I think she's a good role model for young girls, especially when you consider the Lindsey Lohans and twerking Montanas of that market. I like any role model for girls that isn't defining herself by her sexuality, whorishness or dependency on drugs and alcohol. As for her music, it blows. Of course, I know every word to every song featured on Sofia the First and Frozen, so I suppose if my daughter was old enough I'd know all the Taylor Swift songs and would be happy for it; could be a lot worse. As for her looks, I don't suppose I care much, since she is practically a baby, but she is a gorgeous woman. I just don't understand all the dudes that find her so sexually appealing. She has the body of a bulimic Ethiopian. With all that money she could afford a few extra meals in her diet. But really, the idea of being intimate with someone her age sounds like more trouble than it's worth. I was annoyed by chicks her age when I was that age. Can't imagine it has gotten much better. Perhaps that is just a mental block for me which prevents certain objects of desire from being batch material. Felt the same way about Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie when they we the big thing going. Hard to find them hot after you hear them talk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Firearms agitator still waiting to fight gun charge (Embody case)
He’s attempting to lay the groundwork to show a loss for his civil suit if they drop charges.
True. Next he'll be going to a public playground wearing a flesh colored speedo and a light coat of oil while covering Blondie songs. There's no law on the books against that, but it'll probably land him in jail and give him ammo for another failed lawsuit. Lord knows he needs another cause to highjack.
FTFY. :) But it also says this...
Negative, I was referring to the crosswalks which are randomly located along the strip, not at intersections. There are only one or two road intersections along that strip, but there are several dozen crosswalks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gotta kick out of this video. Funny how folks interpret things so differently. I would assume this is the safest movie theater to be on the planet, while other folks wouldn't even sit down. http://blog.petflow.com/couple-walks-into-theater-and-gets-a-terrifying-shock-what-happens-next-gave-me-goosebumps/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Firearms agitator still waiting to fight gun charge (Embody case)

He's whining about this having a negative impact on his livelihood and finances, yet this is exactly what he set out to do. This guy thrives on the drama of making his life hard. His pathetic life is going to culminate with him pulling one of these stunts and getting shot by an armed citizen or police. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Also keep in mind at those crosswalks in Gatlinburg, vehicles are supposed to yield to pedestrians. The guy may have been right to be upset if the crosswalk was being blown through. Of course, that doesn't excuse threatening someone with a deadly weapon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks neato, but I don't see the draw of spending extra to fit three more rounds into a 500 and having a large albatross of a box mag sticking out. Nope, doesn't make sense. My 500 holds 7 in the tube and I can store it loaded a lot easier than something with an awkward 10 round box mag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I consider myself a good judge of character, however, recently I placed my faith in several seemingly good people and did some very big favors, only to be screwed hard by those people. Adding insult to injury would be several other events occurring over the past few weeks in which I had no control over and had depend on folks to do the right thing, only to be let down big time and suffer the negative consequences. Understandably, I have been pretty upset, and have rapidly expanded a few peoples' vocabulary and tossed a few nuke rounds in recent days. The end result was making a pact with myself that I will never, ever put myself out there for a stranger again, nor will I trust anyone who is not verified. Up until now, I've used my keen sense of a person's character to determine who is worthy of my trust. Now I've resolved that close friends and family are the only folks who deserve it. Then yesterday, a series of unforeseen events unfolded at exactly the wrong time, which seems to be a trend this month. I found myself in a catastrophic situation in a place far from home and far from those I depend on, and I required immediate assistance from a stranger. Much to their inconvenience and potential hazard, a good person stepped in and gave me a hand. It was something they didn't have to do and could have easily gone past, but they didn't. What bothers me today is that I never had the opportunity to thank this person, due to the circumstances. I wish I could thank him for not only his help, but also for restoring my faith in people. If not for this person I would have been in a very bad situation which would have become much worse. Afterward, I thought about if this person didn't exist and no one came to my aid. We live in a society of growing indifference to our fellow man, and I believe my recent declaration has made me part of the problem. If roles had been reversed, would I have done the same thing? Before, absolutely. Now, not so much. So I'm recanting the pact I made, and I owe some serious karma to my fellow man, even if it means assuming risk. If I get screwed, I'm gonna be okay with that. We shouldn't let those that would take advantage of us change who we are, or stop us from doing the right thing. I know I'm more cynical and callous than the vast majority of society, but I'm not gonna let that affect my decision making. Now that I'm finally home with my wonderful wife and kids, the unbridled rage that I've had toward those that effed me doesn't seem to burn hot anymore. The only things I want to remember about the past few weeks are the people who helped me, and why that is more important than the people who screwed me. Sorry for being so vague, but I didn't want to type a seemingly endless bitch session about all the wrongs in my world. I hope this helps a few folks out who have lost faith in people, and I hope there are a few others who will find inspiration to perpetrate some random acts of kindness.
Nobody has mentioned this, but in court I imagine the height of the vehicle would come into play. It would be very difficult for a person in a wheelchair to injure someone in an F-250, but a Corolla would put them at eye level, especially dangerous if traffic isn't moving.
Until they stand up. Lotta folks in wheelchairs who can walk just fine. Seeing someone in a wheelchair armed with a bat should be no different than someone on two legs. I'm not just going to assume they can't walk.
Agreed with others. He had the vehicle as protection and, I am assuming, an aggressor who probably would have trouble standing up and fighting. Driving away (even as the aggressor is swinging) is the smart move. There undoubtedly would be people who would have a hard time believing that shooting was necessary.
Take into consideration that driving away wasn't an option due to traffic and the lack of side streets to turn on. Anyone who has been in peak traffic in Gatlinburg knows what I'm talking about. At those intersections you're gonna be stuck for awhile. Also take into consideration that people aren't just worried about their own safety. If I had encountered this idiot I would have found it amusing. Probably would have been on the phone with the police with the quickness. However, if my wife and kids were in the vehicle, we are talking about a different story entirely. I can deal with getting hit with a bat by a weak fatty in a hover round. My wife and children can't. Windows aren't made of armor. So consider that the situation may be the victim being trapped in his vehicle with no escape, in fear of great bodily harm for his young children and wife. I realize that the law says death or great bodily injury. Having been in the military I default to "life, limb or eyesight". I consider eyesight to be in the category of great bodily injury. If a man intends to smash out my windows with my two year old little girl on the other side of that window, I will not hesitate to end his existence on this earth. Stuff like this is never black and white. There is a possibility that deadly force would have been justified if the idiot on the scooter took it to the next level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Even though this guy had a ball bat and Greg had a gun could Greg have repelled deadly force? Not from the car as he could drive away. Just glad things turned out OK for all involved.
Depending on the time of day/year, you ain't driving anywhere quickly in downtown Gatlinburg. You are pretty much trapped in traffic. Surprised there weren't any cops around. Every time I go to Gatlinburg there are cops on nearly every street corner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think the terminology is very subjective, and depends on where you live and the culture of your community. I remember dating a girl in high school who considered my family rich because we had a new house built. Not a big house, mind you. Just a house. This was a step up from the double wide we lived in. My parents saved for 15 years to get that property and house. But we were considered well off because we didn't live in the trailer park anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I dropped mine from about 12 ft yesterday onto concrete. The button seized up and I couldn't close it. Gave it a few good palm strikes and now it's working again. Fires about as fast as my benchmade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I have friends and former colleagues who have been published in the major gun mags and websites. Some operate their own part time shooting schools. I may see them on Fox News as an expert for the field they work in. However, if they came one here, even as a friend of mine, I'd still inform them that it is not proper to sell their wares unless they're a benefactor. The fact this guy has done it here before, been called out on it and refused to acknowledge my accusation shows his level of character. I don't much care what credentials he has next to his name. Hell, isn't our president a constitutional lawyer? What further pissed me off was him misrepresenting a case that occurred in my community. He brought it up to bring up his seminars, but the fact that he is arguing that this case has bearing on legally armed Tennesseans is beyond ridiculous, and it makes him lose all credibility in my eyes. Dude is a bulls*** artist. Just because he can talk well and sell his brand to the masses doesn't mean he knows better than you or I. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Care to elaborate?
He came here under false pretenses. He claims his goal is only to educate and discuss, yet he marks each post as a representative of a business and has made mention of his book, seminars or both in every thread he's started. When confronted he has ignored the accusation and instead focused on cherry picked statements in order to divert attention. This is transparent to most folks with an eye for bull***t artists. He is one of them. If he had come here to discuss or share his knowledge, he would do so as a member. Instead, he is coming here as a BUSINESS. Big difference. If any gun store, trainer or lawyer came here talking about their products and WAS NOT a vendor, they'd be lit up. I don't believe this guy should get a pass just because he's an experienced, slick tongued con man. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
