? Its pretty clear the morons in D.C. dont give a rats ass for anyone of us. They are, and have been, on a power trip for many, many years. Nothing will likely stem for this, but it still sends a clear message IMO.
Of course, that is a given. But that is like leaving the Thanksgiving turkey on the counter where the dog can get it, then getting pissed at the dog when he eats it. It ain't the dogs fault; it's his nature. The fault lies with the dummy that gave him access to the turkey. The issue here is that you blame career politicians for being crooked. It is in their nature. They're made up of slimy lawyers and power hungry trust fund babies. No, the fault lies in your fellow Americans that allow this to happen. We are all to blame. The crappy part is that Americans are to f-ing stupid to see that, so they latch on to one party or the other in hopes that they win out on certain policies that are most important to them, as they continue to hand over the reins to a one of the two crooked parties. The answer to that is not to completely throw away our system of government, revolt and prop up an illegitimate power. The answer is to reject the two party system and fire our leaders peacefully. If you and your fellow Americans are too damn lazy/selfish/ignorant to do that get ready to suck it up with the rest of us as we crash our economy.
Not quite true. If you don't parse out the percentages of recipients in relation to percentage of population and only look at the raw numbers, there are more whites on welfare. In fact the single largest user of TANF is the single white mother. Believe it or not, there are still more of us crackers in this country than anyone else.
Yes, but the perception is different. I was just reading a story about widespread attacks against middle eastern immigrants in Greece as retaliation for their bankrupt ass gov. The immigrants aren't the ones sucking the Greek tit dry; it's the entitled Greeks that have had their hands out all along. Certainly the perception is the same here in regard to minorities. I'm from the land of trailer parks and Florida. I know just how worthless and teet sucking white people can be.
Not worth a response.
I'm just trying to clear up who is "they". There are over 4 million Americans that make up our government. Are they all coming after the rest of us, or just some? If some, then who? How are they able to conceal their plans from other members of the government? Once we clear up who "they" are I think that the rest of us could better prepare for the civil war folks keep say is coming, don't you agree? You must have an idea who "they" are if you know their plans. Please, fill the rest of us in. I want to know too!
The Government. Who else are we talking about here?
Hmmm, like, the whole government? I guess when I was in the military I was part of the government and was never filled in on any vast conspiracy. Maybe I just wasn't high up enough. I'll send a text to my buddies at the Pentagon and see if they know anything about it. Maybe you meant our elected officials. In that case I'll give a call to a friend of mine who served as a state representative in Florida. He would have to know something about this. Or maybe it's a sneaky shadow government. That would make more sense I guess. I don't know anyone on the "Smoky Room, Hand Wringing Panel", but I guess that's why they're so sneaky.

Suggestions on home defense shotguns
TMF replied to jwinter's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I have a mossberg 500 in the home defense role. If I could do it again, I would go with the 590. It has a longer magazine tube. The 500 is fine, just preference really. The ergonomics between the 500 and the 870 are a little different. The slide release on the 870 is awkward to me, so I went with the 500. Either way, my 500 was $300 from gunbroker with a shorter barrel, side saddle, pistol grip, and adjustable stock. Look for deals.
The mag tube on my 500 is just as long as a 590 and about $200 cheaper. -
Mom Gets $2,500 Ticket After Son, 3, Urinates In Front Yard
The woman lied. She said the Police Department refused to take her complaint; that is an outright lie. Investigators took a complaint and interviewed both her and her daughter. The Chief of Police stopped by her house, apologized to her and told her the charges were dropped and he opened an investigation into the incident. What more could anyone possibly ask for? Will they fire the cop? Of course they won’t; it doesn’t rise nearly to that level. But he may you more discretion next time.
Well the PD should have responded to the reporters. The article said they wouldn't respond so we only have her side in this story. No matter what, an office issuing a citation for a potty training 3 year old is ridiculous. I've had to let my son relieve himself in public before. When a potty training kid has to go, he has to go or mess himself. I would be a very ugly person about the situation if I was being held criminally liable because my son had to piss, whether or not I got a belated apology, to include contacting the press to make this officer look like the douche nozzle he is. -

I wish I could remember; I wasn't home for Christmas last year, so it's been a while. Probably about 3 hours, if you bring the roast to room temp before cooking it (which is also important). I checked periodically to be sure. The advantage of cooking at such a low temperature is that you don't need to worry about losing heat by checking every so often. The oven should return to 200 degrees quickly. I would baste every 20-30 minutes, so I would use that as an opportunity to check the internal temperature after it was in there for a while. Of course, the size of the roast will determine cooktime, so time is not an exact science, but temperature is. -

Not entering the contest, just sharing my Christmas prime rib recipe. I've done this a couple of times and it has turned out great. Ingredients: 6 lb standing rib roast/prime rib Kitchen twine/string 1 x vidalia onion 8 x halved mushrooms Tbsp minced garlic 1/4 cup Olive oil 2 teaspoons Kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper Half a bottle of dark beer, give or take. Instructions: Cut roast away from the ribs. There should be a healthy layer of fat at the top of the roast. If it is thicker than 1 inch trim it down a bit. Otherwise leave it be. Take an ice pick or similar tool and poke about a dozen holes a few inches into your roast. Don't worry, it won't cause the juices to leak bad since we're gonna sear it. Combine your garlic, salt and pepper with the olive oil, mix it well, then give your roast a good rub down. Try to shove some of that garlic down into the holes you made, along with those coarse granules of salt. Use the twine to tie your roast back to the ribs the way it was cut off. Chop your onion into half dollar-like sections, about 1/4 inch thick and line the bottom of your cooking dish (something with a little depth, like glass cookware or one of those disposable tins). You can place the roast on top of them onions. Add those shrooms to the pan too. Add beer, but don't make it deeper than the width of your onion slices. Heat oven to 500 degrees and throw the roast in there for about 20 minutes. You're trying to sear the outer layer of that roast and bleed some of that fat into the pan. After twenty minutes lower the temperature to 200 degrees, and be sure to use a baster to keep it wet. As it cooks the fat will run off and cook with the beer, onions and mushrooms making a delicious stew to baste your roast with as it cooks. Don't cook to time; cook to temperature. Cooking at this low temperature will cause it to cook very evenly throughout, so what you will end up with should be about 1/4 inch of brown meat on the outside, and evenly pink all the way through. Take the roast out once the internal temp reaches 110-115 (depending on how rare you consider medium rare) degrees. Cover will tin foil and let sit for 30 minutes or so. This will turn out with very tender and juicy meat on the spectrum of medium rare. I've done it this way a couple of times and am doing it again for Christmas this year. -

Solar chargers work okay for camping if you dont have access to a vehicle to charge your phone. Yeah, it might not be sunny everyday, but the sun will come out eventually.

I think that number has dropped dramatically in the past 15 years as we've lost so many of the WW II vets. I'm guessing somewhere around 5% and falling.

Criminals tend to case their jobs. Dogs are a big part of their planning matrix. They are very unlikely to hit a home that has a dog, even if it is just a yapper. -
You are pretty much correct, 160th is a Special Operations Aviation Regiment. But because of the nature of the missions we had to be a part of, we had to have additional training in urban ground operations, which is pretty much summarized training provided by 5th SFG and Viking Tactical. Because on any mission, if we lose our guys or too many guys on the ground, we may/have to join the ground effort. Usually these missions are ones that are a Ranger/Civilian effort. Basically look at us as backup in the sky. My job #1 on a mission was .50 cal support from air. But there were a few times I had to hit the rope for the betterment of the mission. But I had a lot more ground training than I did ground action, if that fills you in.
Oh, I guess I just figured that those color coded task forces that make a career outa direct action would do things like incorporate an aerial reaction force into their plan. Ya know, a reserve of door kickers in the air ready to land in support of or quickly flex to another part of the target area as opposed to pinning their hopes of mission success to the guy sitting on the tailgate of the Chinook. -
But, what I was trained was that the flashlight is a tactical tool for blinding subjects for my clarity and their unclarity. It doubles their reaction time, and causes some inaccurate shots usually. So, we usually cleared buildings with NVG's and laser sights only. But we used to take our whole trip to the mission location with our NVG's on so our eyes have adjusted to the NVG's.
I thought you said you were in the 160th. Last I checked that was an Air Regiment. I didn't know they were in the door kicking business. Someone needs to tell their cargo that they're out of a job.
