  1. The A Team never carried ARs.
  2. Fat chick, ugly chick or the chick who ain't gettin' nekkid at all? At least with he ugly one you can turn the lights off.
  3. I loved my mini-14 back in the day before I sold it, but it was hell finding mags that worked properly.
  4. Dude, even the Emeratis bowed up when Iran started with the threats of closing the strait last year. That shows how much street cred they got with their neighbors. That's like getting punked out by the asthmatic kid with the high waters and coke bottle glasses.
  5. I dunno, Pakistan tends to keep its sectarian issues in order, but I don't think they'll want to see a Shia state with a delivery capability any time soon. Saudi royals have some pretty deep ties into Pakistani politics. I don't lose sleep over Iran. They want to join the nuke club but I don't think it is something that will happen, even if Obama gets reelected. They keep running out of hands to play with the Syria thing being a huge blow to what they can influence in the region. Their only hand at this point is shutting down shipping lanes, but with a weak navy and even weaker air defense to protect that navy we could eradicate that problem with the few tomahawks we have floating on ships in the area. We'll see a nuke detonated on the Korean Peninsula long before we see it in our hemisphere.
  6. Haha, it's what I do.
  7. It's hard to practice technique until you learn one. Go with a handgun course that focuses on the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship and then practice the techniques that you learn. I've been handling pistols since I was 6 and thought I knew what I was doing. It wasn't until I went to my first shooting school in my 20's that I realized I didn't know squat.
  8. Iran can't figure out how to get the donkey porn viruses out of their secure network on the highest tier program in their country. Not sure how they would ever get a scud in our hemisphere without us knowing.
  9. Society has a way of stabalizing itself. There have been lawless times all through history where rougue elements have attacked and pillaged civilized society, but that is more of an exception to the rule. I don't think that folks consciously consider the concept of mutually beneficial relationships. We all are a part of them, but we don't acknowledge them in such a deliberate way as folks did before we had all our modern comforts. If that all went away it would be immediately apparent the importance of mutually beneficial arrangements... probably in less than 24 hours. One of many anecdotes on the subject I'll share... I was in the middle east while Egypt was at the height of its revolution. I had a bartender who was himself an Egyptian of the Christian faith. To set the background on this there had been a lot of Christian-Muslim tension in Egypt that year after a couple terrorist attacks against churches so the two groups weren't exactly getting along. Add onto that the general support the Christian community in Egypt had for Mubarak, it just wasn't terribly popular to be Christian at the time. So I asked the bartender how things in Egypt were going and if his family felt safe there. He launched into a story about how the security had collapsed and there was rampant violence and thievery being committed by gangs of thugs. He said that his parents lived in a Muslim neighborhood (generally Christians and Jews live in communities in Muslim countries) and that they had formed a security group of all the able males in the neighborhood and were patrolling constantly. He said his father was armed with a shovel while on patrol. This is a small example of what folks will do in dire times, but I think if we saw it here communities would be quick to combat armed bands of locusts. Society just won't stand for that kind of stuff. Especially a society that has such a rich history of not putting up with crap and is armed to the teeth. I'd say that most of the country would take care of itself. NYC, Chicago and LA probably won't make it though... bummer.
  10. It ain't because of state sanctioned buttsex.
  11. No empire has withstood the test of time.
  12. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/chick-fil-kiss-164759658.html Apparently gays aren't as outraged as the media would have us believe. There wasn't much of a showing. Based on the article only a few popped up in various places and were treated well by CFA staff. Here is a pic of a manager handing out free refreshments to protesters. Classy. Can't say the same about folks who are making a point to have PDA. I don't think it's appropriate for hetero couples to be making out in public. I don't see why being gay makes it appropriate.
  13. What would be icing on the cake would be for CFA to offer him an accounting job publicly. They've been keeping the moral high ground through all of this so far pretty well. Any one else find it suspicious at the end of his video where he has to point out that he is not gay himself? Thought that was a little funny. If he is so tolerant why is he worried about whether or not she thinks he's gay? Hmmmm...
  14. 1. Soldier 2. Prostitute
  15. Paging OS... your services are needed. It's like you have a crystal ball.
  16. Anyone that is familiar with the two oldest and most enduring professions in the history of mankind should know that "morality" is a concept that was shirked from the moment that word existed. The only difference is people just don't pretend as much nowadays.
  17. You can't expect that change in the unwilling.
  18. One of the lowest ranking individuals in the entire intelligence community leaked more classified material than all leaks in history combined because he felt as if he was an outcast because he was queer. No, when our government can go more than a week without a substantial intelligence leak then I might start to worry that they're getting competent enough to do something sinister.
  19. The only way to change it would be to use the law to enforce an ideology of what is "moral". Dangerous game that is. Besides, there were folks screwing out of wedlock all through the "roaring" twenties. My Grandpa has stories of when he was a young GI back in the '40s that make me look like a friggin' Chaplain. I'm not convinced things used to be different in the minds of folks, I think the only difference was the presence of shame, and that shame only existed in the public eye. Now, people don't feel as if they have to give the appearance of living up to certain expectations of society. Some would say that's a bad thing, and some would say it's a good thing. The thing is, there are still good responsible people out there that don't need to use the judgement of others as their moral compass. Their moral compass gets its bearings from within, whether that be good parents, religion or a conscious effort to do the right thing. The folks that don't have that, well, we allow it to happen by being lax about laws they break and allowing the government to be the nanny of the millions of welfare puppies that are squirted out each year.
  20. He didn't "step forward" and say anything. He was merely supporting preparing for economic disaster and suggesting that major population centers could see martial law declared. He is/was in no position to know any better than the rest of us regarding impending collapse or what orders the President may or may not give in that event. BTW, just to point out that his position at the agency was for a short period and didn't involve command of any stations or strategies, so it is of no relation to the topic. In addition to that, the CIA is focused on what is going on outside of our borders, not within. They would be breaking some laws to be doing business on our soil.
  21. Funny how everyone has forgotten about some slutty college chick with her hand out, but haven't forgot about this company's knee jerk capitulation to the rabid left.
  22. For a company like that I'm sure there is an ethics clause or something in his contract. People get fired all the time for running their suck while off the clock.
  23. That is a good example that I can relate to in regard to the controversy over the religious beliefs of the owner. Folks were outraged and the media openly labeled him a "bigot" for believing that gays shouldn't be married. I'm certain that this man believes that it is just as much of a sin for an unwed couple to live together and share a bed. My wife and I lived together for two years before we got married. If this guy came out and said that I was a sinner or something of the like I don't see myself being offended or boycotting his company. I don't think I would care and would be in disbelief if there was national outrage over it. If I got pissed at every CEO that had an opinion contrary to mine I'd have to boycott 90% of the companies out there.
  24. Believe it or not I'm not a moron. I'm familiar with a few of these cases. The photographer being sued is no different than Burger King being sued for refusing service on grounds of sexual orientation. The photog doesn't have a leg to stand on. As for the other cases out there, they haven't made it to the Supreme Court, so I don't believe what goes on in New Jersey has any bearing on states that haven't capitulated all their freedoms yet. But even the case in New Jersey didn't involve a church, but involved property that the church owned and rented out for events. I do know this, if someone wants to make a Supreme Court issue out of it then it would open things up for all faiths and I don't think it would stand for long. For example, if you're not a Muslim you ain't getting into a Mosque during services. If you ain't a Mormon you ain't getting in to temple. A buddy of mine wasn't even allowed into his own sister's wedding because he was no longer Mormon. So, as far as I see there is no precedent where the government has stepped in and demanded that a church perform a gay ceremony. Anyone can sue anyone over anything. Suing someone proves squat.
