We were there from 2001 till when; last year? If we didn't fix anything in that amount of time, what makes you think going back will make any difference? When Bush was president, you'll likely remember the nightly national news on all 3 networks began their broadcast with a daily death toll of our forces in Iraq; EVERY NIGHT. Today, they seem to be cheerleading attacks there. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in what is shown on the news.
We invaded in the spring if 2003. The war pretty much was done by late 2009 for most troops. I don't condone sending troops in, but I support bombing ISIS non-stop until they stay away from the Kurds, Christians and Yazidis. What is happening right now is beyond comprehension, and whether we have a hand in causing this destabilization or not, we have a moral obligation as human beings with the means to save innocent lives. No one will stand up for the Christians and Yazidis being slaughtered in northern Iraq. They are on their own. We can easily stop the advance of Isis with easy peasy airstrikes. I can think of no good reason to not use our assets to stop the slaughter. We have little to lose and so much innocent life to save. When I was wearing a uniform, these were the type of people and situations I was more than willing to risk my life for.

How do you park in there in the middle of the night? The gates automatically shut at dark. Plus, story sounds fishy. Things don't add up. I know that it is politically incorrect to ever doubt a rape allegation, but I don't let society pressure override common sense. There is a lot more to the story.

They've been the only force that has held back ISIS and mounted successful offensives. They're trying to hold what they got though. I don't see them sticking their neck out for the Yazidis.
Ok and I thank all of you for your replies. The reason for my asking this question was because a buddy of mine said he would never carry a DA/SA because of that first long trigger pull. I carry my Bersa with it is double action mode with hammer down and all safety's in fire mode. That way if I need to react to a situation I can react in one smooth move when I would need to fire first round, Yes it would be a long trigger pull for first round. But if I pull my self defense weapon it will be to most likely defend myself or another person from a life threatening danger and with the rush of adrenalin at that point the long trigger pull will seem like a split second before the gun discharges the first round. How many feel that my thoughts are or may be correct? In a life threatening situation when Adrenalin is rushing through your body will that long trigger pull make a difference at that point is my question? My thought is no but always like to hear other opinions. ..........................
Why not striker fired then. It does the same thing that you're saying, only the trigger pull is the same each time. I'm either a SA pistol or striker pistol carrier. Only difference between the two is I have to manipulate the safety on my 1911, otherwise the trigger pull is consistent each time. That is necessary for accuracy and muscle memory, especially for people who can only make it to the range every once and a while.
Unless those rules are irrational, or it is obvious that I am disobeying it. I think the homeowners would have noticed if I had walked into the study group with a loaded shotgun and would have said something. I had a concealed handgun, so no one was the wiser. I had to weigh the options, me with a gun, combat experience, and multiple training courses vs some liberals with none and no guns, so I picked myself. I could see asking someone to leave who was acting in a dangerous manner, obviously. But as for self defense, since it's my life, I have to choose to follow the best option for myself, and it is irrelevant what a business owner thinks in that regard. Just because someone is rich and owns the company I work for, doesn't give them the right to tell me every single manner in relation to everything. They can dictate rules on how the job is done, that's it. Otherwise people are in danger of losing freedom and becoming slaves to the employer. Anyways, guess we will just have to disagree on this. Yeah, if someone comes on your property that is a danger to you or your family, in an obvious manner, yeah, you gotta take care of that. If someone asks me to leave, I will, for whatever reason. That part doesn't bother me. I just have an issue with private property owners having absolute rights, that is like feudalism in the middle ages, and something the constitution was against.
This all makes sense if you're a communist that doesn't believe in personal liberty. I strongly believe in personal liberty, so long as the liberty you take is not infringing on someone else's.
I think weed is only active in urine for up to a month. I don't smoke anymore, but I'm thin and athletic, and drink tons of water. I can pass one in a week. I have long hair now though. Not sure I agree with a drug test for a job. If someone wants to smoke on their day off, not the companies business. All the smokers I know are responsible and don't smoke on the job.
THC can stay in your fat cells for quite a while, especially for overweight people who smoke a lot. That said, a company can and should be allowed to hire or not based on a person's recreational use of drugs. It's their company. Folks who take issue with that don't have to work there. The onus isn't on a private business to be accommodating to the employee. The employee can look elsewhere for work just like the employer can look elsewhere for workers.
I didn't think it had been that long since I took one. We used to pee in a cup back in the old days. You know, five years ago.
Depends on the company. Whiz quizzes only go back a couple months tops for weed and a lot less for harder drugs. Hair samples go a lot further. I did a follicle test for a job 4 years ago, and since my hair was so short they shaved a portion of my chest. Yes, my wife made fun of me, then made fun of me some more when I evened it out by shaving the rest.

Jesse Ventura Sues Wife of Slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle

Having been to Gatlinburg a bunch of times, I've noticed at the crosswalks people will just step right on out and expect that traffic will stop. Ideally, that is what should happen, but some folks will walk parallel to the road and suddenly make a 90 degree turn at a crosswalk without warning or indication that the are crossing. I think it's a 20 mph through there, but I go a little slower after seeing this a few times.
Again, we've all lost our temper and done things we regret... I'm just saying that if everything Chris Kyle said on TV was true... he was just as big of a dbag as JV is.
Maybe, but he was a SEAL. I sure don't carry water for those guys. There are plenty of douchebag SEALs who are up their own ass. Thing is, the type of people who occupy these meat eater jobs are also the type of guys who will shut down a person who is running their mouth, especially if that person is a fellow member of that community. That isn't odd at all. For Jesse Ventura to sue this guy and keep the lawsuit going after his death is beyond douchey. Everyone already knows JV sucks. If he is so worried about his image then why is he doing this? Now he is the most hated D-list celebrity there is. All he did was take money from a grieving widow. He sucks. -
Is it not disrespectful to tell your husband that he must comply with what you want, and then hold some part of your relationship over his head if he does not comply? There are MANY studies out there that show that the average woman believes that her wants and desires in a relationship are FAR more important than her mates. I simply refuse to abide this. If that makes me a dick, then you're entitled to that opinion. All I ask for is a fair and equitable relationship. I do not complain when she buys her 56th pair of high heals, or blows 250 on make up, or trades her car in at two years old because she is bored with it. I accept that that is part of who she is, and move on. In return I demand that I get the same consideration when I buy a part for my bike, ammo, reloading components, or a new gun. Bottom line is, I demand equality, nothing more, or less. Allowing your lady to dictate to you, instead of discuss with you, is being pussy whipped, that is my opinion, and I too am entitled to have it.
Well I don't suppose my wife would ever use sex as a tool to control me or get her way, but I can damn sure bet that if I told her to shut the f*** up, she would not be sleeping with me. I wouldn't want to be intimate with her either, if that is how she talked to me. Who would want to sleep with someone who is a total ahole to them? Maybe I'm crazy here, but decisions to make large purchases are discussed between both members of the marriage in my house. Sure, I might nickel and dime a few guns together, just like I'm sure she nickel and dimes clothes and girl stuff. But if she was to drop a few grand getting herself a gift, I would probably have something to say and vice versa. If the reaction to that is stfu or gtfo, that isn't a person I would want to be with, and surely isn't the person I married nor did she. It just isn't right to treat someone you love and respect like that. Maybe we're just different? I wouldn't want it the other way. Sounds like a life of resentment.
I'm sorry, but I'm going to come to JV's defense here... Even if you put Chris's statements in the best possible light.... He was bragging about a 30 year old beating the snot out of a 60 year old man in a bar fight, over words. And then goes on multiple national news programs and brags about it. I don't know about you... but if I as a 30 year old just lost my temper to the point I beat on an old man in a bar fight, over something the old man said.... I wouldn't go around bragging about it on national TV, I'd be too ashamed of myself. Sure seems there might be two douche-bags in this story, not just one.
JV isn't exactly a feeble old man. Plenty of 60 year olds are an even match for a 30 year old. When I was 30 and my grandpa was 75, I'm pretty sure he could still whoop me. Not to mention JV was running his suck. No matter how big or small he was, he needed punching. He sure doesn't deserve 2 million dollars for it. Here's hoping he spends some of that money on an African Safari, and happens to come by a herd of aggressively horny male rhinos with a necro fetish. -
my life is far from awesome, do you really think i want to live with my grandparents? HELL NO! i want a job where i can afford to get my own place, but guess what that has not happend yet not only that my fiancee is leaving and oh you will all be happy to know my grandparents are sell the house in another month and i will be homeless so thats a good thing, i am trying the best i can to make the best of a bad situation, do i play games yes and no look up second life, i have a store where i sell 3d objects and make just barely enough to pay on my car loan, if anyone here wants to demonize my mistakes have at it, cause i dont care, i came here asking advice on one thing, got advice for another and had everything i say takin out of context, im done lock the thread, delete it, burn it whatever, im done
Bud, when I was 18 I was on my own with a full time and part time job while going to school full time. It wasn't easy, but I supported myself and have never asked to borrow a dime from my parents. Not saying that I might have never been in a situation where I needed help, but if I had found myself back on my parents' couch I'd be spending every waking hour working to move out. I know things are tough out there, but I'm continuously baffled by people who go long periods of time as unemployed and blame it on the job market. I've been employed since I was 15. I've had to work some crappy jobs to cover the interim, but at least I was pulling down a paycheck while looking for something better. The only thing standing in the way if your financial independence is you. Accept that you might have to make minimum wage and work two jobs for a bit. That's part of being a man; supporting yourself. You're 27. Sack up and be a man, or admit that you don't have what it takes to be a grown up.

Of course, I'd end the relationship by giving her the fish eye.

Anyone who says you need to "fight to keep them" should be discarded immediately. Never, ever fight to "win" or "keep" a lady. If she doesn't think you're good enough for her, than she is definitely not relationship material. It will end badly eventually once you stop living up to her expectations. Girls seem to be raised to think that the onus is on the man to achieve some level of worthiness to win a relationship. That is a materialistic view of how a relationship should work. A relationship should be built on a foundation of mutual love and respect. The second a person says they deserve better, help them out and set them free.
Just because she says that, doesnt mean thats the choice I must make. Im up front with every woman Ive ever had a relationship with. I like sex, a lot, if you ever lose interest, dont want it, cant do it, or god forbid try to use it as a weapon to get what you want, i will find it elsewhere. Mind you I am not a cheat or a man whore by nature. But, I will not have it held over my head either.
So, how's the single life? I've been off the market for so long after I found a good lady who I would never dream if cursing at, so I'm always curious about what I'm missing out on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
