  1. That's what I always say. Last time I checked the amount I've paid in so far, if I got it back and could roll it into just my IRA I could turn that into a wealthy retirement income by the time I need it. I just want my money back. I would have no expectations after that if I only had that option.
  2. I would say that 99.999999999999999% percent of them haven't seen the movie considering that its content is illegal in every country where a riot is going on. That would include accessing it on the Internet. Google censored it in those countries in compliance with the local laws anyway. Considering the range of penalties one might face for accessing or owning a copy of the movie, I'm guessing no one was taking that chance. Let's not forget we are one of the few places on earth where there is a guarantee of free speech, for now.
  3. Nobody is shooting anybody. The question posed was a "what if".
  4. So maybe they're all just pissed over the production value?
  5. I've scoured YouTube on this and have only seen it performing well. Thinking that the one in the vid above was just a bad batch or poor mag. I hope if it's the former it could be sent to Arsenal for repair. I don't know the history of them backing their product. Now that I see that the Krink muzzle device is actually a shroud, and that the barrel actually extends under the shroud out to 10.5 inches I'm pretty stoked. I was never happy with the idea of having a shorter barrel than that. Looks like I'm going to have to dump my GSG to fill the gun fund for this.
  6. I'm pretty ignorant about this stuff Dave, so maybe you can offer some insight due to you LE background, but is it common practice for parole officers to check up on guys for questioning in the middle of the night? From the outside looking in this looks like intimidation. Voluntary or not. Not too many people refuse to go with the cops when they come looking for you for questioning. This, paired with the administration's request to Google, looks like suppression to me. I'm not normally the conspiracy guy, but this is a case of "looks like a duck, quacks like a duck". I don't think it's a pig, although it stinks.
  7. The hell is with Tapatalk???
  8. Thought crime from the looks of it.
  9. Perhaps conflict was inevitable, but the act itself was the spark on the powder keg. Can't say that Hitler shooting himself or Lincoln being assassinated changed history significantly. Maybe Kennedy being killed altered our line of presidents, but Vietnam, the civil rights movement... that was already on its course.
  10. You're getting better muzzle velocity off that 9mm in a carbine too than you would from a 5 in barreled pistol, right? I don't have a 9mm carbine, but I would say that is the next best thing to a 12 GA shottie for home defense. I'd never use a rifle caliber... too loud, too much penetration for living in a neighborhood like I do. I use a pistol as my go-to home defense. All my rifles stay locked up... I got kids.
  11. On Bud's and Slickguns.... hangon, lemme go back on my browser and find it. Bud's: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411550078 (no pic on there, weird) Slickguns: http://www.slickguns.com/product/arsenal-inc-krink-slr106-47-556-nato-105-steel-black-plastic-5rd-adjustable-sights-slr106-47 Slickguns had it listed for $745 a month ago but I guess they updated their price to match Bud's. I don't know if Slickguns charges 3% more on CC, as the Bud's price is the cash price, not the CC price. Still pretty darn good. I'm surprised there isn't a plethora of reviews out there or folks here that don't have them yet. I've been looking for reviews all over the place but can't find anything that isn't slanted.
  12. These rifles are Arsenals from what I understand. Essentially the pistol is the same thing, just with a shorter barrel. They MSRP for about the same, and Bud's has it for $734 shipped. Definitely in the price range if I sell off one of my rarely used "fun" guns. As for the video, I stopped watching it after the second malfunction, mostly due to the "tough guy" music being played as this guy is dealing with multiple FTF... just hard to take that. I was wondering about this issue in regards to the mag. I have at least one 5.45 x 39 mag that does this with my AK-74; it will eject the casing (at a velocity of about 1,000 mph) but fail to strip one off. I chalk it up to a bad day on the assembly line in whatever Soviet bloc country it was manufactured. I thought maybe this could be the same. If not it would be good to know if this is systemic. I was hoping with the new popularity of these Bulgarian 5.56 guns there would be a few folks that picked 'em up that would have good/bad things to say. Really, it's the only thing from keeping me from pulling the trigger on this. I want to get the paperwork in before Obama gets reelected.
  13. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/05/chris-dumm/shovel-ready-sbr-arsenal-slr-106u-krinkov-pistol/ Does anyone own one of these? I'm wondering on the reliability of it being a 5.56, with the history of 5.56 AKs that were meant to be 5.45 AKs. I am thinking of giving up my endevour of going through the hassle of building one with a Krink parts kit and just doing this instead. I had a 7.62 AK SBR on a few of my Iraq deployments and have no desire to own one... would rather have something in a 5.45, but will settle for 5.56 so long as it isn't hiccupping every other round. Plan would be to pick one up and SBR it. Thoughts, suggestions, reviews? Thanks.
  14. I think it is more strategically significant to the Italians and the French. They can get their hands dirty to keep the global costs down and keep getting their supply. I promise that if we cut all ties with Libya (to include any "humanitarian" funding) Europe would pick up the slack in a heartbeat. We shouldn't let opportunities like that pass us by. F*** Libya, let's pack up shop. It's not like we have to go through the trouble of recalling our Ambassador there or anything. The Libyans were nice enough to do that for us.
  15. I'm going with option #4 here: FN Model 1910, .32 cal, serial number 19074 This was the pistol used to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand and set off a chain of events that would result WWI, and set the stage for the rise of Hitler and WWII. Certainly I believe these are more historically significant due to the fact that events were caused by this pistol that actually shaped history, unlike the pistols used to kill Lincoln and Hitler. The reason why those are not too historically significant: Hitler: Let's face it; Hitler was done for anyway. The fact that he shot himself didn't change the course of history. He would have been killed during the capture or the Russians would have hung him in short order. Lincoln: If he had been assassinated a year and a half prior I believe it would have been the singlemost historic shot in American history, as there is a good chance that would have altered the outcome of the Civil War. However, JWB shot him after all was over so it didn't really impact anything. If Lincoln would have croaked from a heart attack the same day or continued to finish out his term I don't think history would be much different. Maybe the North wouldn't have taken out so much of their anger on the South if it weren't for JWB, but I'm thinking it wouldn't have mattered. They were pretty pissed either way. Kennedy: I don't know how much it would be different if Kennedy wasn't assassinated. I'm sure there would be a different line of Presidents we'd be looking at today, but more significant than the one that killed Archduke Ferdinand? No, I don't think so.

In that case you need to score an A1 barrel while you're at it. I did an XM177 build a while back and have everything but the proper barrel (mine is a 16 inch replica) since I would have to go through the ATF pain.
  17. I wasn't aware of a time in recent history that we were popular with the Afghanis. Bad guys are gonna attack one way or the other. Hastening their actions is actually a good thing.
  18. When was the last time you felt good about any politician?
  19. That's what I figured I'd do. Not too many good options on price though. It looks like it would be twice what an SBR'd Draco would run me. I figured I make it a pistol first just because of the wait times now. At least I'd be able to go shoot while I'm waiting.
  20. That would be the cheaper option and much easier, but I haven't seen them in 5.45. If they did I'd have already bought it and submitted the paperwork.
  21. Okay, I've always been curious on that and how it works. I've been pondering doing something similar with an AK build, by sending off the paperwork but building it as a pistol in the interim. I was never clear on whether or not that was legal, or if I had to do some legal voodoo to make it okay. So really, it doesn't matter how it originally came from the FFL, if I have the spontaneous desire to make it a pistol that is good to go?
  22. So it would absolutely have to be transferred through an FFL as a handgun to build it as a pistol? What if the lower was purchased in a private sale?
  23. It was a two-parter and some of the best commentary on the Momo sitiuation as I've ever heard. Plus it bashes Family Guy at the same time. It was poetic.
  24. I saw this yesterday. I was going to share it on facebook but it was so vulgar I didn't want folks to have to see it if they didn't want too. As always, spot on Onion.
  25. Yeah, I remember that episode well. They also had another one that specifically was to address the issue with Muhammed being depicted in a cartoon, which Comedy Central censored, then failed to put in the DVD series. Surpisingly though, I watched a rerun of "Super Best Friends" last year and it was unedited from the original, so I guess it wasn't offensive enough. I dunno, but depicting Muhammed isn't that big of a sin in Islam anyway, and isn't a sin at all if you're not Muslim. They just get worked up about it because they don't understand the concept surrounding freedom of speech.
