Makes Herman Cain not look crazy despite all the people who painted his 9-9-9 plan as the obsessive ramblings of a lunatic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Your doctor is wrong. Sitting on our butts and getting food from a drive thru are all choices. I'm not saying that I never indulge in the flame broiled goodness of a whopper, but if I had a weight problem I wouldn't touch the stuff. I don't farm or have an outdoor, physically demanding job. My wife is a stay at home mom. We have every excuse to be overweight, but we aren't. We choose not to be. The reason obesity in America is such a problem has nothing to do with the existence of unhealthy crap at every turn. It has everything to do with our culture of blaming others for our woes and REFUSING TO TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for anything. It has become so bad that folks like me who encourage people to take responsibility for their station in life are called "victim blamers/shamers". How crazy is that??? Of course the "victim" is to blame when they are the sole person able to make the choices, good or bad, which lead to their station in life. Americans complain about things they have complete control of. It drives me nuts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't believe the myth that poor folks are fat because they can't afford non-fattening foods. I believe this for two reasons: 1. I come from the Honey Boo Boo culture. My parents didn't have much money when I was growing up, but we were all skinny. We didn't keep sodas or fattening snacks in the house. Those things cost more money. When I see the poverty level folks filling their carts, they're filling it with crap I can't even afford. I buy the cheapest stuff I can find, yet somehow everyone in my household is thin. We don't have personal trainers, nutritionists or a gym membership. We've both got a bunch of overweight people in our families, so I deny that we are thin due to some magic metabolism ability that 1/3 of Americans don't have. Most of the people I grew up with are tipping their trailer over when they walk around. They don't have a pot to piss in, yet they can mainline Mountain Dew like it's cool. Not that I care about someone's life choices, I like jolly people; what bugs me are folks who are doing it on my dime, or look at me like I have some magical secret to not being obese that they aren't capable of tapping into. My wife an I put effort into it, and I'm sick of hearing whiny ass Americans complain that they can't achieve the same due to circumstances beyond their control. 2. I've been around the world; to countries without a gluttonous culture and countries where people are so damn poor they can't afford food. There aren't a bunch of fat people there. So unless Americans are genetically different than everyone outside our borders (they aren't), a whole bunch of people are full of crap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have spikes and a PSA. Both are nice, but I like my PSA more because it was half the cost of the Spikes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TX Man, Justifiable Defense, but Felony Anyway?
TMF replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Hopefully this case gets the law changed. This man likely prevented several deaths of actual humans. I wish him the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Nothing says you're comfortable with your choice to be alone like throwing huge event to validate your choice in the eyes of other people. Oh the irony. At least if she was hot I could stand the mental image of her consummating the marriage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I went down a rabbit hole earlier after clicking a conspiracy theory link regarding Ebola. While west-Africans may be ignorant due to superstitions and lack of education, Americans can be just plain stupid with the level of access to information that we have. There is a lot of misinformation being circulated right now by people looking to profit off this scare... a lot of "don't trust the government; buy my book to learn the REAL secrets to surviving the Ebola outbreak." Needless to say, my fellow Americans are eating this up, because they never hesitate to turn a crisis into something that fits their narrative, whether it be left/right/straight lunatic.

Thanks. By reading through all that it looks like this was likely a private purchase, rather than military contract production, which was common still with soldiers. The detail and imperfections in the handle kinda too that off, and remind me a lot of handmade knife handles I've come by in Kurdistan and Afghanistan. Still very neat, and I'm sure there is a cool story about it. Dad says he's cleaning it up to try and restore the blade, so something cool to have around the house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My mom just sent me a pic of this today. They're working on a home remodel project for a deceased extended family member's estate. They found this amongst garage junk. Anyone know anything about these things? It appears to be authentic, but wondering if it could be dated to an era. Blade is heavy; near 1/4 inch at the base. Would be neat if this could be identified as WWII era or older. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gov. Moonbeam Signs Crazy Uncle Gun Law
TMF replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If you own guns you are crazy and if you're crazy you can't own guns. See, simple logic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Then how do these idiots control the vast majority of the .22 stock? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I really wish people would stop buying from these people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One wouldn't think so, but I assumed the same about two LGSs and each were able to produce emergency build parts when I called them. I've been in that situation twice where I had one or two little things I needed that they had in stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Which gun stores are close to you? I would think most would have them in stock, especially if they have a gunsmith working out of there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Obama isn't the problem with America; he is only a symptom. Americans are what is wrong with America. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As much as I dislike Obama, I'd still take a bullet for him. It's his position and office that matter, not the man when it comes to an assassination. Whether the assassin was from within or without, the decision of who gets to sit in the Oval Office shouldn't come from a one loony pulling a trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heck, I've got hogs in the conservation area behind my house outside Tampa. There's a few acres of banana trees in a canopied area that they root up. Seems like it's fresh every time I go back there to pick. I'm planning on putting out a trap, but I've been debating on running it past the HOA or just begging for forgiveness if they have an issue with it. If I get more than one I'll be giving meat away. I do miss it. My parents live off several thousand acres of marshland south of the Ocala forest now. They have hogs, deer and bear on their trail cam regularly, since the area they're at isn't hunted. I'm going to be taking some hogs there in late Nov/early December, and will be using electronic calls on gator to see how effective it is. I'm hoping to perfect it before potentially going on a hunt next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gulf coast (rural) and Ocala forest. I used to live on a lake in the Ocala forest with attached swampland/marshland. I'd go out there in a row boat as a kid and fish bluegill. Used to call gator using a baby call and it would work pretty well to get them close, depending on the time of day. I've seen a few videos of guys who pulled tags doing hunts with baby gator calls on a boombox. I guess it's legal to do, or else the guide wouldn't do it and post it to his channel. It is illegal in Florida for deer and other game. Appears not to be for coyote and gator. Primary reason I was looking for a call was to test out on gator in my family's swampland in prep for the tag I hope to pull next year. Can't seem to find an app with a selection of baby gator calls.
