Firearms agitator still waiting to fight gun charge (Embody case)
TMF replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This is nothing but an attempt at intimidation. I want to beat the crap out of this guy. What an f'ing coward to try and scare school kids and parents. I take back what I said earlier. I hope this idiot gets killed. He does not deserve to live. He exists only to terrorize innocent people. When he gets shot I'm going to his grave and taking a dump on it. Well, now I feel better about not paying to take any classes. I just had a piece of paper from the Army that said I knew which end of the barrel the bullet comes out of.

Good to know. I'm not disappointed with my PSA lowers, although I keep building rifles on them for other people because I'm such a nice guy. I've only got two virgin lowers left. Guess I might have to snag up a few of these Anderson ones I keep seeing everywhere.

I need to buy a couple hundred Pmags for the next time everyone loses their mind. I didn't sell any mags in the last craze because I didn't want to be that guy, but if people don't prepare for what's coming up they deserve to get raped on price.
-
That's a good deal unless those are plastic lowers. The reason I buy multiples at a time is to reduce the sting of transfer fees. At 3 x lowers with one transfer fee of $20 + 5 shipping comes out at a pretty decent price per lower, especially when you aren't paying sales tax on it. If I could get a better deal at a LGS on lowers I'd take it. Last time I bought a stripped Spikes at a LGS it was $110 + sales tax. This is before the Great Craze a couple years ago. I order a few stripped lowers every time PSA runs a deal. I bought 3 a while back for $49 each. I'd just standby for the next sale, sign up for email notifications and buy one when they populate. They should be due another sale soon. You can build your pistol on that and walk away with a pretty cheap gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Seen it used in a 1:12. Yep, I came across an M16A2 that someone had put an A1 barrel on, then issued it to a private... in 2009, in Iraq. Green tip don't worky in that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes. Unless they're entering the political arena, famous people should stick to what made them famous rather than believing their opinions are more important that the common man. If Jordan came out and slammed the 2nd Amendment it would be the same to me as if he came out and said anything larger than a 16 Oz soft drink should be banned. I don't think it would take away from him being a positive role model, it would just make him an elitist douche, like Liam Neeson. Of course, I don't believe that actors can be role models, since their only talent is pretending to be people. If anything, actors are nothing more than people who are objectified for their good looks and envied for their fame and fortune. For some reason, my wife has had a thing for Liam Neeson for as long as I can remember. Seemed weird, but hey, whatever works. She thinks I'm weird for having a thing for Carrie Fisher. Whoa! When did Michael Jordan stop being a good role model? I mean, yeah, he sucked playing for the White Sox during the spring training season that one time, but other than that, he seemed like a very positive role model in sports. I got to meet him a couple times. Seems like a genuinely nice guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No kidding. If Jews were armed back then the way they are now, Hitler wouldn't have made it very far. The few Jews who were able to flee to the woods and arm themselves sure caused havoc behind the lines and tied up personnel that would have otherwise been used on one of the two main fronts. But I guess the systematic extermination of 6 million people is faaaaaaar more moral that letting individuals own firearms for the purpose of self defense against criminals and governments. Liberal elites are so far disconnected from reality, their opinions mean absolutely nothing. The opinion of a two-bit crack whore is more relevant.

I see it more as a liability waiver for pants wetters. It makes people who know nothing about gun owners or carriers feel a little safer about you and I carrying a firearm around. I don't think anyone is getting rich on permit classes.

The braces don't look too out of place on an AR, but I'm of the mind that every time an AR buffer tube is mounted on an AK, a kitten dies. I like my AK pistol as a truck gun, but also like the idea as a HD rifle. I backed out of SBRing it because I like the category it falls into as a pistol, which allows me to have it loaded in the truck as well as take into WMAs where handguns are okay but rifles are not. I suppose this brace will solve the issue, but my AK will look like an unnatural demon spawn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, we were looking at the same site. This seems to be the easiest option, just looks blasphemous on an AK. Don't think there is any way around that without a stamp though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How you planning on mounting that? I've seen another company with an adapter that just slips under the pistol grip and butts up against the back of the receiver. I've been thinking about putting a brace on my AK pistol as well, just haven't decided which one looks like less of an abomination. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wouldn't let this stop you from getting a muzzle device that you like. If you don't already have a strap wrench, it would be a good excuse to get one. I use a strap wrench on all my muzzle devices and flash suppressors. No worries about getting little scratches on them with a strap wrench, plus I use it for all kinds of stuff that I hate using wrenches on. Just used one to install two shower heads, then turned around and used it to tighten a castle nut on a virgin lower. They're great and only a few bucks.
With his track record of playing games... exactly what do you think he's going to do that would be legal, yet still give rise to a justified shooting? The guy is coo coo for coca puffs... but he tries really hard not to break the law... I just don't see it happening... I'm somewhat surprised he hasn't moved onto testing 39-17-1308a4 the incident to 'other lawful activity' defense... I think he can carry ammo for the rifle and pistol on his person if he's walking to the shooting range... but there is virtually no case law to be found on that defense... so any attempt would be risky... best case, ignore him, don't give him the attention he craves... and he'll go away.
In the absence of first creating a spectacle where law enforcement are already there, my concern would be if he decides to strap one to his front at the ready and then act like a looney. It's not hard for me to ignore him. But for someone who has no knowledge of this guy, who sees him walk into a business presenting all the signs of an active shooter will end badly. No way around that. I think his recent court case as emboldened him to try to see what he can do to bait law enforcement further without breaking the law. Like I said in an earlier post, strapping road flares to your chest and yelling Allah Akbar is not illegal, per se, but it could very well get you shot. Someone like Lenny would argue that he is just a proud recent convert to Islam and a road flare enthusiast. I mean, this guy walked around with an AK with the barrel tip painted orange. For crying out loud, you don't think he'll do something that a REASONABLE person might interpret as a real threat??? Seriously??? C'mon, you can't possibly believe that if you spend even a moment in critical thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Just remember that DA's can and do get convictions of bad people getting killed... Some guy walking about with a rifle on his back, let alone with the rifle in a case (no matter how stupid the case looks) is not a threat to any reasonable person. As strange as he acts... as annoying as he is... as questionable as his motives are... he never acts in a threatening manner... Remember, it's not a question of if you are in fear for your life... but a question about if a reasonable person would have been in fear of their life... and what reasonable person could ever be afraid of a guy walking around with a rifle slung across his back. As much as nobody likes to admit, he's very careful... I don't see him taking this to the next level in a way that opens himself up to arrest... or at least not serious arrest... it's clear if a DA wanted to pick on him, they could hit him with jaywalking, or disorderly conducted..... but anything more the a minor charge... I don't really see that happening... each time he learns from the situation and refines his operation. IMHO the fact he is now handing out leaflets is a critical change... He's not fishing for 2nd Amendment/4th Amendment violations anymore... he's hoping for a 1st Amendment violation of prior restraint... which traditionally are a lot easier to win. The best thing law enforcement could do with Voldrmort... is completely ignore him... Don't detain him... don't search him... just let him wander around handing out his flyers... IMHO he just wants the attention, take the attention away and he'll find something else to focus on - hopefully having to do with school bus drivers violating the law and not firearms :)
My point is, he is ratcheting up his behavior and he is only going to keep pushing the limits. He might not meet criteria now, especially with law enforcement right there, but if he becomes more bold without the context of LEO escort, I think there is a high probability that he will present himself as a threat to a REASONABLE person. That is the part I'm talking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The AK ones sure seem to, but firing one of the original SlideFire stocks that my uncle has, I was able to keep it on target just fine. The cyclic is probably 100rpm slower than an M4 on full auto (if I had to guess) and it makes it much more manageable. Kinda like the slow cycle on a M45/Swedish K on full auto versus an MP5. As for the video, they put a 100 pound girl in yoga pants who can't even hold the rifle properly to demonstrate their product. If they wanted to show how it could be accurately fired with stability, they would have put a dude on there. I feel pretty insulted by that marketing ploy. If we're going to objectify women to sell men products, at least put them in something low cut so we can see their boobs jiggle.
I'd be predisposed to return a no-bill on that indictment if I was on the grand jury, not that I think it would ever make it to a grand jury. Because of his history, I would expect LE agencies in the area to familiarize their officers with him, but I wouldn't expect the average person to have any idea who this ####nut is. While I really do hate what he is doing, I don't wish harm to come to him. I just expect it to happen eventually. My prior "defense" of him had nothing to do with him or his actions and everything to do with the blatant malfeasance of the government in handling his shenanigans. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Yeah, and is why I don't believe it will be an LEO who shoots him. I'm sure every LEO in mid-TN has been briefed on this idiot. However, the two million or so HCP holders haven't, and when he decides to start slinging his rifle on the front and yelling obscenities in a threatening manner, someone is going to mistake him for an active shooter.
