  1. Yep. The only thing I hope doesn't happen is the whole "hate crime" approach which is the route they take in cases like this. I think Zimmerman has every right to be a racist, but that shouldn't be a crime, only motive for initiating the confrontation.
  2. I'm sorry, but if someone is harassing me I don't have to be polite, especially if that person has been stalking me for blocks. Too bad the kid wasn't old enough to carry a gun to protect himself from racist neighborhood watch nazis or else this story might have had a happy ending; a citizen defending themselves from an armed aggressor. Isn't that why we carry to be able to defend ourselves so we may continue to live? You don't get to start a fight with someone then shoot them when they fight back, which is what your posts suggests. And Zimmerman did chase him down; listen to the 911 call. He got out of his vehicle. I see strangers in my neighborhood all the time. I guess according to your logic I should start confronting them... it would be a good opportunity to see how well my .45 hydroshocks work. Only a matter of time before one of them is provoked enough to justify me shooting them, right?
  3. If someone follows me for blocks and then suddenly gets out of their car to confront me on what I'm doing I'm going to tell them to f*ck off. If that person continues I'm going to defend myself. How does that give them the right to shoot me? Zimmerman made his intent clear on the call. It turns out the young man was evading him because he thought he was being stalked (gee he was right according to Zimmerman's own recorded conversation). If someone decides to stalk me and then get physical I'm gonna beat the sh*t out of them. How does that justify him shooting? I guess I should just go around harassing people until someone puts up a fight, then shoot them because I'm getting my a$$ kicked. You have to be kidding me!!!!!!
  4. There just must be something significant that we don't know about for them to be cleared. If this was swept under the rug then that department has just left the civil lawsuit gate wide open if either of these officers does something really bad in the future. There's just gotta be some info we don't know if there have been this many eyes on this from different departments and the DA. If this was swept under the rug that's a pretty big gamble for the Chief to make. The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior, and if this was a case of a hotheaded cop you can bet it won't be the last incident.
  5. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt until I found out that they never bothered to interview the young man's girlfriend who was on the phone with him during the confrontation. That makes her a very important witness. Now that the feds are involved her statement is relevant. It doesn't take a Columbo to determine that a statement from her would be pivotal in the investigation.
  6. Yeah, that's the same chick; she was a cargo pilot. Although I thought she had a suppressed 9mm, not a .22.
  7. Have I ever said this guy doesn't deserve a trial? Sure he does, but I won't be on the jury and I think he's guilty. I'm not getting bent out of shape by anything other than you saying I shouldn't be able to judge this guy; well I ain't. My opinion has no legal bearing. If you want to disagree good for you, but don't get pissy about me HAVING an opinion in the first place. The facts are clear enough that I think he's guilty. Read the transcripts of his own words. I did. It wasn't until then that formed my opinion.
  8. Seems like a pretty reasonable assumption to me. I heard about this story before it broke nationally. There weren't many facts other than the young man wasn't armed. I figured there was more to the story; the kid was probably up to no good or something like that. Then it broke nationally and the 911 transcripts came out. At that point the intent of Zimmerman became clear. Now paired with the new evidence of the girlfriend listening to the whole incident it is beyond clear what transpired. This guy will soon know the racial utopia that is the Florida prison system.
  9. The latest information is that the young man was on the phone with his girlfriend during this whole in incident; cell phone records verify such. She claims that the young man had told her that a strange man was following him and he attempted to lose him on the way home. She is just now being interviewed. ABC has the tape of her interview. It sounds that when the young man tried to lose him Zimmerman exited his car to track him down. The girlfriend said she could hear Zimmerman confront him. A scuffle ensued and that's where I'm guessing Zimmerman got scuffed up. Sounds like the kid was defending himself from an attacker. That attacker was probably losing and then felt justified in shooting an unarmed young man who he initiated confrontation with. I think OJ killed his wife, Casey Anthony killed her child, Michael Jackson raped little boys, and Josh Powell killed his wife. I can say that since I'm not on a jury and I'm not a judge. It is unreasonable to think that most people don't reserve judgement for those involved in such incidents where guilt is likely. If I had to be on a jury I wouldn't be so quick to judge, but I'm not. So I think this walking wag-bag is guilty as sin. If you disagree then great. If you think I shouldn't form my opinions you can respectfully piss off.
  10. Don't like what reasoning? I think Zimmerman thought the boy was suspicious because he was black, as is evident by his comments on the transcript. I think he murdered him because he is trigger happy and a wanna be, and perhaps the young man attempted to defend himself from Zimmerman's aggressive actions.... Such as stalking him for blocks, getting out of his car and confronting him. If that had been any of us we would respond to such action with force.
  11. Being Hispanic or any other decent other than European doesn't mean you can't be racist by default.
  12. Not what I was referring to; read the transcripts of the 911 call. Robert made it clear that 17 year olds murder and therefore that somehow justifies Zimmerman intervening.
  13. So then it's okay to hassle every 17 year old kid that looks suspicious and then shoot them when they fight back? Got it. So glad I was born white so good honest folks don't immediately assume I'm up to no good when they see me walkin around.
  14. So then why the comments on his parents? What bearing do other cases have on this one that would make you believe that this young man was anything BUT a good kid? What could this young man be doing on a public sidewalk only yards from his house that was so criminal that Zimmerman had to intervene before the police arrived? Loitering? Jaywalking? Wearing white after labor day? If he had waited the police would have simply questioned the teen and found out his dad lives there. That would have been the end of it. Instead the young man is dead. I don't have to worry about guilty or innocent on this guy. I'm not a representative of the government nor am I going to be sitting on a jury in Sanford. This guy took a young man's life because he was trigger happy. He will be convicted of some form of homicide and I hope some good 'ol prison justice permanently solves this problem in the end. No kidding, read the transcript of Zimmerman's call from start to finish. It would blow my mind if someone could possibly ignore the obvious.
  15. I think due to the attention given so far to this case is why there hasn't been an arrest and the DA is making sure all ducks are in a row before committing. Anyone wanting insight into this should read the full transcript of the 911 call from Zimmerman. It is clear that he is the aggressor and was warned not to intervene. Meanwhile, this young man has had a suspicious individual following him for several blocks. What would any of us do in that scenario? I know what I would do if some weirdo followed me as I'm just walking home and then confronted me. I would be very aggressive back and be prepared to defend myself. The young man probably did defend himself; too bad he wasn't better armed says me. For those of you more prepared to believe that a young man walking home from the store is a bigger threat than an armed adult who shoots a 17 year old within view of his own friggin house need to look deep on why you are so predisposed to do so.
  16. I would just figure that they would have a better blow out plan than that. Solutions seem simple and low tech. Zombies can't think or adjust their tactics/techniques/procedures. With that knowledge they know they can bait and canalize the enemy and kill it with trauma to the brain, and this can be done safely with the proper amount of standoff. Why not dig a deep/wide trench around an elevated platform, such as the windmill, and use that for bug out? Keep a few spear like objects at the position that can poke zombies in the head and just do that until the herd is dead. I wouldn't want to spend a single round if there is a better way to exterminate them. Why does it always have to be a surprise when they encounter zombies??? These writers f'ing blow when it comes to that part of the show.
  17. I wouldn't sweat it. If you have to fire in self defense you'll be so tuned up that you're not going to consider much other than eliminating the threat. Besides, bums aren't going to take it to the next level when they know there is an unlimited amount of suckers willing to donate money to their habit. If you did have to pull your pistol on one you're gonna see nothing but the dust of them heading in the other direction. I've spent a bit of time in Bum Meccas such as Seattle, Portland and DC. This has given me experience from having several hundred bum encounters. I've learned that being very aggressive in tone, language and body posture will end encounters ricky-tick. They know that they aren't getting anything from me no matter what they say and they get the impression that if they continue I'm likely to bounce their head off the pavement.
  18. "Intent to go armed." There aren't too many places that someone without a HCP would be able to explain having a firearm and ammunition together, but off the top of my head: hunting, gun store, range, gun show and so on. So long as you're doing the right thing and have a reasonable explanation I don't see there being a problem.
  19. Forced to sit in the back of a police car because he was legally transporting firearms from the range? That's akin to being handcuffed, and the officer better have a damn good reason to do that.
  20. If a police officer arrests him for carrying a pistol and his ammunition from his car to the table at the range I promise to pay for his legal defense. This is something that just isn't going to happen.

    Accuracy?

The differences in accuracy don't matter if you're using the pistol for self defense. Some disagree but at 7 meters anyone can accurately engage a man size target with a smooth bore pistol and no sights. Most kids can get 1 inch groupings with a slingshot at that distance. For those folks that like to compete with pistols at distance and have the ability to utilize the pistol's accuracy to its full potential it matters, but there are not many people out there that have the ability to do that. Chances are the gun is more accurate than the shooter.
  22. Well I have been in his boots. Under no circumstances is murdering civilians justifiable. Sometimes civilians get in the crossfire. Sometimes we kinetically target the enemy knowing that civilians are present, which is still legitimate. Killing civilians with the intent to murder is dishonorable and should be a mandatory sentence of death upon conviction. I don't give a damn about his "PTSD" he may or may not have. These days it seems that every POG that turned a wrench and heard an explosion is claiming they see dead people and want some sympathy. Even if this guy was pushed to the edge it excuses nothing. We are all accountable for our actions and I can't think of any reason that would justify killing women and children when not in conduct of an official combat operation. On another note, the Muslim world will always hate us no matter what we do. We could skin this guy alive and feed him to pigs and they would still hate us just as much. We could give him a medal and throw him a friggin parade and they would hate us just as much. The only way to ever appease the Islamic world is to submit to Islamic law, give back the holy lands and face Mecca five times a day. Our actions as a country should never take into account appeasing these people for what they may or may not do. They hate us all; even the apologist freedom haters and even those Muslims that reside within our borders. We're all guilty in their eyes. Whatever happens to this Soldier should be the result of Military law. He shouldn't get off because of some bullsh*t PTSD defense, and he shouldn't be crucified because we worry about what the Muslim world will think of us.
  23. Well there was zero chance of him being turned over. However, it would have been nice if his Court Martial was held in country as they sometimes are. Being that it's a case that will draw lots of attention I'm not surprised they moved it elsewhere.
  24. Just heard on the news that he's already been moved out of country.
