Now it makes sense.

Walgreens is owned by the same people. I've seen these Neighborhood Walmarts pop up, and they stick them across the road from stores that already have a customer base and rewards systems to maintain those customers. They built one across the road from our Winn-Dixie, but I don't see hardly any cars parked over there by comparison. Just seems like a bad idea from the start, and if I could see that I would think their board could see that. I'm not at all surprised they failed in that endeavor. They should stick to supercenters and try to break into internet sales, like Amazon.

The small Walmart stores they launched a few years ago were just a bad idea. I didn't see those being popular and can't imagine how they could've thought so.

Growing number of police chiefs, sheriffs join call to arms

Grady Judd is a media celebrity down in Florida. While he is a camera whore, he is very vocal against criminals and for the right to keep and bear arms. The liberals just hate him. -
I remember hearing that Die Hard was his first movie role. Man did he kill it in that movie. Die Hard remains the best 80s action movie ever made, plus it doubles as a Christmas movie.

I was listening to Gwar the other day, and couldn't help but notice it sounded like Strongbad with Teen Girl Squad as backup.

Let it get ugly. They elected their leaders and they deserve what they get as a result. Hopefully the American people take note. Europe will be torn apart by this long before we are.

It's just been so quiet around here for a while. I think the site has successfully purged all evil doers. There is no other gun forum like this one.

I'll admit that the movie was quite indulgent, but that's the way it's supposed to be. How do you one up the previous movie which had Tina Turner and Master Blaster? F'ing flaming metal guitars, that's how.

I have yet to meet a professional person working for the TSA. I'm sure they exist, but I've never met one, and I fly regularly. If someone talked to me on the streets the way TSA idiots have talked to me, they would have been shut down ricky tick. Of course, if I responded to TSA morons in the manner they deserved, I'd be jailed as a terrorist and would never be able to fly again. Every TSA agent can go eff themselves.

It was alright, but the movie is more about Charlize Theron's character than Max. Max is just sorta there. Nothing he does has any impact on the plot of the movie. I liked Thunderdome better.

I found out when I was shooting my dad's newly issued Beretta 96. His agency switched from the 92 to the 96, so I wanted to give it a shot. He was up shooting and I was jamming mags for myself. Apparently there was still a box of 9mm in there mixed with his .40 ammo, so I loaded the wrong stuff. I locked and loaded, went to fire and the damn thing wasn't cycling. I shot 3 rounds through it before I dropped the mag and took a look. BTW, it still grouped just fine at 10m with 9mm in a .40 barrel.

82mm and 81mm, respectively.

E-tool? That's sooooooo Cold War era. It's spring loaded ballistic knives now.

One thing is for sure, there hasn't been a decrease in the number of form 1/4's going up to the ATF. I'd be really curious about whether or not they'd choose to pursue charges for the use of the Sig brace as a shoulder stock. They'd be hard pressed to get a conviction, and the result would be some case law on it actually being legal. The ATF can rule on just about anything. They could figure out some convoluted reason why my 28 inch turkey shotgun is illegal, I'm sure. Doesn't mean that it's illegal. Just their opinion. My guess is they're not going to submit charges for cases they're destined to lose, and the result be the clear legalization of things they don't like.
-
Curious, since anyone can go onto YouTube and see countless videos of the braces being used in this manner. Has the ATF gone after anyone yet for this?
-
It's illegal to fire a brace from your shoulder now?

My .40 shoots 9mm. I found that out completely by accident. I say your buddy should give it a shot, and post here with a range report. I'm all for scientific exploration.

Pending Gun EO Chatter, Update See Post #114

PDs won't issue "smart guns". There is a reason. Even 50 years from now the technology won't be reliable enough to bet your life on. People who talk of "smart guns" being a viable solution are the same people who say, "shoot them in the leg rather than shoot to kill." These are the people who watch too many movies and believe it's reality; stupid people. Their opinions don't matter any more than the opinions of a toddler. -
I would just get a gas block with at top rail, or a gas block with a sight integrated into it. If you mount something to the upper to function as your front sight, the sight radius will be far too short.

ATF says it's cool. I'm assuming since releasing the trigger is still an action, just as if it were a trigger that needed to be pushed forward rather than pulled; pulling then releasing are two separate actions.
-
$400????? Well that seals that. Definitely not touching that, ever. That's two stamps or a Glock.
-
The occasional hammer riding the bolt if you pull the trigger too fast? No thanks. Sounds like a recipe for a slam fire. I don't see how that didn't happen here, if that hammer rode the bolt (firing pin) home.

It's good to war game and come up with a general reaction plan, but trying to get super specific is counterproductive. Just identify priorities of work and what primary role one serves; for example, I'm primarily responsible for physical defense, while my wife is responsible for securing and evacuating the children. A scenario may occur where those roles need to be reversed, but at least we have identified what the priorities are so we can focus on those no matter the circumstances. It isn't like a movie, and no plan survives first contact with the enemy. Just identify what the priorities are, who is generally responsible for what, and have an evacuation plan as well as a link up plan.
