both of them were cracked and had been repaired by an Iraqi "gunsmith".  I'm assuming the frames cracked because they were shooting ammo out of it that they shouldn't have been shooting.  The cracks ran from the rear of the gun to the cylinder.
 3.   Just give it a few minutes and it will get going again.
 4.   You're right, it has been.  But it's kinda the chicken and the egg thing.  Did the media just decide one day they were going to represent militias as extremist separatists or supremists or did enough militia groups perpetuate that stigma on their own by being full of separatists and supremists?   Other than the State Guard, the closest thing I've seen to a rational organization that closely resembles a militia would be the Oath Keepers with their initiative to set up regional detachments and support cells.  I could get on board with that, but I just worry about becoming involved in a group full of people who say one thing but really mean another... with a wink wink nod nod.  I grew up around such people and they're still close with the family.  They would share many of the same opinions on the government being too large, taxes being too much and the potential for an economic disaster resulting in a period of chaos and lawlessness.  But then they start talking about how gays, blacks and Jews are responsible for all the world's problems.  For some reason, militias seem to attract those types, and that's not the type of people I want to be around if the S actually HTF.
 5. The best part of this thread was Bersaguy not getting the joke.

 8.
We would not want any backwoods militias around here!!
Backwoods militias are what made this country and would be great to have in every community in every state. Unfortunately, since people in general are fascist creatures, current day militias often require members to prescribe to belief structures that idealize specific social standards rather than focus on the Constitution and the basic principles of liberty. Otherwise I would be very active in a community militia. I'm not gonna go out and train with willfully ignorant people who believe 9/11 was perpetrated by the government and darkies are responsible for all the woes of our society. 9.   Ha, knowledge will never defeat ignorance.  Reason being is that facts can be proven and disproven while theories and assumptions cannot.
 10. From the article:   "Caucasians brought them to America," Hoffman, the bill's primary Senate sponsor, said Thursday. "Should we call them `Caucasian carp?' They have names. Let's call them what they are."     Haha, I love the logic.  I honestly don't care what they call them, but the argument above is silly.  They're a carp from Asia.  Therefore: Asian Carp.  How is that offensive?  Saying that it could be called caucasian carp because white people brought it here is pretty funny when you consider that white people also brought black people into this country via the slave trade.  I don't hear anyone saying that calling them "African-American" is offensive.
 11.   Haha, didn't you read my post?

 13.
I missed this post earlier. The Thunderdome was the nickname for the arena they used in St Pete. The Tampa arena was Ice Palace, then St. Pete times forum and now the Tampa Bay times forum. I just always called it the Ice Palace. Was lucky enough to see game 5 of the 2004 Stanley Cup there. Talk about exciting.
I was in Iraq during that time, but was able to watch most of the games, to include game 7, on AFN. One of the best Finals series I've ever seen. I still have my Lightning Champs hat. Also still have one from when I was younger and have Brian Bradley and Jablonski's autograph on the brim. I bet that place was goin nuts during that game! 14.
Y'all don't believe we went to the moon either, right? - OS
The moon doesn't actually exist, so the moon landing was fake by default. Prove me wrong. You aren't allowed to use logic, science or reference historical precedence either, as I'm ignorant of all that stuff so I'll just ignore that and lump that information into the same category as the vast conspiracy I believe in. Now, considering the above parameters, how would you go about proving me wrong? Exactly. So I win. Where's my prize? It's a conspiracy perpetrated by the military industrial complex (Boeing) to secure contracts through NASA for moon exploration. They controlled JFK's mind, as JFK was the original Manchurian Candidate, with his WWII exploits being completely set up by the military industrial complex as they saw the lucrative opportunity of having a President who would commission initiatives like space exploration, thus making them all filthy rich. I could go into more detail, but I don't have enough time to explain how this all ties into the involvement of the alien Lizard People, but most of you probably already know about Lizard People and the threat they pose our species... I mean, if you're not sheeple that is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
This thread has already gone way off track with too many unprofessional and inappropriate comments so I'm hoping this post (my last in this thread) might help to bring it back on track.
I apologize for that. Thank you for offering your expertise. Surely there are people here who will benefit from that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 17.
I've been looking for information to verify that. Do you have a link to any? The Wikipedia info suggests it should be pretty good everywhere.
Trust me, if you are conus trying to use iridium devices you may have spotty service. I recall waiting 45 mins to send a short data burst via iridium before I had coverage. In the Middle East coverage was way better. I'm working from an ipad, but on my home computer I had saved the link for iridium coverage. I just don't use it anymore. I'm sure if you google you can find it. It shows position of the satellites and coverage areas up to date. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

 19.
Nah, they have them in polar orbits. Though I may be thinking of the GPS sats. (Nope. GPS are distributed uniformly) Hmm. What I'm reading about Iridium doesn't really back that idea either. I wonder what I was remembering.
There is a website which tracks the iridium satellite architecture. I remember having to check it when making a phone call so I knew I had enough time. Coverage is dependent on where you are in the world. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 20. This is kind of a side topic, but one thing that has irritated me more about this issue beyond the incompetence and misinformation of the Malaysian government or the wild speculation from the media, is the rabid way the media has been in the face of the victims' families.  Just disgusting that the press will crowd and hound grieving people up to within inches of their face to get their emotional pictures to peddle.  Disgusting anyone within that profession who engages in that.  I don't like turning on the TV and seeing those vultures feeding on the grief of those people.
Or you could take your "Billy-Badass" issues up with a therapist, listen skippy your problems are YOUR problems, it'd be a mistake to make any attempt to make them MY problem, especially by initiating any sort of physical confrontation with me, are we clear?
Okay guy. 22.
You might want to take a chill pill rather than threatening people here who disagree with you. You will find this forum to be much more enjoyable. That, and RichardR isn't the only one here who isn't agreeing with your posts in this thread.
Disagreements are fine. Making inflammatory posts which seek only to start trouble is different. This guy took two words from a post, then made a series of ridiculous, inflammatory suppositions from that for no other reason than to run his mouth. That is different. He has done it before because he is a child and likes to get personal to the point of insulting family members. And I'd like to see where there are threats. Please, point them out. Threats would be telling someone I'm going to kick the crap out of them. I've instead invited him the opportunity to run his mouth at a gym which houses a ring and third party so he don't get hurt so bad. I fight good friends all the time just for physical exercise. I don't see how fighting an Internet badass would be different or uncalled for. Anyway, the invitation remains open. No one should be running their mouth here saying crap they wouldn't say to someone in person. That shows the mark of a yellow coward. No way in hell this guy would keep running his suck like that if we were in the same room. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 23. The appropriate response here would be you saying, "I'm sorry for being a yellow cunt and running my mouth." Or you could say, "yes, let us put on gloves and do an honorable session of combatives training." Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 24.
It'd be unwise to become a "blip" on my radar, go punch a wall or something & get it out of your system. Then log back in & discuss things like an adult, appologies to the OP for this distraction, some folks take entarwebz-stuff way to personally.
No, your issue is you talk in a manner here that you wouldn't do so to someone's face. That would make you a sorry coward. I'm giving you the opportunity to show that I misunderstand you being so yellow. I was responding genuinely to a post. You decided to take two words from that post and design a scenario that was ridiculous, then make fun of me for the ridiculous scenario you painted... something about running to bunkers and whatnot. You clearly like to run your cunt mouth. Prove me I'm wrong. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 25. Otherwise, I'd be glad to meet you for a PT session and let it be handled in a fair and honorable way. I'd love to give you the opportunity to run your mouth in person the way you like to run it here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
