I live next door to one. Of course, anyone curious as to what happens to a person when they unnecessarily attack an animal in the owner's yard can ask me about his troubles. Even it being a misdemeanor charge, it had a significant negative effect on his life... money spent on lawyers and all; plus work problems and a particularly dangerous dog owner that now has his hackles up and is waiting for him to slip up again. Yep, one little mistake like that can bring years of butt pain.

Haha, nice. Swift has been dominating the airwaves lately which has my wife humming her songs nonstop. I am not a fan.

And mine is specially trained to break out of kennels.... ugh. -
I spent my summers working on my grandfather's ranch. We had issues with wild dogs and coyotes all the time. We trapped what we could and handed them over to animal control. I shot a few that were brazen enough to take chickens in the daytime. There was an instance of them trying to take down a bull as well where my grandpa took a few of them out. I have no issues putting them down if they are a nuisance or a danger, but I don't feel good about it and I certainly do not wish suffering on the animal.

I was going to do the same, but with two small kids it was very convenient to do it early. No way would we be able to stand in line for long with the two of them. I was surprised at how many campaigners were in the parking lot at the library. That was obnoxious.

I saw one at Guns and Leather a few weeks ago in desert tan. It didn't have a hefty price tag as I recall. In fact, the clerk said to let him know how mine shot once I got it to the range. Can't remember his name but I'd tell him that it shot great.

I actually played this out just the other day when I came home to a basement door breach. The wife had left it open and didn't set the alarm. The dog was out with me so I sent her in and we cleared it together. If there was anyone in the house she would have smelled them. Even designer lap dogs are going to react to a stranger in the house; they will smell them. -

I have a dog. It is an effective house clearing tool in conjunction with an armed home owner. They can hear, see and smell stuff that you can't. -
I live in the city. Strays end up getting penned up in my backyard until I find the owner or adopt it out. Not that I haven't killed my share of dogs, but I'd never kill a dog unless I had to.

Why not?

Not only that, I'd be losing respect for Romney if he stooped to such a level. I have this unrealistic expectation that I should be able to look up to my leaders.... I know, I know.... lower my expectations and I won't be disappointed.

Well I guess it would naturally be. If the choice is life or death, what happens afterward shouldn't be a concern at the time. If a person has to ask themselves "should I shoot" then the answer is "no". Like I said before, in fear for your life means exactly that; you fear that you will die if you choose not to defend yourself.

Yeah, I would say that such requests are beneath the office of the POTUS, but then again, so is making damning comments about a misdemeanor disorderly arrest somewhere in New England. I don't like it when my Commander acts "stupidly".

If you dig a trench around your perimeter you can use as much fire as you want. I guess you could just spear their skulls from a distance, but the short lived smell of burning flesh is way better than the long term smell of rotting corpses.

I love me some XP. I'm not ready to move on either.

100% on this. For me it is quite simple. Fear for your life means exactly that. If one is considering using deadly force, but the deciding factor is one's interpretation or concern of the law, I'm figuring that they are not in fear of their life. Having experienced a few scenarios where imminent death was a probability, the concern of my actions being justified never entered my mind. Not until afterward when I was explaining my actions in a sworn statement. One scenario that sticks out clear was a situation that I asked myself if I should shoot. Having the presence of mind to ask myself that question answered it for me. About 30 seconds later I don't recall asking myself that question when I opened up, because the answer was beyond clear.

He should pin this whole thing on a US citizen exercising their freedom of speech. After all, angry Muslims can't be expected to be accountable for their actions in response to our freedoms. I assume that is how his advisors pitched it to him... maybe not in those exact words, but certainly the same sentiment.
