Holster? What holster? Hehe, boobies.

We are starting to see it rise sharply in Clarksville as well. There have been three major shootings in a week in Clarksville, two resulting in death. It seems it stays in certain neighborhoods and only targets folks of a certain lifestyle. That's fine. There hasn't been much spill over in the human communities, with the exception of one individual that was far too trusting and found himself dead for giving a ride to a couple of punks. I would like to feel bad for the folks that live in these communities that are honest, and do not engage in criminal enterprise. I would like to. But I can't because it is partly their fault that such activities thrive. A general distrust/dislike of the police amongst the community is what allows these gangs to thrive. You'd figure they'd be more distrustful of hoodlums shooting up the neighborhood, but they aren't. I can't imagine putting up with that kind of nonsense, but people do.

I've always had good service at Tennessee Gun Country, down 41A towards Dover Road. They do military discounts (as well as LE/FF), so I'm sure your retired ID is sufficient. I've bought guns and holsters there a few times. They have always been polite; not too pushy but certainly not ignoring the customer. The gun shop in the hardware store (near the overpass) I've stayed away from. Went in there a couple of times 6 years ago to browse and inquire about FFL transfers and was appalled at the attitude I got. From what I hear there is a new gun shop that opened up off of Tiny Town a year or so ago. I haven't been in there to check it out; I don't even recall the name of it. Then there is Allen's Gun Shop off of Dover Road, just a couple miles away from Tennessee Gun Country. I haven't been in there before, so I can't say anything good or bad about it. As far as ammo, I get it at wally world.

Hunting with a suppressor in Tn.

They said in the video you can pay a tax stamp on it. Still wouldn't buy one... pretty useless if you intend to hit anything beyond 50m. -
What will be Obama's 'October Surprise'?

Agree with just about everything above, Leroy. Iraq wasn't really as bad as it was made out to be by the press, but it wasn't productive and its necessity is certainly open to debate. I will say that much of that conflict (the years that followed the establishment of an Iraqi government) was due to HUGE mistakes that were made after securing the population centers and the capitulation of Saddam's Army. These mistakes were easily aviodable, and simply were made out of a combination of laziness and politics. Bush wasn't the one making these mistakes, however, the folks he appointed to make them are still his reponsibility, and ulimately he is responsible for everything his subordinates do or fail to do. His mistake was trusting the judgement of some of those subordinates. -
Sounds like it's just criminals shooting each other. Five people shot; not a victim amongst them.

I've actually considered wiring cameras to monitor front and side activity for legal purposes, as I've had more near misses from people texting and driving in the last couple years than the my whole driving history combined. The first one to hit me is going to get sued to the point that they won't make another dime for the rest of their lives without some of it coming to me first.

The color on the one makes it look like a long haired mal.

Yep, I'd not waste my money on a cobray. If rifle caliber pistol is what you want, I'd add the PLR16 to the list too.

The last time I had a landline phone caller ID was revolutionary and cost me 10 bucks extra a month.

I've gotten the flu shot every year for over a decade now. Sometimes I get sick, sometimes I don't. I'm not sure if the sickness I get is flu-related, but I don't think it matters. It's never been enough to put me down.

But David Letterman told me it's the other way around. I don't know what to believe anymore!
-
Exactly. The issue here is that there is no way a jury is going to believe, beyond a reasonable doubt, that he wasn't choked. With no witnesses it would be hard to prove one way or the other, so the burden lies with the prosecution. They had to of been high to think they'd get a conviction. More so, they were stupid to think they'd get a plea deal on an older man like this, as it doesn't matter if he pled to 1st or 2nd degree murder, as either sentence would equate to the rest of his life in jail, making any plea deals to lessen the charge moot.

TSA agent has negligent discharge with confiscated weapon

Maybe he thought the safety was on. -
You aren't considering certain factors here. Being outgunned means absolutely nothing here. I'm aware of countless stories of American Servicemembers holding back 10-1 numbers, and some stories of them killing dozens without suffering any loss of life on their side. You're not taking into account violence of action, nor are you considering the cowardly nature of their culture. In fact, more numbers work against them, as it actually encourages them to break contact when they see the guy next to them flee, which generally happens when you start dropping bodies. I've seen this first hand. Yes, 4 or 5 Marines would have had their hands full. No doubt in my mind that their actions would have been focused on seizing the initiative and they would have been successful in doing so. A platoon of Marines? No doubt in my mind they would have ended the lives of so many before they had the chance to get away. It isn't just about who has greater numbers or better weapons when it comes to fighting these monkeys. The only thing they respond to is power. When you try to flee or break contact they will become emboldened and take the initiative. When you return with great violence and decisive action they scatter like cockroaches no matter how many they have on their side.

Sorry, I misunderstood and thought you were trying to sell it, not buy it. My apologies.

TSA agent has negligent discharge with confiscated weapon

I guess I made the assumption they were one in the same, since she was taken for "secondary screening." I guess I really wanted this to be a TSA person. -
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/09/flight-attendant-tries-to-bring-loaded-gun-through-airport-security/ In short, a flight attendant somehow forgets she has her Smitty .38 in her purse. So she gets rolled up in security and taken to secondary screening, where the TSA officer somehow fires the revolver. The incompetence here is absolute staggering to the point of being funny. How does one have an ND with a revolver? That has to be the safest handgun in the world.... you can just look at it and tell it's loaded, not to mention having such a long, hard trigger pull. Lesson, don't leave loaded weapons where TSA agents can get them. It is a recipe for disaster.

I have a CDP II with the 4 inch barrel. It still feels full size enough, so it isn't as snappish as the 3 inch, but more concealable than the full size. It's a little lighter since it has an aluminum frame. My biggest gripe is the finish on it (the receiver). It scratches way too easy. I've given up filling it in with the sharpie. I just don't care enough anymore since I don't intend to sell it. Other than that I love it. It goes bang every time and looks good doing it.

My Kimber has an aluminum frame and 4 inch barrel, so it is pretty darn light. I carry 8 +1, which I figure is a good amount of .45. At least enough to make the noise necessary to end any dangerous confrontation. I carried IWB for a while and found it to be too heavy and uncomfortable. After switching to OWB holster I don't notice it. It is literally only a few ounces heavier than my G19 with 15 +1.
