1. Honestly, that is probably the best thing that could happen in this case. He'll tip his hand, the SCOTUS will kill it and the Republicans will sweep the next election cycle, and likely the one after that. Of course, it won't happen. Obama understands incrementalism and is only capitalizing on this tragedy to take ground in the fight against the 2A. Feinsuck also understands incrementalism; this bill is just for theater and a way to make republicans look like baby killers when they nuke it. They have a strategy, and it is effective. This is why we must have a strategy, rather than doing surgery with a sword, ala Alex Jones. We're playing chess, not checkers.
 2.
I will see if I can find a link, but walmart initially avoided the meeting and after being pressured responded with "we did not realize we HAD to attend" or similar.    So the administration is pressuring walmart directly.     Here we go   Wal-Mart initially turned down an invitation to participate in the talks but reversed its decision after it "underestimated the expectation to attend the meeting on Thursday in person," a spokesman said.     http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/sandy-hook-elementary-biden-includes-nra-wal-mart/story?id=18174779
Haha, I do like the veiled dig from the choice of words the spokesman used. Might as well of said, "The King demands attendance!"
 3. Ha, OS posted the vid on the EO thread. Too funny. Like I said there, somehow I have a feeling when the shooting starts he'll be curled up in a ditch like a little b**ch. Low blow, but appropriate.
 4. I'm not worried about Walmart bending to Obama's will nor do I think Walmart cares on my opinion of anti-gun legislation. The folks that run Walmart aren't stupid. Their bread is buttered in the heartland. They're despised in the liberal states. I don't see them trying to win points with the liberals, since they will hate Walmart no matter what, and I don't see them pissing off those in the red states by buddying up with Obama.
 5. I don't see what all the fuss is about, Obama was a Constitutional lawyer so he should know better than to usurp the 2A with an EO, right? But seriously, Joe is an idiot and never thinks before he speaks. On the bright side if they pass an EO we get to see Yeager put his money where his mouth is and witness if all that tactical knowledge and s*** talking he likes to do amounts to anything. Something tells me though that he'll be cowering in a ditch somewhere like a little b**ch when the lead starts flying.
 6. Man, you didn't drink the glass, you drank the whole pitcher of kool aid. Sent from my iPad.
 7.
i will have to look up the tennessee code...but it totally makes any gun buster sign or any where your not suppose to carry hog wash... really stupid if u ask me... but it says you can not be charged if you where in the act of protecting yourself or a third party from bodily harm or death blah blah blah... so if i carried into a movie theater that has a gun buster sign up and i have to use my gun to protect myself or someone else i can not be charged... but i guess if im caught in the movie theater and nothing happens while im there and get caught with a hand gun on me i could be charged...WTF!
Considering that no one has been charged for carrying past a gunbuster it isn't something that keeps me awake at night or obsessively eyeballing an entrance way to a building for 5 minutes looking for a sign.
 8.
What do you expect from Ms. Gail "Spoons made me fat" Kerr?   She's the same one who screeched "Blood in the streets!" and "Shootouts in bars!" when the restaurant carry bill was going through the legislature. When I tried to hold her feet to the fire a year later and get her to retract some of the things she said would happen (and didn't), she ignored me.   She's an ignoramus of the highest order.
The first step in fixing a case of liberalism is for them to admit they're wrong when they are proven so. Of course, folks like her are such ego maniacal narcissists that they can't face it when they are wrong, they just ignore it. There is no cure for that kind of liberalism....not a legal cure anyway. Some right wing conservative dude musta left her at the altar back in the day before her panties were occupied by mainly cobwebs and yeast. I can't think of any other reason that she writes with such willful ignorance and venom.
 9. There better be some big news worthy of me checking this thread multiple times a day. Patches aren't gonna cut it for me, especially if there aren't punisher skulls, swords, Latin writing, trunk monkeys, grim reapers and something indicating 'infidel' status. C'mon Glock, I'm on the edge of my seat.
 10.
Did Brian lie to us? Say it ain't so!
He always makes sure to mention that he doesn't get paid enough to offer his opinion on a story. Editorials and such are a different department, but I won't argue that it doesn't show clear the opinions of the editor, unless there was a separate columnist that balanced out the opinion section. I wish these liberal rags would have the honor of at least doing that, but then again, they'd just find a whacko like Alex Jones to be the balancing opinion writer which would only further their cause and strengthen their argument that all gun owners are dangerous to the government and the citizenry.
 11. Haha, he and his merry band of lunatics were to overthrow the government, then assume control of it when it collapses? Hahaha, with zero military experience amongst them or even enough business experience to settle their income taxes. At least our Fore Fathers were veterans, lawyers, businessmen and educated. I'll start taking revolutionaries seriously when they start absorbing folks like that into their organization. Dumbasses.
 12. 1911 and iPhone, of course I have a G19 that I carry occasionally. I'd carry the Glock if I could find a decent holster that doesn't make it ride up to my rib cage. The 1911 is just more comfortable to carry and not print so much. Plus it makes bigger holes.
 13. Unfortunately you're gonna be hard pressed to find a significant pool of law makers that will hitch their wagon to any pro-gun bill right now. It's a strategy of sorts, and you really need to understand your enemy if you want to execute an effective strategy. Right now, pro-gun legislation is a losing strategy for pro-2A law makers. That is the reality of it.
 14.
Well, this one was first, and has misleading title, too, so that's always a plus. ;)   - OS
I don't watch this YouTube stuff so I went with the article I saw posted on Facebook linked to the Daily Mail. The guy is still the second half to this company even if he isn't the retard posting videos of safety violation after safety violation.
 15.
One of my customers has come out way ahead by playing this game. He already had 2 Colt ARs that he purchased from Wal-Mart long before the madness. He sold both on Gun Broker for double what he paid. He then used his inside sources at a couple Wal-Mart stores to buy 4 more in the last few weeks.
If his intention was to sell any of those 4 rifles the same as the last two, he is a felon and deserves to rot in a prison cell.
 16.
supply & demand.   I am befuddled that people here who decry communism and praise capitalism are offended by someone trying to turn a profit.  Suddenly when its a gun, its price gouging?   The demand for AR is out of sight: there isnt one on a shelf in a store here and has not been in weeks.   Therefore price increases to match the demand.   Its just capitalism at work.   If you do not like the price, don't buy one.   Laugh if you must, but I am not sure public links to the auctions is appropriate (even if funny).    What is funnier.... the stupidly high price, or that some are actually selling for this much, or that this price may seem low in 2 years?
Prices weren't this stupid after the 1994 ban, and there isn't even a ban in place or a chance of it happening for a while. Furthermore, I don't suspect much of this is folks selling their "personal stash." I find it suspicious when I see BNIB ARs and Mini 14s being sold en masse and they just happen to be the same models that Walmart carries all over the country. I believe that much of the artificial inflation in prices has to do with folks clearing the racks at gunstores and Walmarts then turning a profit. This is not only illegal, but it screws the whole gun owning community in regards to pricing and availability. As far as I know, Walmart is still receiving regular shipments of the stuff they have always sold and are selling it at the same price as always. You don't think it's wrong when somebody purchases those rifles with the purpose of reselling at a profit. That is pretty illegal if you're not an FFL dealer, but it is going on right now.
 17. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2259190/Keith-Ratliff-Popular-online-guns-explosives-expert-shot-death-rural-Georgia-road.html Just saw this. Anyone know if it is a hoax or not?
 18.
I've seen several ARs on GB sell above $5,000. That tells me there is money sloshing around in the economy. Maybe the economy is better than everyone thinks.
Those people coulda just gone to Walmart after a shipment and paid less than a grand. That's what the person selling them did.
 19. So are we seriously talking about 40mm hollow points? Haven't seen 'em in anything but tpt, hedp and smoke. I got a line on some hedp, but you'd have to buy a plane ticket to come pick it up.
 20.
In Illinois you have to have proof of insurance to get a license.
Huh? How does that work if you don't have a car? Furthermore, how does an insurance company sell a policy to you if you don't have a car to insure? Illinois is stupid.
 21. This is now the top story on Yahoo.  Awesome.  "Gun advocate has tirade on Poose Morgan."    You know, sometimes my 3 year old will have a tantrum about something that he is in the right about.  Currently his younger sibling is learning how to take things from him and break them, and he knows that he isn't allowed to hit her or be mean.  So instead, he will throw a loud tantrum and carry on.  While he is right to be upset about the situation, none of that matters since he decided to act like a lunatic about it rather than controlling his emotions.  So you see, the point of rightousness is lost on account of a childish tantrum.    Besides, if a mental patient escaped from a looney bin, then claimed that the sky was blue, I'd be inclined to agree with him, but it doesn't change the fact that he's crazy and it doesn't make him a damn meteorologist.
 22.
No one will be able to say it is an Evil Black Rifle.
They say that pink is the new black right now.
 23.
Vontar, that chart is misleading if you're using it to discuss murder by guns, as it does not include handguns. .
Right, but the point of that chart is to illustrate how silly a ban would be on any type of rifle, since rifles are hardly ever used in murders, that's what they are using as the rallying cry here; evil black rifles, not some low capacity Phoenix .25 cal Saturday night special, although it is the low capacity Saturday night special that is most commonly used in all these gun deaths.
 24. I'll break with the pack here. I've used EOTechs extensively. I haven't found anything more comfortable for clear and quick sight acquisition than the C-More red dot. If you get one sans rear iron sight you can put it on anything. After that, I haven't seen anything close to EOTechs with the exception of the Aimpoint micro dots.
 25.
If the object is to make yourself more prepared to deal with likely situations you might face then you really need to train with the same kind of equipment and clothing you will likely be wearing when you have to use it for real.
In that case I might show up for training with a bean bag chair, Cheetos, flip flops and a light coat of oil.
