1.
I can not agree with that. Rick was more than willing to kill the inmates with no further provocation than them being there. Sure, he didn't, but I bet ol' Axel and Oscar had to change their drawers none the less.
Yes, but that is after half of their group tried to kill him. Guilty by association and all. I wouldn't have invited a group of convicts into my group, and when the one got lippy in the beginning with the threats I would have immediately kicked him off the planet. He has far more patience then I would ever have.
 2.
At the end of it all, I know I am in the minority here, but while Philip is a bit... off, I don't see him as a villain. In the comics, yes, but other than a few questionable acts, he is no worse that Rick and his folks.
Rick hasn't murdered to take anything that isn't his. He has killed to keep his group safe, but he hasn't gone out of his way to control, manipulate and murder. I'd say the big difference is motivation. Rick has no desire to be in charge, nor does he look for conflict. The governor is motivated by a need to be in charge and control the common folk. That requires a special kind of evil. He's a politician.
 3.
Hello TGO. I like to lurk around here often and post sometimes. I have had my HCP for a few years now and just renewed it about 2 months ago. I tried using the search but could not get anything solid on what I am looking for. I am active duty military and just moved to Ft. Stewart, GA. I am living off post. I plan on staying a TN resident while I am here. What do I have to do now considering I am on orders? Do I have to change my address on my HCP and DL? Can I still keep my HCP even though I am not living in GA? Thanks fellas! I am missing TN already.
Tennessee needs to be your home of record. Otherwise you're good. Then again, don't be surprised if you get a hard time if you get pulled over. My wife was brow beat by an LEO in Clarksville for not having TN license although she lives here. Not all cops are familiar with how it works with Servicemembers and dependants.
 4.
I'm going to keep buying Mountain house for now. It lasts longer, tastes better, and is lighter than MRE's.
I've had these before. They are where it's at.
 5.
Mark, I agree. I just meant that we are relying more and more on UAVs. It doesn't make much sense to have a floating city designed to support manned operations be used to supported those unmanned ones. We'll still have carriers, but some of their mission could be accomplished by smaller ships launching UAVs. Instead of needing 2 carriers in an area, perhaps 1 carrier with 1 UAV carrier could do it, or that same carrier supported by 2 - 5 UAV carriers could cover a much larger area. Instead of having to send one of the big boys to watch over a sem-troublesome spot, we could do it with a UAV mini-carrier. Five regular carriers might be a little low, but perhaps 7 or 8 is reasonable. I wish we could have 20 of them, but money is always a problem. If we can have the force projection we need using more numerous smaller ships, it's something to consider.
Carriers are designed for real war, not low intensity conflict where UAVs are the "go-to" ordinance vehicles. If we are ever involved in a large scale conflict again it will be our carriers that make or break us.
 6.
Another thing that is messed up. The Swastika was around for WAY before the Nazi's. It is actually a has good meaning behind it. "The Original Meaning The word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit svastika - "su" meaning "good," "asti" meaning "to be," and "ka" as a suffix. Until the Nazis used this symbol, the swastika was used by many cultures throughout the past 3,000 years to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck." http://history1900s.about.com/cs/swastika/a/swastikahistory.htm So, In my opinion, the whole swastika argument is bullsh##.
Yeah, Hitler really ruined that for the rest of us. I have a hard time explaining my swastika tats to my Jewish friends too.
 7.
Radius and ulna, but that's being pedantic.
Ha! Just making sure you're paying attention.
 8.
You will notice the "?" at the end of the title of the thread. Received it this morning from one of the folks I talk to a lot on such issues. Just bringing it up for conversation, was not passing it along as fact.
I know. The blame doesn't lie with you, it lies with Fox. Very sad that I can no longer watch that network. When it first came on the air I had such high hopes.
 9.
Fox "News" is the only "news" outlet to sue in court, and win the right to lie to their viewers. Do you have another source confirming this story? Sorry, posting Fox is like posting MSNBC. Neither of them are out for the news, both are out for what sells to their target audience. http://www.philly2ph...isinform_public http://www.relfe.com...egally_lie.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Akre
Well, the issue I have with this story is that they are reporting hearsay. There is no proof or content; just a guy who says he knows a guy who says that Obama will backdoor gun restrictions. At least when government leaks are reported to other news sources they do it having vetted the source to some degree. This story is a prime example why Fox News has stooped to the reliability of MSNBC.
 10. "Confidential information"? Hmm... I'll wait for legitimate speculation as opposed to "I bet he does it because I think he's a big fat meany".
 11. Maggie put a tibia through a man's neck. Hotness.
 12.
This is the most badass .22 in current production... http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1ATGERGST44&name=German+Sport+Guns+Schmeisser+STG-44+.22lr+Rifle&groupid=11
I saw one of these at the range a couple of weeks ago. Looked like fun, but not quite the real thing.
 13.
...and suddenly, everyone appears to be out of stock on Ruger 10/22's
You try Walmart?
 14. Welcome. Are you planning on becoming a citizen?
 15.
That particular article is embellished a bit, but the basic content I saw on Drudge, the other day. It also had a picture of some "graduates" holding AR-15/ M4's with red tips for flash hiders. It was a similar article, but the content wasn't the funny part, just the picture, and it could lead one to think about the point where those red tips might not be on the weapons. The administration has been open, notorious and hostile, to a degree, about this stuff, and they are dishing it out more than just gradually, now. I don't see that much Barbara Streisand in it, at all. Just like Trek quoted, it's all been on the record.
Aww, c'mon! You're smart enough to see past the BS here. There is nothing but emotion and speculation. I can go to a truck stop on I-24 and take pictures of armored vehicles on flatbeds and then go to a boy scout jamboree and take photos of uniformed eagle scouts firing AR-15s, then write a scary article with "Hitler" in it and get at least 100,000 website hits. This is the kinda tinfoil garbage that makes the good tinfoil garbage look bad.
 16.
Sounds like Mr. Trout probably nailed it right off.
x 3
 17.
I was always of the mind that active duty military should refrain from anything dealing with politics with the exception of voting.
I agree.
 18. My bullsh** meter is pinging out on this article. I'd do the research to debunk it, but it is so full of lunacy it isn't worth it.
 19.
Some commenters here need a history lesson. I expect they will soon get one.
The history lesson I remember covered secession being a failure and resulted in the deaths of a half million Americans.
 20.
My topsecret clearance expired back in the 90's. At my age it is not something I really thought about.
So I'm sure you're familiar with many of the things that can get a clearance pulled. This petition is skirting very close to that edge. I don't think it will affect anyone, but it could be easily argued that it should.
 21.
Why are they passing around gifts for an Islamic holiday in a public school?
I'm not aware if the school had a policy against allowing students being allowed to bring Christmas gift bags for other students. If they do, this would be discriminatory and wrong, but I'm sure there is no rule against Christmas gift bags if a parent wants to hand them out to the other kids. I have no issue against my kid coming home with a Ramadan gift bag. He won't turn into a Muslim and I won't be offended, unless I am not allowed to do the same in regard to Christmas. Maybe one of the parents can hand out dreidels and share some rich Jewish traditions with the Muslim kid.
 22.
Could you clarify that progression a little bit? I'm lost how they can go from a BB gun to mass murderer without having an AK and Glock
He probably meant high capacity BB guns.
 23.
It is nice to know how many of you are willing abdicate your 1st amendment rights and persecute those of us who stand on ours.
There are lots of First Amendment things you can do to get your clearance pulled. Renouncing your citizenship is just one of many. Try joining the Black Panthers or a white supremacist group. Hell, overextending your credit can get ya yanked.
 24. Looking forward to see who wins.
