  1. There must be more to this story. I can't believe the ATF would move forward with this based on the history of the "witnesses".
  2. Yeah, I guess I'm going back to the ATF website to study up. I thought you needed to clear suppressors, sbr, sbs, machineguns when crossing state lines. I don't own a suppressor but thought it was in the same category. I guess if I pick one up I'll be more educated on the subject.
  3. That may be the reason he's waiting until January to do this.
  4. The other day a guy thought it was his right to have sex with a dog. The law stepped in and said that it was not his right. Stupid law.
  5. True. Maybe I've just lost all hope in people's ability to form reasonable opinions on their own.
  6. These people have just as much a right to own firearms as me.... no wonder liberals are so scared.
  7. What's even more sad is if the father of this lady victim was to assault this attacker upon his release he would be crucified by the DA and spend more time in jail than this piece of garbage.
  8. Sounds to me like you read it before.
  9. It just sounds to me like the business and the self-defense shooter shouldn't have any legal troubles unless the shooter was operating as an armed guard without licensing to do so. For example, if I open a convenience store and hire an employee who asks if he can carry for self-defense I can allow that without violating any law. Now, if I hire that employee under the condition that possessing a firearm on duty is a part of the job description then I would need to satisfy certain licensing requirements, yes?
  10. I agree with Constitutional carry for Tennessee, but I just don't think that our elected officials are willing to put themselves out there to promote it due to the panicked masses who allow themselves to be manipulated by the culture of gun fear the media has created. Those panicked masses vote too and I think they outnumber us.
  11. My buddy has one with the 20 inch barrel. He loves it; claims he gets sub moa groups at 100m in light to no wind conditions. I've wanted one for a while now but haven't picked one up because I'll end up getting a scope that costs more than the weapon. I don't think you'll have any issues hitting anything out to 500m so long as you know how to call wind.
  12. It doesn't look as if those words there are mixed. You said them and they were directed at me. It very clearly states that " another gun owner who puts money above human rights." It's not easy to take your words out of context. You made a generalization about my nature based on my opinions on the rights of property owners. That is not a debate at all about the issue, that is an insult.
  13. Well man, I don't think I did anything to provoke such a statement from you which generalizes that I hold money above human rights. Gun ownership isn't the only right I believe in. I also believe in property rights, such as on my property I can kick off anyone I want and I don't need a reason, but if that reason is because you are exercising your 1st, 2nd Amendment Rights I can do that. You don't have the right to keep and bear arms on MY PROPERTY if I say otherwise. Making generalities about me (unprovoked) which suggest I put money above all basic rights is an uneducated, stupid thing to say. I don't think it's something you would say to someone if you weren't behind a keyboard.
  14. Sorry, but that's reality. Your rights don't put food on my family's table. If I want to open a business and only allow people in who are wearing clown shoes and a red foam nose I can make that call. There are restaurants that don't allow children under a certain age because it's distracting to other patrons. Does that violate my rights to feed my kids? If someone thinks they'll lose money because someone is OC'ing at their establishment it would be STUPID to caiter to the needs of the OC'er over the general PAYING customer base. I don't have an MBA but I think those that do would agree with me. Businesses don't exist to be activists; they exist to make money. You also have the right to free speech and religion. Do you think the mall would be infringing on your rights if you walked in there and started giving a sermon from the Book of Mormon and they told you to leave? It's private property bud.
  15. I think what he's trying to say is that the mall owners are trying to have their cake and eat it too. They purposely don't legally post so that HCP holders can legally carry and patronize their mall. At the same time, they are caitering to the panicked masses by saying that their mall is "gun free". I personally don't think that a business should have to be pro-gun or not. If I owned my own business I would be pro-money and that's it. My personal beliefs shouldn't have to matter; the only thing that matters is generating revenue. If an environment existed where patrons would not visit my establishment because of fear of the guy who's walking around OC'ing, guess what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna make a rule so that everyone is happy and I can get money from all parties.
  16. Right, I saw someone post a comment regarding not having a HCP. I'm not familiar with the security guard licensing requirements, but if the guy was a dishwasher covering down on door duty (which is common at some places) I would think that enough grey area would exist to keep the person firing in self defense and the business out of legal trouble.
  17. from Facebook: "To the tactical short bus!"
  18. 1. Get very rich. 2. Buy the media. 3. Tell people what their opinions are. Bottom line, changing public perception on a grand scale is impossible with the news media being so biased against firearms. People are so bombarded by stories of gangland and school shootings that it isn't such a big leap for them to think that it's the firearms that cause the problem, not the perpetrators or the manner in which they acquired their weapons. The people who are able to interpret that information and develop rational opinions are people that have been around firearms their whole life and aren't scared by them. I hate being doom and gloom, but we can't make people be educated or comfortable with firearms, especially people who have no desire to do so.
  19. Well do you even need a HCP if you are carrying at a private business that allows for you to carry? For example, every gun shop I go into all the employees are carrying. If I worked at a business that allowed carrying of weapons for safety (liquor store/stop and rob/gun shop) would I even need a HCP since I have the permission of the property owner?
  20. Identify a threat before engaging it. I guess if you don't have any family in your house it's safe to assume anyone inside your house is a threat, however, just because you would probably be cleared of wrongdoing if it was a bad shoot, you would still have to live with your actions.
  21. I thought you were supposed to shoot the hostage. Am I the only one that's ever watched Speed??
  22. We carved our jack o lanterns with the kids today. Last year some a-hole kids smashed them in the street the night before Halloween, so this year my son's pumpkin was outfitted with a pyro anti-tamper device in order to notify me of the criminal activity as well as scare the sh#t outa the vandalizers.
  23. Arrested for shrooms? "Officer, these are for culinary purposes only... saw it on Racheal Ray."
